I live in Portland, Oregon and we've got one of the like 4 or 5 Uwajimaya's in the country. It's this awesome Asian Supermarket that has a HUGE bookstore located inside of it called Konoha (I think that that's the name lol) and they have LOTS of Yuri stuffs. Unfortunately I'm new to the worl of Yuri and Yaoi so I don't know what to look for. Any suggestions?

Blood_Miracle BUT, there are TONS upon TONS of Yaoi. Not Shounen-Ai. YAOI. I'm always slightly agitated when I walk in that the only thing even CLOSE to Shoujo-Ai is Venus Versus Virus. That's barely even girl-love! It's inferencing, which really makes it seem like an excuse if someone were to say 'OMG GAY STUFF!' ... Borders sucks. -_- Are you sure? They are usually on the very top shelves in the back. O.o at my borders, at least.

Find the name of the manga you want and ORDER YOUR YAOI/YURI!
I work at Waldens, it being a part of borders, and they can get ahold of it. But because of younger children and what not they tend to keep the yaoi/yuri/porn all little to none.

its a marketing thing. they've been marketing yaoi in the states for years, but the major importing companies only recently began bringing in yuri. You can't find it because there isn't much there to find.

The place were i buy my manga's (Readers) doesnt overly ship in yuri either.
Luckally im pretty good friends with the owner of it, so i can usually ask Beattie to ship in some yuri manga's for me. Also, since Readers is more of a comic book shop then a manga store, he doesnt overly know alot about manga's... except now he knows that "Blu" is a yaoi company, so he wont order it in anymore xD.
You can always look one onemanga though, i dont think they have alot of yuri manga's on there.. but i know they have Kashimashi ~ Girl meets Girl ~ on there, and personally i love that series :3

I actually found one yuri-rific book in Borders. It was covered and plastic and rated M... x3 I kinda wanted it... Okay REALLY wanted it, it looked sweet... But I'm too young, I think. There usually is only subtle yuri manga in the Borders I go to and more yaoi like Loveless.

I know how you feel. I like Shounen ai and Shoujo ai. Just in one section of the shelving, total, there was about... 8. Just in ONE section, there were 8 different shounen ai series. I looked around for Shoujo ai... I found 2 ._. Strawberry Panic (seen it) and First Love Sisters.

My Border's is almost exactly the same, except they have like, book one of Strawberry Panic and I think maybe a oneshot or two. Then, when you're looking for something, there's hardcore yaoi plastered everywhere. Only two of said yaoi books interest me, but I'm too young to buy them sad .

I witnessed a miracle today. The Borders closest to me, which is usually barren of girl-love of any kind, had the first volume of Kannazuki no Miko and the first two (ARE there more available?!) volumes of Strawberry Panic.
I was very much delighted. ^_^

KasurinHime WE NEED MORE YURI!!!! > I agree!! Even if there isn't as many yuri fans as there are yaoi fans, MANY MANY people like yuri...
I just say that if you know of a title you really would like to see, just request it. they'll ship in anything if you request it. Yay for our money, they think.
And nice signature by the way.

Check if you have a Kinokuniya store anywhere near where you live.
They. Have. EVERYTHING.
