I'm looking at about $250 for the the ignition system. I'm probably going to go with a MSD ignition, just because that's what I can find that will work easily.
I can't find a Mallory Distributor for the 302 though. That is pissing me off, because I prefer Mallory to MSD. But I'll take what I can get.

Ooooh, Kay!
I found a Holly intake for like, $100 and it's from a 351. It'll do fine.
I won't be able to afford the MSD ignition for about three weeks, because my uncle wants to make sure I don't hack up any of the wiring when I take the F/I stuff out to sell to my buddy.
I have to make a run to the local salvage yard to find pullies for the crank and waterpump, along with a fan and larger rad mounts.
All in all, it'll be about a month before I have it running again. then I have a months insurance left, and that pisses me off.

The 302 is out of the doner, even though it clawed it's way out kicking and screaming.
I need to get a Sawzall to hack out the exaust pipe, then the engine will be completely out and I can swap out the flywheel and hopefully get the clutch on. once that is done, I'll try to get it into My bronco, and worry about pullies and the intake later.

Sawzall + Demolition blade = three minutes of fun and the exaust pipe cut into 8 pieces.
The Flywheel won't swap, I need to get the whole ignition system, and I think I need to find a bearing that sits on the end of the crankshaft and holds the input shaft for the trannie.
That's if I ever find a flywheel and clutch. >.<

W00TZORZ!
Tax returns ROCK. I got $166 in the mail today, and I'll have $200 on thursday. Then I'll buy the clutch and flywheel, throw it on, torque everything down, and toss it in my truck. Next payday, I'll get the ignition crap and finally, about the 23rd of this month, I'll get the carb. Life is good.

a very cheap yet good alternative to mallory or msd is accel. you can get an accel dist. for reasonable price and accel lifetime replacement performance wires are about 30 bucks for the whole set in several different colors mrgreen

Hmm. I'll have to look into some Accel stuff. Thats where I was going to get the spark plug wires from. just because that's why the parts shop has.

Got the clutch, going to get a resurfaced flywheel in a half hour or so. I'll put that on the engine after work tomorrow, then try and get it into the truck at least.
I should prolly drop the driveshaft and have someone to wiggle the transmission to get the clutch in, eh?

Got the wrong clutch from The parts shop, so I got the new one today. I'll try to get everything done tomorrow, and start getting the engine in.

It's in, Transmission is hooked up. I'm going to talk to a guy about the intake, which is mine but is at his place (I dunno why. O.o) I need to wait for my paycheck before I get the distributor. I have no idea when I'll get a carb, but the box is getting removed on friday and taken away by it's buyer. As soon as that happens, I'll remove the Fuel Injection stuff and that will be sold to another guy. Then I'll have a couple hundred in my hand, and I can afford the clutch and anything else I need to find. Like pullys and such.
so yeah. Expect more progressive updates now. As soon as I have cash. >..>
