Walking by the entrance to the garden as she catches bugs, Errie seems to feel the pull the turbulent emotions so recently seen in the garden have upon the aura of her power. She slings her beaten-up net over her shoulder and walks into the garden, trying to amplify her aura a bit to make the place feel better.

((2 - weak success. Enough positive energy washes over the garden to at least take the edge off of whoever might be there and enable them to relax if that's what they were already trying to do.))
"Hello? Anyone here?" And then softly, more to herself than anybody who might be here, "Such a lovely garden deserves a bit more cheer..."

The_Errand_Girl ((2 - weak success. And then softly, more to herself than anybody who might be here, "Such a lovely garden deserves a bit more cheer..." Fauntine abruptly halts her advance. She senses magic again, however subtle. She calls to the oak with puzzelment, the tree mumuring back of a presence near the edge of the garden.
Seeing that the Governor was not going anywhere, Fauntine decided to hold off introductions and investagate the source of the energy.

Errie walks in a bit further, taking in the beauty of the garden. There are insects around, but she leaves her net slung over her shoulder. To capture bugs in this place would be a transgression, she feels.

Fauntine senses movement up ahead, and she is on her guard. The memory of what she had witnessed was still fresh in her mind, and she did not want to take any chances. She rounded a path and came upon a young girl with a net, the girl's back was to her, but Fauntine could sense that this is where the energy had originated. Curious, she rustled some leaves, annoucing her presence.

The Errand Girl turns and smiles. "Hello. This place was feeling bad, I thought I should bring it some cheer."

Fauntine appraises the girl for a moment, sensing that she seems sincere. She lowers her guard a bit, and manages a faint smile. "Well, after that Hollow individual, this place could use all the cheering up it can get. He left a taint here....his powers are, unsettling to the earth." She seems confused for a moment, unsure how to clarify her point. Then she gives up and relaxes, trying to convey some sort of composure "So what may I call you?"

"I'm just the Errand Girl. Most call me Errie by now, so I guess you can call me that too. You... talk to the earth?"

"Well, Errie, yes I talk to the earth. It is one of my gifts...something that was passed down to me from my mother. I have a few of my fathers gifts as well, but I don't focus on them as much as my earth abilities. Anything pertaining to him is worthless to me..." She trails off, wondering if she has said too much. Fauntine glosses over her blunder with a subject change. " Mr Nevermore is around here resting....I was about to introduce myself...Did you want to come with me? My name is Fauntine by the way." She smiles and holds out her hand.
((AFK for a bit...about an hour acutally, I have to get some lunch and run a few errands. Not to mention, I am waiting for your highness to get online....lol))

"Mr. Nevermore? It must be the poor late mayor's son who has so recently replaced him. How novel, I've seen him about town but never talked to him. I do think I will join you, he may need some cheer himself. It tends to follow me, you see. And it is wonderful to meet you miss Fauntine."

He nods his head in welcome to the young girl. Her presence has somehow improved his mood.
He watches as she flits about the garden, and he eases back against the roots of his tree. He was happy to see the sight of her, and encouraged by the fact that her lack of material things didn't drag her down. He wondered, sometimes, if he had too much in the way of the material and not enough in the way of the etherial: satisfaction out of life, that was the goal, and it did not exist in trinkets, knicknacks, money, jewels, or fancy houses.
He watches Fauntine with calm eyes, exploring the details of her face and recalling them from a brief encounter in his memory. He is quiet company with her for a while, and then he breaks his own silence.
"Good evening." He sees how the plants, the trees, the grass beneath her feet seem somehow nourished by her presence and attracted to her. And that's all it takes to draw a deep and sincere smile from him.

"Hello. I do hope we aren't intruding. I was catching bugs out there, but never in here, this place is too special. The gate was open, and the garden seemed so... empty."

"You are certainly free to come and go here, little miss. I'm making it public, for everyone. It is too beautiful to keep away all to myself."
That kind of greed is how people lose the things they cherish, he knows all too well.

Fauntine remains silent, observing Nathanel with her gray somber eyes as she leaned against a tall oak. She was unsure how to respond to him, since she could sense a high level of power within his soul. Finally she swallowed and spoke, her low voice laced heavily with romanion accent. " I was told by the priest of your recent loss, my condolances. I too, have lost a parent, my mother when I was young. I know of your pain. I was also observing your....quarrel with the bodyguard. Tell me, Why did he assault Mr. Note, when he was clearly not a threat to your person. What sort of man is he?"

"That is kind of you. But you should remain guarded. Open invitations can also invite danger." She is not grave as she says this. Indeed, her voice has a purity to it that makes it hard to believe it could ever sound grave.
