Daniel's jaw dropped when he heard Maria's line, missing the threatening undertone. Say what? He dropped his fist and looked to Maria, confused as hell. Only to witness her striking him between the legs. Both Daniel and Lance winced, both covering their respective crotches due to sympathy pains.
"Now, I would suggest that you get your bony a** off of the ground and out of the park before sunset or you'll be jaw dropping again."
Daniel began looking sympathetically down at Derrick, knowing the pain of being stricken in such a place. However, he did condone Maria's actions as Derrick was being a p***k.
Lance cowered slightly when Maria turned to him. She was in scary mode. "I-I'm pretty sure they're at the Ripcord...." he said.

"I-I'm pretty sure they're at the Ripcord...." Lance replied, looked pretty scared o Maria in her 'angry mode'. She shrugged it off and took no offence to it, after all, Lance didn't need to act that way, she had only kicked Derrick in the balls the last time she had checked. Besides, she was in no mod whatsoever to deal with the pervert and his ludicrous conditions.
After thanking Lance for the information, Maria turned around to look at Daniel, flashing him a mini smile before urging him to move away from the scene. "We should probably go find the last two now its..." Maria paused to turn to her watch and check the time, "its about 4:30 now." She nodded before digging through her bag to pull out her drink for another huge gulp. It was refreshing. After she finished with the bottle, she threw it out and went to take a look at the map.
"So... Ripcord appears to be quite a distance from here. Are there any shortcuts we might be able to take?" Maria asked Daniel as she looked at the map beside him.

Still somewhat disturbed by Maria's attack on Derrick, Daniel stood by Maria, looking at the map. He scanned it, looking for some way that would be faster than the other possible routes.
"I don't see anything," Daniel admitted in defeat. After getting a quick bearing on his directions, he began slowly walking with Maria towards the Ripcord. Daniel made sure to stay pretty close to Maria, still not forgetting the incident with the old man.
As they began to walk, a sort of awkward silence feel between the two of them. After all, how would one respond after being blatantly told that they should be a couple with one of their friends, then witness said accuser be assaulted to the groin?

The silence was bugging Maria. It was awkward and hard to try and start up a conversation. She was feeling almost the same as Daniel at this point. Maria was wondering about the whole pairing idea their stupid friends had decided to pounce on them. She kept running over different reasons, excuses, stupid things to make more sense to her. '...besides, he's most likely not looking for a relationship...after all, he and... whats-her-face just broke up.' She shook her head disapprovingly. 'We've been friends for what seems like forever....and it just seems like it should stay that way...that it would be better...' Maria was mumbling things under her breath as her mind whirled about.
Maria, herself, had never really had a long lasting relationship. She had had one with a guy named Jordan in grade ten but they had broken up a few weeks later. It was not a working relationship and they both agreed on that. They used to be friends. They weren't friends anymore. It just became too awkward and they eventually stopped talking to each other. Maria missed their friendship a little and she could be that Jordan had as well but there was nothing they could do to try and fix it back to the way it was before.
Eventually she pulled herself out of it when the Ripcord came into view. Her voice caught in her throat, her mind jumping ahead of her leaving her actions with out words.
"T-that's it!" she exclaimed with a studder. Her eyes then scanned the line for any sight of the guys. She couldn't remember what they looked like for some reason which left her feeling embarrassed. "Er...do you seem them anywhere?" she asked Daniel, avoiding looking at him.

When they showed up, Maria stuttered out a "T-that's it!" before looking over the line like Daniel already was. Unfortunately, it was looking like once again they were a bit too late. Daniel couldn't see either Bill or Ted in the line.
Daniel opened his mouth to say he couldn't see them when a loud yell could be heard above them as the next rider of the Ripcord swung above them. However, there was a familiarness to the voice of the yeller, which drew Daniel's attention.
"Found Bill," Daniel said dumbly as he watched Bill swing on the ride, laughing like a madman. It took a few minutes for his momentum to slow enough to stop him, but soon enough he was walking back towards the two, grinning like an idiot.
"Aw, look at the..." he began, but he stopped when he saw the look on their faces, "... good... friends... what's up? What happened?"
"Derrick," Daniel answered plainly, causing Bill to wince. Derrick was renown amongst their little circle for being an a**. "Where's Ted?" asked Daniel looking around.
"I dunno..." Bill said, looking around, "He was here a minute ago..."

