i absolutely love the Harry Potter movies, but i was upset when i saw the third one because it wasn't nearly as good as the first two. but now i like it more than i originally did! it does bug me a little that the movies aren't exactly like the books but i understand that you can't fit all the info from the books in a movie that's only 2 and half hours long. so i love the movies for what they are! biggrin
In my opinion, you don't get much more accurate than that. You have to cut the directors and script-writers some slack. They're working with a very sophisticated world that only truly exists in one's mind and the full world/universe is only understood perfectly by Rowling. And because she's a writer, she can tell you so much about how each scene is like and the feelings of each of the characters but in a movie you only have the actors and the deadline to work with, so it is not an easy job. Think about that the next time you watch it and give them that elbow room and you will probably enjoy the movies more. But you can't beat the books no matter what.
