"Oh, I'm sorry," Ben replied, "I'm not a guard. I'm General Ben Brown in the Earth Kingdom Army." Seeing the man's panicked look, Ben asked, "Well, I'm actually on my way to go to the finest restaurant in the Earth Kingdom. It's up in the upper ring, Would you and your family like accompany me?"

Yue Yao'an chuckled as if this were a fine joke. He was barely even an adult, and not yet married. Vera and Hikaru did seem like family to him, but they were actually friends who had been brought together by the need to survive.
"If I were married I wouldn't be in distress on getting my breakfast." A certain words rang in his mind. "Did you say general? Oh forgive me for my rude manners, I haven't met a superior for several years. I'm Yao'an, a traveler from afar." He bowed respectfully to the man.

"Of course, General." Yue nodded and followed the Earth Kingdomer to where the restaurant is. He dared not bring up the question of money, although he didn't really mind if he payed for it. However, he was rather broke, as well as the rest of his crew. He had lived under the sky ever since he became a bounty hunter, and was very much used to it. Money had no place in the wild, but here in the city it was different.

"I'm sorry, where did you say you were from?" Ben Inquired. He heard the name Yao'an but knew, that it couldn't be who he thought it had been.

Yue Yao'an raised his eyebrow, as if he was confused by the question. He wasn't. He worried if he had revealed himself as too suspiciously Fire Nation, or if he somehow met this person before.
"I am from the Northwestern Earth Kingdom." It was best to tell the truth, even if it was rather twisted.

"Oh. Because I had a Fire Nation Friend named Yao'an who I bet once. I won the bet and made him name his first born son Yao'an just like him, and his second born son Ben, like me. It would have just been a great coincidence." Ben Said.

Yue raised an eyebrow. "That must be a long time ago, as Kato's War has divided the two countries. I myself had friends from both sides of the conflict; Earth Kingdom and Fire Nation." He glanced at the restaurant, then back at Ben. "Yao'an is a very popular name among those in war-torn areas, or so I heard."

"It was a long time ago. Nearly twenty-five years ago. He was my age and we met while I was studying abroad in the Fire Nation." Ben Stopped and looked at the red morning sky deep in recollection.

Yue Yao'an nodded, hoping to change the subject to something more important than the past-- the present. "So where is this restaurant? And is it cheap?" He didn't have much to spend. Not to mention it was generally bad to walk to a restaurant across town on an empty stomach.

Vera sighed deeply, noticing the time of day as shelooked around her surroundings. Must have dozen off.. She thought scratching her head then jumped off the roof and into her/their apartment. She peered over to see Yue had already left, and was almost curious as to why- yet he also had his own life. Hikaru laid in bed still, so she fixed up a small breakfast for the girl. Her spirits, however, were off doing their morning rituals. Only the bundle she brought from last night sat on her mat softly snoring away.
"Still here I see..? Then I suppose you'll need a new form, yes?" She asked the bundle, lifting the blanket ever so slightly. The spirit within the bundle merely nodded, unseen by those without such sight needed to see others like the spirit. It was then Vera took out her tools and began to sculpt an animal fit for the new spirit that would join her travels.

"Aah, of course. Earning a promotion is not a fun experience." Yue Yao'an was not easily dismayed by blood, gore, and death, as he himself had lived a rather wild life since the Earth Kingdom invaded the Fire Nation Colonies. He nodded, as if understanding, and gestured. "Lead the way, please."
