Blood_Miracle How long should we have it? I'm thinking it should be two weeks, one-and-a-half week for chat and the other quarter for giving out prizes. Whatcha think?
We could pull the event longer if members really wanted; we can't move the threads directly back here into the guild though, so to do that we'd have to carry it into a separate thread here in the guild. Which is doable, actually. I generally collect the images posted in the event thread and start posting them into, for instance, seasonal/holiday threads here in PicturePost. Most of the chatting comes back to the Tangent Thread, but it's easy enough to make an actual new thread to carry into.

I'm all for the "flirting contest" but we obviously need a goal.
Hmmm...How about the top 3 people whoever gets flirted with the most gets a prize.
It sounds like a fun idea, so we should hold it multple times. xd
Here's a thought, how about we have a contest to see who can come with the most cracked shoujo-ai pairing. And the top 5 that we come up with can put on a poll where the guild can which one is the most random one. It's a little complicated, but I thought it sound neat. ^_^

The only block we'll hit here is that the guild doesn't have much funding (like seriously, we don't, unless you guys donate to help us--we're pretty broke) so unless we can get enough donations to supply prizes for these contests, we may not be able to give out that many awards. :/

Korius- We'd love any and all input you have. Doesn't matter how psycho it sounds, we've worked some pretty silly ideas into things before. XD *salutes* Donations are a bit of a problem for us right now (srsly, broke), so we'd appreciate anything you can contribute. And uh don't worry, I've been around for a bit but I ain't got a lot of money either...XP

hmm...depends on how many people will join. the more people join, the less the fee.
say you want the prize to be 2,000 gold. if you expect at least ten people to join then make the fee 200g each or 150 if you have some donation money. (this is just an example of course ^.^; wink

this thing is going to be huge o.o... okays! So from what I got we got:
~A flirting contest
~A picture contest
~A fanfic/drawing contest
~Find a word contest
The gifts will be wrapped and we will only give the value price of the item in the market.
I figure we could have the picture contest, fanfic/drawing contest, find a word contest last through out the whole time. However when it comes to the flirting contest I think having it on three times a week would be good... Just so we can start this thread and get peoples attention before starting, thus giving people the same opportunity.
Also I think we can use this dice thing to our advantage. Each person is given a number, and then a person comes up kage, mika, or I will "roll the dice" and that person will get a number and the person who has that number is who they flirt with. Or something like that... just to keep it random but at the same time organized....

The flirting contest could definitely be something we run multiple times (if we have the resources). It should be a fun way to get members to know each other.
I'm personally liking either having a single target that everyone hits (we'll have to figure out selection) or kind of playing a "person above you" style play on it so it's more inclusive.
Dice would be a good way to assign also, but we really have to be careful about that--the odds for getting each person must be exactly the same.
Oh, and because it's a tradition for me, I'm always (always) doing shoujo-ai image posting in the thread. We could also run a contest for that (you can take me out of it, I'm responsible for over 300 of the images in the PicturePost subforum).

But yeah, right now my major concern is funding. If we don't have the resources to create prizes for this, we really can't do all that much.
So far, ideas for prizes have been monthly collectibles (past and current?) and cash shop gifts. Wing suggested wrapping some prizes and only telling people what their approximate marketplace worth was, to make it interesting.
What do you guys think?
