ZE NETVERK FTW. scream

I imagine she'd probably help Harry fight Death Eaters or something along with Neville, Ginny, Ron, and Hermione. Seeing as they did just that in the last two books. -shrug-

Old Green Day=New Green Day

And yeah, I'll have to find him and screen save him, cause i'm almost positive I saw him once.

I remember watching one and going "OMG PEEEEVES!!!1!!!1!1"
How are old Green Day and new Green Day alike? The lyrics are completely different. gonk

Back on topic, I could've sworn I saw Peeves in (I think) the 1st movie.

They're the same genre, have the same sound, just better produced. And yeah, Billie Joe's lyrics have matured and gotten slightly more intelligent. But lyrics don't really have much to do with the musical aspect, and the style is still pretty much the same, even though the subject matter might have changed.

And yeah, it was only a brief scene, like him flying through the great hall and the students were all "ARGHHH PEEVES" scream

But It wasnt the bloody baron, cause i saw him as well. @_@

Hmm...Green Day matured past songs about drugs. 4laugh I think that's a good thing, personally. First album: All cheesy lyrics about girls, teen angst, school sucking, "I wanna be alone," growing up, etc. Most recent album: Deals with issues of the media, introspection, death, love, etc.

Actually, their first and last albums are the most similar lyrically, now that I think about it. 'Cause American Idiot is a concept album, and it's from a teen's perspective of the world. American Idiot's lyrics are just less...stupid. They're more poetic and have WAY better flow with the songs, because they've polished their songwriting so much in the past 15 years.

I Want To Be Alone lyrics < Letterbomb lyrics

Sound-wise, they're similar...only they have more different instruments and somewhat more complex parts in most songs. And the obvious better production quality.

So...let's compare Kerplunk and Warning, then.

Kerplunk's lyrics...generally well-written but still cheesy in concepts. Warning has a nice variety of concepts.

Android, while a cheesy concept, I think is well-written. Fashion Victim is a fresh concept, AND well-written. surprised

Personally, I'll take songs by 30-year olds over songs from teenagers. 3nodding I may not be able to relate as well, but...eh. It's refreshing. If I want cheesy lyrics like that, I'll go listen to Good Charlotte.

I'd grown up listening to Green Day on the radio. I didn't get into them until Warning. I think there's probably a reason for that. (Well, besides that I didn't care about music much. xd )

Just my 2 cents. I just hate when people say the old stuff is "better." If cheesy, cliché, and simple is "better"...sure. I mean, I love the old stuff, but I love the new stuff too. Really, Warning is my favorite...Insomniac is my second favorite...Nimrod is their best, in my opinion...American Idiot close behind. Those are their last four albums. (Excluding Shenanigans which is really just a random compilation.) Their first three albums were good, yeah, but they get better with time for me. (Though...I have been listening to Kerplunk the most lately.)

I...am going to shut up now. sweatdrop

Yeah, I don't have anything Harry Potter-related to say at the moment. sweatdrop

Since you're all off topic, and on the topic of Green Day, lookit them in The Simpsons Movie.

Go see the movie to watch them sink into a large body of water with their stage.
