Richard coughed. "I didn't know about it at all until my powers emerged; when Anaya spoke of it, I thought she was making it up," he muttered. Anaya punched his arm lightly. She snorted in amused irritation. "What matters is that we're together," she murmured. Scott tilted his head slightly. Do you think the Professor knows all of this? he murmured.

elaise nodded at richard " i don't remember much about my past before coming here. some of it could be because of the mental barriers the professor put in my mind to protect me." she murmered.
jean jumped when she heard what elaise said how does she know about that no one ever told her. she said telepathically looking over at scott as she spoke.

They may be able to sense when others or even they themselves use psychic abilities or psychic sheilds, Scott said thoughfully. Logan had mentioned that a few hours after the Professor had gotten back, he'd asked to see Richard alone. Richard nodded slightly. "I know what you mean; I have psychic barriers holding back my other personality and quite a bit of my powers," he said quietly. Scott twitched at Richard's words. He knew that nobody but the Professor knew what he'd spoken to Richard about other than Richard himself, and from what he'd seen, Richard didn't remember any of it.

elaise nodded at richard looking at him closely for a moment before looking away.
mina looked at richard, anaya and elaise for a while before taking three small pouches from her pocket " i was told to give you these when you were all finally together." she said holding one out to elaise before looking at richard and anaya again.

Richard looked slightly confused. Scott glanced at Elaise, then at Richard. He tilted his head to Jean for a moment. Anaya looked slightly annoyed and bored as she took one pouch, then flicked the other at Richard, who didn't even glance at her as his arm reflexively shot up and caught the pouch.

mina nodded as they took them " open them, what's inside was left with me by your mother before she died." she said.
elaise opened the pouch and frowned slightly as a pendant fell out containing a green gem which seemed to glow slightly as she focused her mind on it. she stumbled as a flash of memory went through her head before looking over at anaya and richard.

Richard did the same, finding a bracelet with a pale blue, almost white, gemstone. It shone faintly as he stared at it. He shrugged slightly, tilting it to one side before glancing at Anaya. She looked confused as to why she got what looked like a black onyx gemstone carved in a thin straight spike, though the crystal was round and easily as thick as her middle and forefingers side-by-side. She twisted it slightly, a deep purple shimmer running through the facets of the crystal.

Angel stared at the gems, saying nothing. She noticed that the gems semed to fit each personality, like the mecklaces she had made for Max and Fang once.

" i don't know your mothers true reason for giving them to you. you'l have to learn that on your own." mina said watching each of them " try channeling some of your powers into them like elaise is doing." she added looking at richard and anaya again.
" i saw memories. of all of us together with mother." elaise said seeing the look of surprise on jeans face she looked away.

Anaya did so. The onyx 'crystal' gained a slight, if dark, glow. She concentrated, pushing just a little energy into it. The glow became a deep purple-blue shimmer before it faded. A faint smile crossed her face. Richard glanced at Angel, then at the bracelet. He had an idea. He focused on Angel's friends. He inhaled with a slight hiss as he saw a blond young woman with silver-white wings and long blond hair; her eyes were deep brown and focused. Is this one of your friends? he murmured to Angel.

mina smiled again " each stone matches you and your powers, elaise has jade." she said " if you channel your powers into the stone it can stop you from having an overload." she looked directly at elaise when she said this.

"Is is possible she can channel the energy from an overload into the stone to attack if she had to?" Richard said quietly. I wonder if we could contact them somehow to let them know where you are and that you're safe, he murmured to Angel. Scott nodded slightly, thoughtful. That would give Elaise a strong offensive measure if she needed it in addition to her formidable defensive skill she already had. Anaya tilted her head to one side, curious. "I wonder just what this stone can do; it looks like onyx to me, but the feel is like crystal of some kind," she murmured.

" yes she could although i have a feeling it will only stay in there for a limited period of time. these gems have never been used before." she said softly taking a necklace from off her stone she showed them the pale pink stone she wore " i use this to help channel my energy so that i can teleport longer distances with more people."
jean guessed what scott was thinking without reading his mind and looked over at him.
" i'm sure you'l find out what each of your stones will help you with in time." she said softly looking at them before looking around " for the time being we have to concentrate on stopping another attack on the mansion by strykers men."

"Is it possible to speak to the one we managed to 'convince' to come inside?" he said. Scott glanced at Jean, thinking that if the man didn't want to speak out loud they might be able to glean information from the man's mind; he didn't like the idea of doing so, but this was his home and had been for a long time. "Don' bother; the guy don't know anything worth tellin'," Logan grumbled, walking in. He rubbed his knuckles as if he'd been punching something or someone. "Stryker hired the goons from the Friends of Humanity, apparently. Probably said they were gonna be doin' mutantkind a favor by attacking or somethin'," he muttered. Richard tilted his head slightly. "That means it'll be a while before Stryker shows up again.. unless he sends in one of his men to 'convince' us to come quietly," he said softly. Doubt that will happen though, he thought. He didn't plan on giving up his freedom. Anaya nodded. True, toting guns is such a pleasant way to convince us to be 'friends', she muttered, rolling her eyes with a low snort.
