Rae looked at the flower on top of the egg a moment. Listening to what Benvolio said. "Amazing." Rae smiled,"I'll keep it on there. I want to be able to tell everything thats happening."
She picked up the flower that had fallen from her nose and inspected it a moment before returning her attention to Benvolio. "Thank you. You've made this a lot less stressful for me."
Lily's flower sprouted in her hand and she closed her hand to cover it. But it was only a regular plain green color. Lily already knew her sickness but she didn't want Rae to see it in case she thought that it was contagious.

Benvolio Bowed yet again. " I'm glad to help. I was trained to be a court magi so domestic magic is my forte."
Turning he ushered Lily out the door.
" Come along Lets leave the mother to her rest."

Lily nodded and left with Benvolio. Still getting one last glimpse at the egg and Rae. Then her excitement burst through. "I GOT TO SEE A DRAGON! Up close! That was amazing!" SHe was pretty much bouncing with joy and excitement. "And a baby dragon egg it was marvelous! How many people can say they saw all that?"

"That sounds like fun!," Tira said, "hopefully Valen or the Captain will let us stay here for a little longer than a day, then we could definitely do that." Tira was quite excited, it was sorta like getting a backstage pass to a show if you went with a Dragon, or half-Dragon. At least that is how she viewed it.

When Benvolio and Lily returned Valen asked, "is everything alright?"
(I have a couple more stops lined up after this, but is there anywhere where someone else would like to go first? Or do?
Also I am sorry for my lack of posting... work AND school this semester... hasn't left much time for fun times... I wonder if I will ever beat FF X-2....)

(Yea I know what you mean, I have school the two days I'm off of work. Its hard to find time for yourself. >_<. I don't have anything planned other then Vhaidra and Tira returning soon. However sometime in the future I would like to land somewhere to give Lily a side story. I want them to land for the three nights of the full moon. Preferable in a place that has like a forested or plain area. Its however just an idea and we don't ahve to do it. Specially since Benvolio is going to have to participate quite a bit.)

( actually I have stunningly little to do at the moment. I would have been on more but ....well....I been playing Suikoden. And looking like a mad man for my copy of Suikoden 2. .....I am not paying 200$ for a new copy. scream
Um other then that I have not been doing much.
As to events I have something big planed for the bounty hunters and eventually I may have the WALL attack someone. )

(Absolutely love the Suikodens. I have them all but the third one. Can't you find like ummm... a computer emulator one?)
Lily looked at something in her hand that she had picked up and quickly stashed it in her pocket."Benvolio I need to talk to you."
She didn't give him time to answer just dragged his arm with unwoman strength to a more secluded area while she flashed a smile to Valen and everyone else. "Give us a moment please."
Once Lily knew they were alone she pulled out a small black petal. "Are you okay Benvolio?" Handed the petal to him. "You told Rae if it was black to take the egg to a holy place."

(Hmm... that could be fun... Well, my next stops I have planned are first going to Valen's knight order so that he can pay Balthier for all of this travel time, as well as just say hi to everyone, oh and check his mail... lol
And then on to Ellyrion! And the high life of Elvish society. That is what I see in the immediate future anyway.
And yeah, I have work 5 days a week (always on weekends) and school 5 days a week...)

Vhaidra looked up at the sky outside her cave as she looked ta the thrumming crystal. "We should head back I would love to sleep in my room. It will be like a mini slumber party with you and Lily there."

Upon heading back Vhaidra knew something was wrong. She started to have a mini freak out for a moment. "Where's dad? Where's MOM?" They would never leave guests just to wander around for themselves.
What else tipped her off was the way Balthier and Valen seemed to be talking to each other. "Did something happen?" Her voice was shaky.

