Um TV broadcasting turned ultra conservative after the Superbowl incident and had an effect on policy.
Im stating that Mood swings happen in public policy everywhere and I doubt the seriousness of an overall policy being created when Kim Jong Il was drunk. I can however see people being deported to gulags because of it but no direct Policy changes over HIS Personal mood swings. Again I agree he does have a temper and mood swings in real life but I dont think given how the Party and Military refused the younger son as heir (the one most like him) that he is in a position anymore to make policy and probably hasnt been for awhile.
These Madman ideals of Kim are simply because Kim and the Party have had a rift and when that occured the military would take sides... and guess what side the military took... Not Kim's...
There isnt any random oppression most of the policies such as families being deported to gulags was stopped under Kim Jong Ils and was enacted by father in the 1970's.
I firmly disagree. I believe television and the media has been deeply conservative since I was like 7 or so. Once they stopped airing beavis and butthead to kids like me and having a public cable porn channel. This was long before the boob incident. Which I saw on t.v. when it originally happened. The tit wasn't even shown for more than a split second. *shrugs* No worse than you'd see on national geographic, assuming you have the cable that was actually airing the super bowl to begin with.
I don't specifically know Kim Jong Il or his policies at all. I do know American society fairly well, and though it's deep rooted in christianity and conservative, they tend to make thought out decisions... until of course, the patriot act, making everything almost like martial law. We're in a permanent wartime state.
A cog in the American death machine....
Histeria? That show along with many others would never be able to get on the US media/television