There was Bill but no sign of Ted anywhere. Maria scanned the crowd for him but she saw no clue as to where he could have been. It seemed a bit unusual to her, after all, every other group was together.
"Aw, look at the..." he began as both Maria and Daniel shot Bill subtle looks indicating that he should choose his words wisely "... good... friends... what's up? What happened?" It was a good thing to that he had decided to say 'good friends' instead of 'couple'. It only further proved to Maria that the whole group, was indeed, in on the little love match up. She wanted to know why. She wouldn't ask at this point in time, after all they still had to make sure everyone was out of the park safely before she could go around and ask in a very, suggestive tone as to why they decided to play that lovely prank on her and Daniel, if it could be called that.
Maria's thoughts had managed to drift off once again before being brought down to earth by Daniel's one word response to Bill's question. "Derrick." The word obviously had enough power to make the guy wince. It was true, Derrick was the a*****e of the group. "Where's Ted?" asked Daniel looking around.
"I dunno..." Bill said, looking around, "He was here a minute ago..."
Maria fiddled with her bag's strap before looking at Bill. "We should probably go and find him. Do you know if he went to the washroom or maybe to get something to eat?" she asked, thinking of the most rational explanations first. "Its sort of important," she began to explain, looking at Daniel for a moment, wondering if he wanted to go explaining to Bill as to why they were leaving before sunset.

Bill looked between the two upon the word 'important'. It was obvious he was becoming worried.
"Like, how important?" he asked, "Mondo-super-life-or-death important, or wanting to date somebody's relative important?" Daniel made a confused face at Bill, wondering how a guy could be that weird.
"Listen," Daniel cut in, "We were just wanting to get the hell outta here before night. We need to get everyone to agree to it, and you and Ted are the only ones who haven't agreed yet."
"I'm in," Bill immediately said, causing Daniel to c**k an eyebrow, "This place has been creeping me out all day, bro. I've been seeing weird s**t."
"Cool, but where's Ted?" Daniel asked, knowing he had to get Bill back on track as he was easy to distract.
"Right, uh, he could actually be over at Fear Mountain," Bill began, looking up and making a strained face, showing just has difficult it was for him to think. "Just when I was getting ready to go, I saw him talking to this chick... I told him that we were all supposed to ride Fear Mountain together, but you know Ted, he doesn't think with the head on his shoulders."

Ted wasn't with Bill. That seemed like an omen. Then again, Bill did mention a girl which made Maria sigh. It was just like the guy to go running off with someone else, leaving one of the others all alone. "Gotcha," she replied, stuffing her hands into her pockets. "I guess we have to go to Fear Mountain then." Maria took a look at the map in Daniel's hand to inspect the distance in between the two points. "Greeeeeeat. It's on the other side of the park!" she muttered with discontent. They had been running around for a good portion of the day already and, truth be told, Maria's feet were really starting to hurt. She could swear that her blisters would have blisters by the end of the day.
With a brief sigh she turned to look at Daniel, cocking her own eye brow. "Well, I don't suppose we should leave Bill here," she began shrugging her shoulders. she then turned to face Bill. "Since you're all ready to leave, why not stick with us? An extra pair of eyes could be helpful." She smiled politely just as she turned to scan the crowds.
"And once we're done rounding up everyone, can we please stop for something like ice cream and take a bit of a break? Not to complain but my feet are killing me!"