"So you saw did you? The black flower denotes a black curse, usually demonic in nature." Benvolio's face lost all of it's color. " And here I hoped I would be burning in hell long before you ever found out why. " Pulling his violin from a hidden place as usual he gently held it up before her. It's delicate strings caught the light like the finest spiders webs and the golden gloss of the wood shone. Then he tossed it up into the air, caught it by it's neck and slammed it into the floor.
There was not sound of wood shattering. No final mournful cry. Just a cracked floor tile and some dust from the impact.. The violin itself looked as if nothing at all had just happened. Plucking a single note on the strings Benvolio demonstrated that it had not even lost it's tune.
" I'm dammed. And this foul thing is the instrument of my damnation. The Dancing Devil was indeed won by a bard in a contest with a demon god, but only he actually had the right to hold it. Any other bard that does so must sometime in his life duel the same demon or lose his soul. I lost a good friend to this dammed thing. My first teacher. Watched the demon suck the life right out of him. He was three times the musician I am and that didn't save him. Foolish kid that I was I made a bet with the demon. "
Benvolio laughed at that. A sad self mocking chuckle. " What possessed me I don't know, but I bet the demon my soul against the soul of my master that I would beat it when my time came. The hideous thing took me up on it. It laughed and tossed me the Devil. Vanished in a burst of lights, smoke and sound. Then my mother hired Tony to teach me. "
" Want to know the worst part. My mother knew. She knew the whole time that my teacher had the Devil and was counting on me inheriting it. The only time in my life the evil witch ever said she was proud of me was when I showed her the dam thing. Apparently my magical ability was more important to her then my soul. So now I have two choices. One I can summon the demon at any time and just get it over with. Maybe I win maybe I don't. Two I wait for him to come to me, and the demon doesn't take chances. He will wait till I'm a has been. Not in glory days, or in my last blaze of glory, but when I am down and out with nothing in me to beat him with. "

(Nah it was just fine. Been waiting for someone to post for waaaaayyyy too long. *ahem* SWK Im tlaking to you! Where are you?)
Lily's frown deepened as Benvolio went on with his story. "Do you have to do it alone? I can help! It shouldn't be true that you wouldn't win. I've never seen anyone play as beautiful as you do. Why not call him when your most confident in your skills? That way you have the best chance of beating him."
Lily had to hold back her true worry for Benvolio and wait for that. If she could bolster him up in some confidence maybe he wouldn't be as worried about it. Lily wasn't sure though if she could really handle losing Benvolio. Especially since he was the one that had healed her broken heart and dreams, by healing her and teaching her that she had a gift. He hadn't cared that she was sick or couldn't change into a werewolf and he also didn't care that she was a werewolf.
Benvolio was the only true friend Lily had really had. Lily had come to realize this recently and the thought of him losing his soul was not something she could tolerate.

He nodded as if to agree with her.
" And there is the trap. You tell yourself everyday that you will be ready. That you haven't reached your peak. Then one day the Demons come, and you know your lost. My first master." For a moment a distant look came into his eyes.
" My first master was no coward like me. He called them. Remember that song I sung the first night we met i that inn. "

Benvolio just sat silent for a moment then in a far away voice he asked Lily
" If you find me dead one day make me a promise. Don't you dare touch the Devil! Get Valen or Cryoalpha to hide it somewhere.It cant hurt them. I can't hope it will be lost forever, but maybe those bastards can go hungry for a few generations. "

"I won't find you dead." She was very determined in that, but she wasn't quite sure how to help Benvolio yet. Although she said that Lily nodded in agreement with him, she promised she wouldn't touch it. Luna gave an irratated meow as she walked into the kitcen breaking the silence that Lily and Benvolio had at the moment.
Lily didn't know what to sy to make it any better. What could you say to someone that could die any second of the day? She rememebred Benvolio waited for her outside the doctors office as she got her horrible dis]agnosis. One that didn't even matter compared to what Benvolio had to look forward to. Yet he was still beside her and sympathetic.
She picked up the grumpy Luna and put her in her large coat pocket as Lily leaned in and said. "We can figure this out together."
