Keiran nodded his head to say that he would tell Kia the news. Reaching in to his bag, he pulled out a big bag of cookies. He smiled sheepishly, "Wolves have big appetites." He threw the bag on the table and ripped it open, leaning back to allow her access to the treats. "I guess it is time that she be told her heritage and what she is soon to be. The fact that she was never told is terrible. No wolf should be left in the dark...alone. It is a terrible fate that she shall never have to go through again. I am her mate, and I am here now." He grinned and sighed dreamily, "A wonderful future lays ahead, no doubt."

Kathren eagerly grabbed a cookie and dragged it along her bottom lip before stuffing it in her mouth. She nodded and turned her attention to Mr.Maccony. He handed out a piece of paper that dictated the lab partners. Looking at the sheet, Kathren noticed her name beside Keiran's. She immediately started giggling. "I guess it's convenient that we just made friends."

Keiran hummed in acknowledgement and started to stare off in to space, daydreaming. A harsh ringing from the bell filled the silence of the room, and he jolted into awareness. Grabbing his bags and heading off to his locker, Keiran got sidetracked by the teacher. After a quick scolding, he returned to his original path.
Kia's locker also happend to be next to his and they both bumped in to each other trying to get there first. She smiled softly up at him with a shy look in her eyes. They stared at each other, both absorbed in the moment when Kathren's joyous greeting woke them up. Kia looked away blushing while Keiran looked at Kathren annoyed.
"Kia, Ill be coming with you two into the forest. I will have the chance to explain more about our...situation in the secret location my people had made for us." Keiran trailed off at her nod and he reddened as he felt her brush up against him. He gasped slightly and she turned to him in confusion. He shrugged it off and waited patiently for the girls to finish.

Kathren left her bag and books inside her locker, the only thing that she kept with her was a sketchbook and Pencil. She slammed the locker closed and turned to Kia. "Confused yet?", she teased.

Kia giggled and nodded her head vigorously. "Very..." She placed all her books in her locker before closing it and placing the lock back on. Whe she turned around, an arm was in her view. Keiran was waiting for her to take it and walk with him. With a mischevious grin, she did as he wanted but she also grabbed on to Kathren as well. He looked at her in mild surprise before pouting and looking away. He was giving Kathren the evil eye as they started to walk down the isle. All the 'norms', people who weren't another species, ducked out of the way of the imposing group.

Darting down the stairs with Kia in arm, Kathren began describing her class with Keiran. When they got out of the building and across the parking lot, she reached around and poked Keiran in the ribs. She abruptly let go of Kia's arm and ran across the street into the forest. Stopping at the entrance, she whirled around and waved. "Come on, you slow pokes. Hide and seek isnt going to wait forever."

Kia started to giggle as she looked at Keirans face. Sticking her tongue out at him, she whispered in his ear. "Catch me if you can..." With that she took off running, leaving a shocked Keiran behind. His confusion was short lived, and he soon began to smile a simpered smile. A gleam entered his eye and he let out a predatorial chuckle. "Let the games begin."
Kia tryed to keep herslef upright as she laughed in delight. Keiran was chasing her and she was chasing Kathren. The first to catch someone was Keiran as he pounced on a hyper Kia. "Got ya..." Kia stopped laughing and blushed as he stared down at her intently, all joking gone. She suddenly started to tickle him which ended up with him on the ground and her laughing again and running. She took off after Kathren and ran straight into her friends unmoving figure.

Kathren braced herself as Kia ran into her. She had almost forgot something important. "Kia, There is something Keiran needs to tell you. We should do it sooner rather than later. I don't want to put it off any longer. 16 years is long enough I think." She smiled and motioned to Keiran. "After we'll play a game, ok?"

Kia nodded her head with some hesitance as Kathren was rarely serious. She looked at the two figures with her in slight aprehension and gave Kathren a weak grin which showed her trepidation. "Alright then...Keiran lead the way..."
Keiran gave Kia a reassuring smile and started to talk ahead of the girls. They continued to walk for a half hour before he put his arm to the side, signaling them to stop. He looked back with an excited smile as he slowly waved his hand out in front of him. The girls gasped as his hand started to glow before a small opening appeared that hadn't been there before.

Keiran smiled happily at their stunned faces. "Welcome to my 'Secret place'." He started to laugh at their still shocked looks and grabbed Kia's hand to pull her inside. She took his hand in a daze and let her self be led in to a beautiful clearing.
Where before there had only been a crowded forest with trees, there was now a peaceful scene. A large area was shrouded in a slight mist that smelled refeshing to the feline and canines after the harsh smell of pollution that hung in the city. A small brook led into a larger river, surrounded by soft grass. A majestic wheeping willow leant over the river, with a large bench on the bank which was protected by the tree. Wild flowers were abundant and filled the air with an even sweeter fragrance.
Kia stood in awe of it all, her eyes drinking everything in. "Its...beautiful...so beautiful." She started to giggle in excitement and pulled Kathren with her to the river. "Look...Kathren, there's a river..." She giggled more and took off her shoes to dip her foot into the water. "It's really warm..."

Kathren breathed in the fresh air as she was dragged to the river by Kia. She joined Kia in dipping her toes in the water, replying "Its is." Kneeling down, she felt the soft grass in her fingers and turned to Keiran waiting for his next move.

Keiran watched the two with a small smile on his face. "Kia...It's time." He knelt down beside her and helped her to her feet, and the trio walked over to the bench under the weeping willow. He sat down on the bench, placing Kia at his feet.
Kia looked down at the ground, not meeting his gaze as she pulled innocent blades of grass from the ground. "Kia...Look up at me." When she obeyed, he looked off into the distance remembering a tale he had been told as a child.
"You see Kia, your parents weren't killed in a car crash. They were murdered by a band of mercenaries who were after you. You were to be used as a ransom to my parents. Um...Well,....At your birth, my parents and yours made an agreement. When you turned eighteen, we were to be wed. Uniting the two royal families of Wolves together...But you were lost to us. Something happend to the group who had kidnapped you, and you disappeared. When I saw you in class,...I knew it was you. Your scent was imprinted on my memory and I was finally complete."

Kathren sat by the river with her ears perked, listening to make sure Keiran got all the details right. After listening for a while, she nodded her head in approval and continued splashing her feet in the water. She then again perked up her ears, waiting for Kia's reaction and reply.

Kia sat as still as a statue as she processed all he had just said. She was a...wolf...and his fiance....Confusion came over her face, Her parents had been...murdered! She turned around and stared out at the river, guilt and fear and finally immense pain washing over her expression. Her parents had been murdered!! A feral growl came through her lips, disolving into a chocked sob as she fell to the ground in tears.
Keiran gave her a pitied look as she lay shaking uncontrollably. "BASTARDS! I'LL KILL THEM ALL!!" Keiran looked at her in slight fear before he bent down to her level. His hand reached out to touch her shoulder but he was soon knocked to the ground by her body tackling him. Her arms clung to him desperately as her tears soaked his shirt. "I'll kill them all, I'll them all." She kept repeating her mantra over and over, as he held her and rocked her.

At the sound of Kia's reaction, Kathren got up and walked over to where she was under the willow tree. Looking at Kia sobbing in Keiran's arms, Kathren simply patted Kia on the head softly. Kathren reassured, "We are here for you."