Upon Maria's complaints of the distance of Fear Mountain from their location, Daniel just rolled his eyes. Not giving her time to react, Daniel ducked down and positioned his shoulder to her waist while wrapping an arm around the back of her knees. He then stood up.
Said actions resulted in Maria over Daniel's shoulder like a sack of potatoes. Bill snirked at the 'couple', but immediately looked away when Daniel's gaze rolled over him in anger. He attempted a straight face before turning to Maria, which was amusing because this caused Daniel having to turn around so they could speak face-to-face. Which made Bill begin shaking from holding in laughter.
"Yeah," he said shakily, failing horribly at trying to keep his amusement to himself, "I'll go with you two." Daniel began marching off, Bill following along, heading towards Fear Mountain. At first, Daniel felt at ease due to the shenanigans, but the closer they got to Fear Mountain, the more Daniel felt a knot of fear grow in his stomach. Something about Fear Mountain seemed foreboding to him, like he was somehow in some ridiculous funeral procession.
Daniel ignored this sensation, however, trying to keep the facade of merriment. Bill was still trying to maintain his composure, not able to look at the two, while most people around them were either snickering slightly or cooing at the quote unquote 'cute couple'.

Before Maria could protest, she was swung up over Daniel's shoulders, her arms hanging down, her legs pinned against Daniel. She was struggling on his shoulder for a moment, extremely uncomfortable; she was slowly gaining a rush of blood to her head. "Put me down!" she whined as Daniel began to move about, turning around so that she could face Bill. She was beet red with embarrassment and and frustration. Her eyes locked Bill's for a moment, and then she turned a brighter red as she tried to hide her face behind the curtain of dark brown hair. She could tell that Bill was trying his best to not laugh at them but it was obvious that it wasn't working too well. Eventually she gave up and just let Daniel carry her.
Maria was trying her best to ignore and tune out the sounds and people around her as Daniel walked, her still slung over her shoulder. She felt a little light headed and started nudging Daniel with her elbow. "Hey...can you please put me down? I'm starting to feel light headed."
When she looked up to ask Bill to help plead her case she noticed just how dark it was getting. The sun had disappeared behind thick, grey clouds that threatened rain. With the loss of the sun came cool, chilly winds. Maria checked her watch the best she could. Since Daniel was carrying her, it had taken longer to arrive at the attraction. "It's about 5:15 now," she announced to the small trio. "We have about an hour and fifty minutes before sunsets." She didn't like this conclusion. Maria was beginning to feel very uneasy as nervousness welled up in her stomach. She just hopped that they could leave the park before sunset.

"Hey...can you please put me down? I'm starting to feel light headed."
Daniel knelt down, setting Maria's feet on the ground safely. When he got back up, Daniel messed up Maria's hair like adults did affectionately to little boys and began walking along before she announced the time and how long they had until dark. Daniel turned around to Maria, motioning her forward.
"Then we better hurry," he reasoned, "C'mon!"
Daniel turned back around, leading the group towards Fear Mountain. When they arrived, however, they found something odd. The whole group was standing in front of it, looking at it excitedly. Well, the whole group minus Ted. Daniel walked up to the group, ignoring the still-in-pain Derrick.
"Hey, you guys seen Ted?" he asked before having a round of denial around.

It had felt good to have her feet firmly on the ground. Maria's head had stopped spinning a few minutes allowing her to focus a bit more. Daniel then went and messed up her hair. She lunged at him to mess up is hair only to stop dead in her tracks. There was no time to fool around when they had important things to tend to. Soon enough she was being dragged off to Fear Mountain, her gut twisting tighter with every step. Each step, she knew, would take away more time from getting the hell out of the amusement park.
She stopped dead in her tracks once more when she noticed that everyone was at the ride. She assumed that it made sense for them to be there but still, it was really odd that they were all just standing there.
Daniel was already asking everyone about the missing Ted and the only responses they had managed to get where that they had seen head nor hide of the guy. Maria gulped. She had a bad feeling about this. She turned to look at Daniel hopping that, since everyone was there, that they would just leave. She somehow doubted that this would happen. "S-since everyone is here, shouldn't we head back to the van?" Maria asked nervously.

