The Unicorn hesitates feeling that this might be something she should just face...for the good of the others. As she had not been mentioned by any of the rhymes until now - save her own - it was possible she was actaully hurting the chances of the others!
Uni drew a shape in the air with the pin. Sure enough it seemed to open a type of entryway in the air! Through it she could almost feel safe but she had to help everyone first.
Quick - she gestures to the doorway. Y'all go ahead - I'll stay behind to seek out whatever it is!

"But we do not know where that leads... it could lead us straight to the Queen and we can't just leave someone behind..." Caterpillar was cut off as the JubJub Bird appeared out of the gloom; spreading its impressive wingspan of tattered feathers and screeching at all of them with its long beak. "Oh my, I never was keen on birds..." He moved behind Adam and looked to Amelia. "Perhaps we should try the portal..."

"Okay, I putting my money on ostrich stomp-stomp bird." Katty said and rushed towards the door with no hesitation. "Chop, chop people! We not gettin' any younger!" She added.

The Unicorn had faced her own immortal "equal" even before the one that had sent all the others into the sea. The Harpy which had been the chosen death for the witch of the midnight illusion show... No she must not think of that now. Only to save the others. If there would be another time for them to meet - it would be. But for now it would be up to the Unicorn to give the others that time which was now! Here birdy-birdy... She sings in an almost taunting way. You want to play with me?!

Mallymkun Dormouse Mally laughed as the others began entering the portal, "You don't think I'm going to miss out on all the fun do you?" She turned to smile at Uni. She was being very brave, willing to risk her life to save a bunch of Wonderlanders she barley knew. And no matter how dangerous the act was, she wasn't about to be left out of it, " I think you could use some help, madam."She quickly bowed to her before making her way to a tree behind the bird. Uni continued to taunt it as she shuffled up the tree, kneeling on a branch. Mally called out to her, " Hey, bring it over here!" She had something planned, a way to get rid of the obnoxious bird.

Katty backed away from the portal. Nothing was truly evil. Nothing really deserved to be killed. "Wait! Don't hurt it!" She cried to Mally. "It han't done anythin to us!"

::Uni looks to Katty and Mally, far be it for her to inflict harm on another magical creature. Still she had to be on her toes..all four of them -::
::Changing into her other state she prances around as though escaped from a merry-go-round. Maybe confusion would allow them to see what kind of mindest the beasty-birdy was like::

"Aw, come on... just one JubJub bird?" , Mally pleaded. She'd hate to dissapoint Katty, but by the way things looked it was if she hadn't a choice. It was an evil creature, there was no doubt by the stories and poems, it would only do them harm.
Mally jumped onto the back of the bird, scrambling onto it's head. While it struggled to knock her off, she held on by the dark feathers of it's neck to prevent losing her balance and falling. She pulled out her sword, lightly poking at it's skin, " Please?"

Hold tight, Mally! She keeps pacing around in half-circles away from the porthole, either exhausting the jubjub bird; if not giving extra time to see what kind of creature it *really* was!

"No! Not just one!" Katty said finally, like a mother scolding a child for having to many cookies. "Hurting people is wrong, and birds are people too. I'll... I'll... I'll hold my breath until you say you won't hurt it." She gasped in a mouthful of air and her cheeks swelled up like balloons. She taped her foot impatiently.

Mally frowned at the fact that even though this creature was evil and about to harm them, she wasn't allowed to kill it. She shoved her sword back in it's holder in a pout. She didn't want Katty to kill herself by holding her breath, " You can breath Katty!" She angrily shouted to her.
She attempted to jump off the bird in a hurry, as she did so, the bird started to scream. It fanned it's wings hard enough to send waves of wind that could throw anything to the ground. Mally screamed before falling off onto the dark ground. She cursed in anger at her injured arm, " Damn bird!" She reached for her sword as she screamed.

Glad for the distraction Mally was able to provide, Uni charges between her and the JubJub bird.
She takes a quick look back to insure the dormouse was a safe distance away before giving the thing an opposite expression.
Go now...says the Unicorn in a cold as a wet snow voice. Or I'll hurt you at least ten times more then you'd want to do to them!
She knew, unfortunatly this could be true, dead or alive but hopefully the bird wasn't going to go that far. Plus once it was gone, she could use that same power to help Mally.
