Adam and Amelia Adam frowned. First his sister, now the Oracle as well. He pushed through behind them trying to keep up.
Amelia could feel the power as they entered the clearing but she didn't have time to stop. The overwhelming urge to keep going was all that pressed against her.

Caterpillar picked up Katty; trying to calm her. He then appoached the grove beyond the trees.
The grove had a different aura to it, it was dark but with a slight glow; plants grew over ancient engravings around the grove... in the center was a pedestal and behind it a sinisiter statue of the Jabberwock; its wings were held around the pedestal. But on top of this pedistal was a sword; it was blue, ornate and shimmered in the darkness; on the hilt was a carving of the Jabberwock... Caterpillar found this slightly odd.
The sword was enticing; it promised so much power and victory.... but Caterpillar knew not all was what it seemed. "The Vorpal Sword; it truely is tainted by something," He said and moved closer to it; trying to ignore the threatening statue of the Jabberwock. "It can only be used for evil at the moment... but... why?" He asked himself; deciding to use his powers to get some answers. Caterpillar put Katty onto the ground and focused, hoping Adam would be able to hold Amelia back from whatever was calling her.
Visions of the blade... of the original wielder... of the creature. It was frightening, vicious and powerful... but... it was not evil?

Katty forgot the Unicorn's question and sat quietly and gaped at the sword from under her hat. "Is... beautiful." She squeaked simply, not picking up the sinister aura that the Caterpillar did. The gleaming blue reflection in her all ready blue eyes could do no wrong in her mind. It wasn't tainted, or evil, or menacing. It was something from another world, and Katty longed to touch it, yet stayed rooted to her spot.

Now nearby such an object, the Unicorn felt foolish for her doubts. It commanded a type of respect a need to protect the innocent and fight for the right of...where had she heard that before? Anyway, she looked to the caterpillar and trying not to look too suspicious, bearly breathes as she whispers to him. I have the pen from the house...I'm not sure how - but I think somehow it can help you. Uni didn't say "us" only since she believed if someone was to be sacrificed for the "good" of everyone - it'd be her! It was sort of like the last hired, first fired sort of thing. Besides - she thought somewhat sadly. Its not like I'd would be missed -- if anything *happened*

"Then keep it safe, and remain alert; things arn't what they seem... but as for now... I must understand more..." Caterpillar said strangely and again his eyes changed to a darker blue.
"The monster of darkness and flame, Resides trapped within the sword. Was it really to blame? It waits for the one of whom it can be restored.
But the dragon fears the wielder of the blade, For its foe the ancient sword is, If it wasn't for the conflict, it would have stayed, In Tulgey Wood; but victory was not his.
The creature from legends old, It was slain by the sword as told. But still it... continues to hold, On to emotions long turned cold."
Caterpillar just stood before the blade; there was a sadness here. It was not the sword that called to Amelia... no, the sword instead called to everyone else... but the Jabberwock called to Amelia. The sword was corrupted.

Mallymkun Dormouse Mally stared in Ah at the glowing sword. It felt almost as if it was pulling to her, just like Amelia. The glow was reaching to her, for a moment, she wondered if everyone else felt the same strong attraction. Whether it was the Sword or something else, something wanted her to come closer," So, the big evil dragon thing is in the sword?" She rolled her eyes. Suddenly, they began to glow a dark purple for a moment. They glowed, in the same almost sinister way of the sword but in purple. Her eyes began changing to a lighter shade before turning back to it's normal state as her trance ended.
Mally took a step further tword the sword with her arm extended to touch it. Her mind still was not all there as she spoke, " Maybe I could just, touch it." Whatever it was was pulling her closer, it was getting it's way.The Rabbit began to laugh as the group questioned the sword. It turned to more of a quiet cackle as he spoke to himself, what fools.

The Rabbit's words, though whispered, seemed to break Katty from her trance for just a moment. "No, Mally! Don't!" She wailed and tried to drag her backwards by the hem of her pants. When it was made clear that either her teeth would rip out of her head or the hem out of the pants before it would stop Mally, She ran in front of her and held up her right paw with claws unsheathed. Katty stared at Mally with pleading eyes in a silent way that said *Please don't make me use these.*

