So far I like the new stuff. I hope they add more Werewolves and wolves as I've noticed cards that talk about both of them like moonmist. So may be more wolf cards to come. i'm a little sad to see ENDLESS RANKS OF THE DEAD. I was hoping the token making card would be for wolves and the new Garruk is kinda well he is good in one way but its going to be hard to flip him. Also why did they do 1/1 wolves with DT why not 2/2 wolves like normal?

I agree! Im loving him already! Sure its going to be hard to flip him, unless you use his first 0 ability, but i don't think he should be underestimated. I mean.. I think his +1 ability is really good.

though he doesn't have a transform ability garruk will be quite easy to flip *cards like gutshot breaking the format cough cough*
at least then you can make a scary wolf token. Big fan of him.
and now I'll need to come up with an excuse as to why I want my grave titans back from my friend hahaha. Endless is flavorful, good, and what I'm going to build my next casual deck around. Time to necro my paradox hazes. And why not, throw in some high preists while I'm at it, a few rooftops, scary fatties... Ya know what? I have a dralnu I'm not using. I'm going way to overbored xP

Also why did they do 1/1 wolves with DT why not 2/2 wolves like normal? For the 1/1 wolves he's cursed. if you read the comic, you'll understand the curse better. Also, you can just deal three damage to a 1/1 to transform.

Okay, so I didn't read all the posts in here or anything, but I just wanted to throw my two cents in here and see how people respond.
Opinion of the set thus far: Curious but puzzled. It seems to me like they're hell-bent on re-doing Kamigawa as something decent. The Spirit aspect and transform cards, as well as a slight preoccupation with humans vs. other (spirits in Innistrad's case as well, one could easily argue). I want to see how this set is going to function, especially with the themes in Scars block.
Specific Cards: Liliana: 3 mana? Reanimate/ Dredge/ Hellbent enabler? Heck yes!
Garruk: I think a flip planeswalker was pushing it but...I want a playset of these so badly already. It meshes so well with my B/G midrange control deck.
Vampires: I don't rightly know how to feel about red vampires. I mean, I guess it makes sense, but my mind doesn't want to accept it. Olivia Voldaren is pretty amazing, though, and I'm seriously digging Stormkirk Noble.
Werewolves/Transform variant on werewolves: Seems like a right pain to me. I have to rely on my opponent not playing spells to transform my puny human into a threat (unless I'm mis-understanding it)? I love the idea, hate the execution right now. Cool as all get-out, but they don't seem very viable to me in play without cards such as Orim's Chant, Silence, and Abeyance.
Enemy Lands: YES!
Humans as a tribe: This just feels strange. It makes sense in the setting, and we all knew it would feel strange, but that doesn't reduce the strangeness at all.
Flashback: heart

Yeah after looking in to him I do really like him and I see now how every thing fits together. it was just kinda a shock when he 1st came out. Also he will work great in my wolf deck.

Just do get you thinking. I can see how it can be compared to kamigawa, though spirits aren't the only thing here. It's actually pretty split. Vampires for once seem to be getting the bloodlust psychopath feel to them now with bloodthirst. Werewolves seem to get other ways to trigger the transform mechanic and moonmist is a good one. Zombies are just ballin' and I NEVER say that. The entire block is focused around classic horror stories, movies, novels, the whole lot. I will admit, transform is odd but we won't know if it's good or bad until we play it. I'm loving the flavor the set brings as a whole but it makes me want to know what is going to happen in the block. give it some time. Play it a bit. I'd like to what others think after a few limited games

I have a odd Feeling now that Werewolves are going to be one hell of a tribe. Seems like ever one that is Spoiled is better and stronger than the last one. Any one else think this?
