Hmm... either with a machine or with aide from something greater... though that usually costs something in return, no? People who are weaker in the area of spells usually ask for help from other people or higher powers as far as I've heard and learned, but it's interesting to think of a machine's help. What would it do? Lower the opponent's power or increase one's own?

Yeah, that's pretty much what I had in mind. Maybe the best way that a machine would be successful would be if it did both things at once. Think about it, if you only enhance the wearer's mental power, it may not be enough to make the user much stronger than a potential victim. You know? I imagine such a device would also be equipped with a scanner so that you can know who is stronger or weaker than you are.

But really, I figured than people from the past had to believe in curses cuz they just didn't know any better. None of them knew about micro organisms so it's only natural that they would misinterpret deaths from such things as curses. 3nodding
