I think I'm gonna talk about some gory japanese movies that freak me out.
Versus: anyone seen it? This one didn't freak me out too much but I actually liked it. Good action with a really slow storyline...typical of a japanese film.
Battle Royal: oh gawd this one totally freaked me out. The movie is good but the concept really gets my nerves jumping out of my skin. sweatdrop
Suicide Club/Circle: I never saw this movie, but someone explained it to me and I'm already freaked out. If anyone's seen this, please give me a synopsis because from what I've heard....I REALLY don't want to see it.... gonk

I've read the book fo Battle Royale. It keeps showing the potential to be a classic. A lot of the issues that it raises are very Lord of the Flies-esque. A very good read. I've been trying to get ahold of the movie, but I haven't really been trying hard enough.

I have heard of those. I have not watched them though as I tend not to go for the ultra brutal violence films. Although I did see the Passion done by Mel Gibson and I doubt you could get much more brutal than that.

For those of you who havent seen it let me just tell you it is full of suprises whee I heard from people that you can either really really like it, or really really hate it. Nothing in-between. I'd rather not take my chances.... sweatdrop

It's not frightening by any means, but it's filled with what can only be described as "Rediculous Violence". Easily the goriest, and possibly funniest movie I've ever seen.

I don't know if I would call The Village so much scary as tense with a psycholigical character acting/develoment. I liked the movie, but I didn't really find it scary. Dunno maybe I am just too jaded. sweatdrop In the vain of psychological movies with great character acting and writing though I saw Collateral on Friday and it blew me away. The writing on that movie is superb. Of course, again that is just me. wink
