Welcome. It's very unnerving when they start to call you sir or ma'am. And when people start saluting you in the halls as an officer...when you're not. xD The freshmen are still learning.

Susan is happy. LET one last year, obviously LET 2 this year. Started off as a squad leader. THen i had to get switched from Bravo to Delta because of my Chemistry class. Well my 1SG didnt want to give me 2 cadets for a squad, so he just put me as the assistant S-5. Currently working on the newsletter. I'm so happy I got asst. S-5

So I was passed over for Group Commander. But that's okay. I've been promoted to Special Assistant - I do everyone's lesson plans, set up projects, and anything else necessary for the running of the Corps. After our SASI left, I was assigned as SA to take his place, and hang out with my ASI (now new SASI), and help him out. I'm the only one in the corps with his own office on campus, lol.
And my experience (I'm in my 5th term of ROTC), I've attained the rank of Cadet Col, and I now have very little responsibility, since our MSgt takes care of most things for me. Very cool.

So far I'm a squad leader, but that's because I think there are other cadets who deserve to be the Platoon commanders. I just make recommendations to the Gunnery Sergeant on who should get what job. I could be a Platoon Sergeant, if I hadn't of denied the position.

right now im normally squad leader in inspections, when we strech for PT, and when we march. but for us it's first come first serve kinda. i did it the first month every time and then we all just naturally went to where we stood normally so i still normally am squad leader but no one really CHOSE anyone to be it. hopefully ill be more nxt year though since im only an NS1 [but im one of the higher ranking NS1s since ive passed both my tests. a few are already PO3s though cause they got best dressed first inspection. and im the same rank as some NS2s,and 3s][E-3]
