Umm i'm not sure if computer games is in the guild but i'll name them:

In my opinion it's the best game of the series which as a whole is solar systems beyond anything else I've played. The influence of the game and the series as a whole greatly effects the games I play, in more ways than one considering my endless unquenchable hatred of EA for cutting the budget to Westwood and stopping the series before it finished.

I of course have favourites in every genre as well because it's hard to compare two games with completely different styles. Many independant games that I made a point of buying when no one else had heard of them turned out to be exceptional. Among them are the X-com series which I also completely own and an old game called Malkari that was in a genre of it's own until recently with the release of 'galactic civilisations' and 'Empire at war'. Very Few people have ever heard of Malkari but it formed a precedent for many future games, including the 3D movement system of Homeworld.

I'm something of a games conniseur(SP? sweatdrop ) because I do not play the over hyped popular games, at least not just because they are popular, and I inadvertently buy many unknown niche games that often turn out to be far better than hit games that try to fulfill a broad interest.

At least 15%... maybe 20% of my games would cause most people that follow developments in the games industry to scratch their heads in confusion because they've never heard of them. At least I tend to get games in a series before the series becomes popular. Many people had not heard of warcraft until the third game came out but I'd been following it since they released the demo of the first one, likewise I owned the original wolfenstien that formed a precedent for many better known games that wrongly took all the credit for being the first in a particular area.

Hmm, my favorite game is Gex: Enter the Gecko for Nintendo 64.

I love the space levels. Yay for lizard stormtroopers with lightsabers! heart

Favorite game? Eep.

Favorite computer game: right now, Sacred. Although when I got it, I got a corrupted file or something. sad So now I need to buy another copy. Although Myst is also a lot of fun, and Morrowind is way too addictive.

Favorite PS game: probably Legend of Mana. Although DDR is fun.

Favorite GameCube game: Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker. I enjoy Paper Mario too, but there's that one scene where he has to turn into a paper airplane and fly over to the ship... At least I've learned how to survive Legend of Zelda by myself.

Favorite PS2 game: oh, wait, no, my ex still has my system and all my PS2 titles. sad

I have a new favorite game now! It's--you guessed it--Valkyrie Profile 2!

For a long time, I didn't like a lot of things, and the battle system took some getting used to. But just today I realized I like VP2 more than VP1 now. In most ways, anyway.