"S-since everyone is here, shouldn't we head back to the van?" Maria asked nervously. Daniel opened his mouth to agree, only to be interrupted by a loud "Hell no!" Daniel turned to the source, Tommy, cocking his eyebrow.
"Dude," he began as if it was obvious, "We're riding Fear Mountain first! This was the one thing we all wanted to do. So come on, let's go!" The rest of the group agreed and cheered, leaving Daniel and Maria behind, looking after them.
Daniel looked over at Maria, knot of fear and self-preservation strong in his stomach. "So, uh," Daniel began before hearing yells from the group. Daniel groaned and rubbed his eyes.
"Looks like we're riding Fear Mountain first," Daniel said. Truthfully, he really didn't want to. He just wanted to get the hell out of this place. Daniel got into the line behind the rest of their friends, and all too quickly they were next in line. It was a five-cart train, each cart housing four seats in two rows. Derrick and Lance took the front like agreed to, and everyone else took the middle carts.
The only seats left were in the far back, and Daniel reluctantly made his way to the back. Some random couple got ahead of them and took the front-most row in the back cart, leaving the very last row.
Daniel got into his seat, unable to shake the feeling he was about to go to his grave. But, hell, nothing wasn't going to happen, right?

A short argument had followed after her suggestion. It was unlikely that they were going to be able to talk the group out of going through with the whole 'riding Fear Mountain' idea.
"Looks like we're riding Fear Mountain first," Daniel said. This only made Maria's heart sink farther into fear. There was no backing out of it even if she really didn't want to ride the roller coaster.
Maria took Daniel's arm for support. She was feeling frightened as well. "W-well it just goes to show you that the name is what it implies," she tried to joke. It wasn't working too well and before she knew it, they were at the front of the line.
A few people had gotten in line before them and filled in the upper most seats. That made Maria feel even worse. Daniel and her would be forced to go and sit in the back row of the roller coaster. She edged her way slowly beside Daniel. Maria was so jumpy that she was glancing around the area, keeping her eyes peeled for anything. The safety bars came down on her suddenly making her yelp in surprise, along with jump in her seat. 'Why, oh why does this feel like I'm being trapped?' she thought looking around once again. Maria tried to force a smile, to reassure not only herself but Daniel as well, but it wasn't working out well.
The safety lecture soon progressed, after everyone was belted and strapped in tightly. Maria gripped the bars that held her in place tightly. She was literally shaking as the announcer told the passengers that the ride would commence shortly.

After the safety lecture, the ride began. It ominously clacked as the chain began pulling it forward, up to the first hill of the ride. It was a really large hill. Daniel looked to the side and saw Maria literally trembling in fear. Not knowing anything else to do, he placed his hand over hers assuredly as the roller coaster began going over the hill.
Daniel released Maria's hand and gripped the safety bars nearest him as he knew that soon the ride would really start. They were really high up in the air, and could practically see the whole amusement park. Soon enough, they built momentum and began what seemed to be free-falling down the track before being diverted just before they were splatted on the ground.
Daniel had to admit, it was a fun ride. They went upside down once or twice, and there were lots of twists and turns. It wasn't too bad. There were cheesy little pop-outs meant to scare them around corners, but they were more comical than anything else. Daniel felt relieved. It wasn't as bad as he thought.
Soon, they were progressing up another hill. This hill was about the same height as the other one, so when they were close to the top they needed extra assistance getting to the top, so another chain caught them and took them to the top.
Soon, they were free-falling again, only this time the track disappeared into the ground. Daniel couldn't help but let out a yell, like everyone else, when he thought they were going to become nothing more than a smear on the ground.
Except, they didn't. Instead, the well-camouflaged curtains brushed past them as they began going underground on the track. Daniel turned to Maria, smiling.
"Looks like we were worrying for n-" Daniel began yelling at her over the roar of the air before he was cut off by a loud clack. Daniel's head whipped forward as he briefly saw the rest of the train continue going off as their own individual cart diverted course before being dropped into a vast, black pit.
So much for nothing to worry about.
