Everything but the Fuel lines, Vacuume lines,, and power windows is done. Gettting the belt on wednesday, and working on the windows whenever I can.

Tomorrow is payday, and I have like, two hours to work my a** off and mabye start it.
At the very least It'll make funny noises and mabye sputter a bit. But that should be enough to make me go biggrin instead of sad all the time.
Yeah, I've had a pretty bad bout of Depression lately and it's really hard to get motivated to work on my truck. but hopefully I can weasel my way out of work on sunday and head out of town to my buddy's place.
Otherwise, Yeah. Gonna fill the rad with water the first time to make sure there's no major floods under pressure. I don't think there will be. *Crosses fingers*
As for the power windows: I just need to tap into the rear window's main power, a 30amp fuse because the measly 15s won't cut it. So that's just a matter of cutting up some wires and hacking into it. then, I cut a few holes for the switches in the dash and call it done. bye bye cranking windows.
Uhm, then it's the front driveshaft, then insurance. tons of fun. >>

I'll have pictures of the finished engine tomorrow, when I install the fuel pump and shiney new Edelbrock air cleaner.

i will have to show you my shiney air cleaner that matches my shiney valve covers. soon though i will be getting taller valve covers so i can run bigger rockers. i am going to turn this motor into a roller over the next few weeks since its not pulling up top like i want it to.

Yeah, Valve covers and rockers are my next big purchase. As I already said, I already have roller lifters so that's a bonus.
I'm going to jury rig the pump today to at least get the sucker started. Peektures and video should be coming soon.

Maelthra hates Serpentine belts. Especailly on 5.0L V-8s.
Got the belt, put it on according to the diagram. Except I don't have an air pump. So I tried a different way, it was still too big. So I went back to teh store, it was too small. Then the parts guy gave me 4 different belts and said "Have at." So I did, found the right one, and all is good in the world.
Fuel lines are in. Pump needs to be wired, and then it will start.
I forgot to take pictures, so I'll take some on monday.

Forgot to mention:
Today I worked on a 1994 Chevy 1-ton Long box with a buddy. He just swapped a new motor and trannie in, and was trying to get everything working together.
A Cummins Turbodiesel with the automatic trannie from a '94 Dodge pickup. xd We put the exaust on it today and fired it up, too.
Fourteen (14) feet of Straight 3" diameter tubing makes the ******** sound like a Peterbilt, to top it all off. After putting the front clip back together, and getting the exaust all tied up, we took it for a spin.
First it wouldn't move unless you mashed the gas, solved by filling the trannie with fluid. Then it was going really slowly, which was sovled by Your's truly crawling under it with a pair of vice grips to shift the transfer case out of 4Lo. At the time I left, it wouldn't shift properly, which was because he didn't have a Stepdown cable or something like that, so it wouldn't shift until you hit a certain speed instead of by engine RPMs. But even with a bummed trannie, it still hauled a** when we tested it. And, much to my liking, it kept the Chevy look with a sweet engine.

Yes, it runs. Very well, infact, thought I only had it on for 12 seconds before I had to shut it off. It was too loud, and the neibours down the street called me. gonk
But it idles nice, the fuel pump works well, and I even figured out how to get my power windows to work. biggrin

I'm getting the exaust on my truck built for me on Tuesday. So, I have between now and Monday afternoon to get everything in mostly working order so the guy can drive the truck from the parking lot to the garage to work on it. x_x
Need power steering fluid, safety pin for the pitman arm, and to shove the rest of my exaust in. Then it's a matter of not much left. biggrin Insurance will come when I sell my bikie, hopefully in the next couple days/two weeks.