"No do not touch it!" Caterpillar warned, but Mally and Katty were already very close to the sword. A darkness seemed to surround them for a moment, and then some type of magical force pushed them both away from the blade.
"Do not touch the corrupted one!" A dark mist swirled around the blade and rose up, taking the form of the Jabberwock. The creature was huge; it looked like something out of a nightmare. Its wings enclosed the blade so that none of them could get to it without going through the Jabberwock first. The sword itself seemed to give out an angry aura now that the Jabberwock had appeared.
Caterpillar took a step back. "Slain over a thousend years ago; dragon of old... you still remain... bound to the sword; are you the one that tainted it?" He asked, quite afraid of this creature; though he would not admit it.
"Think what you will," The Jabberwock replied and took a closer look at Caterpillar... who stood his ground. "The Oracle; always a Lepidopteran. Secretive and obscure... prophecies that brought you to me. Caterpillar or Butterfly; form changer, creature of poem and verse. I know you." It looked at all of them again. "Creatures of the warring lands; I do not hold the power of prophecy as the Lepidopteran does; but I know all who enter Tulgey Wood, for it is connected to me," It moved its face closer to them all, addressing them one by one.
"Rabbit; one who knows the forbiddon world. Lagomorphs... untrustworthy... what time is it? Dormouse; here to fight? Interested in the sword? Do not trust yourself. Katty; little cat that knows not what she is apart of. But do you know more than you say? Do you like being here? Unicorn; here on a whim. True and honest, but lost. You can regret? Unlike the others perhaps. Cheshire Cat; master of tricks... unknown to most. Riddles and claws. Crescent moon grin. What do you hide? Do you like the Vorpal one? Adam; Hatter.... Mad Hatter. You want the sword. Revenge? Do you want to slay? Or do you want to protect?" The Jabberwock's firey gaze then turned to Amelia; it almost grinned... seeming very eerie. "Gentle soul; power incomplete. You must take the sword before the wielder is decided. I have been calling you... from the darkness. I know you too; I have been watching. Trapped within the blade after being slain I was; the sword was used for evil... it must be untainted... until then... I must reside."
"The Jabberwock is not complete... it is but a shadow," Caterpillar looked at Amelia. "And the it expects you to restore it. Only then will the sword be untainted." ((OOC: Wow that was a long post... guess its up to you guys whether you want to trust the Jabberwock or not, eh? XD ))

"I toll you not to touch it." Katty mewed in a voice that was laced with panic and despair. She had no idea what the jabberwock meant by "what you are apart of" but she knew all too well what he meant by "knowing more than you let on." But strangely, the feeling of terror began to ebb. Dragons were very much like kittens in a way... claws, teeth, hunters... even if the only thing this kitten hunted was fruit. She felt like a child being scolded by her mother. Katty looked at the ground where she traced shapes and swallowed. "I... I guess I might know a li'l teensy bit of not umportant im-fo-may-shun that I not toll anybody yet." She admitted.

The Unicorn was shaken from what had been said. True - unlike the other Unicorns she knew what it was like to regret. But now she must stand among those who had to fight for what they had to believe in - it wasn't purely selfish anymore. But the Jabberwock had mentioned time! Indeed - what time was it? Uni traced a rectangle shape in the air. If only there was a door for them to escape from but where would it escape to? Then looks to her other hand with the pen, would this help??

Katty wondered why the Unicorn had brought the pen any way, and why she was staring at it like it was a miracle. She also seemed disturbed by her own "description" that the Jabberwock had provided. What did he mean by "time to regret" ? *And he has the nerve to say dat Sir talks in riddles.* She thought.

H O R S E S are L O V E Katty *And he has the nerve to say dat Sir talks in riddles.* She thought. Talking in riddles also hopes someone else might be able to solve them,,,Looks over to Katty, concerned as she has been so "quiet" until then. Are you all right little one? Not knowing that the kitten had reflected on a status she herself was all too familar with. As being the only Unicorn that could regret - as much as having done a LOT of things MOST unicorns had not. But as mentioned before, she would not know that this was one of the things on the kittens mind.

Mallymkun Dormouse Mally crossed her arms in a pout, stomping her foot on the ground. Do not trust yourself? Who does this 'spooky little dragon' think he is anyways? He wasn't even the right size for a menacing creature.
Mally snapped back to Amelia. This 'Jabberwocky', while not as big and creepy as told, is known to be an evil creature. He could be only half as dangerous in his ghostly form than what he could be if she was to help him, " Amelia, Don't trust him! Remember the poem!? There must have been a reason he was slain in the first place!"If the Queen is going to come in... now would be a good time? Maybe?

"Dere are lossa bad poems about cats. That don't mean we bad. Jes cuz cat rhymes with fat, and flat.. and lazy. " Katty mewed. The Jabberwock was only giving advice, what was the harm in that? It was there choice weather or not to follow it.

"Of course there was a reason," The Jabberwock snarled. "The royals of old wanted a reason to slay me; so they invented one... the wielder was not to blaim... a puppet; and now the Vorpal one is tainted. It calls to all of you... and others. This child of Wonderland has the power to untaint it; but she knows not how to use it yet."
Caterpillar turned away; he could sense much at the moment but the Jabberwock's power could be masking many things. "Then Amelia must take the Vorpal Sword before the wielder is decided... otherwise..."
"The Queen will be able to use it; this is not what any of you want. But the girl must be wary; the Vorpal Sword does not want her power near it," The Jabberwock replied; they did not trust him... he did not trust them.
"Beware the Jabberwock..." Caterpillar whispered to himself; he did not know whether to trust the dragon. ((OOC: We'll let Kwarren decide on that one. ^_^ ))
