Bade sighed in relief as Noah shut the men out of the door. "How much time left?" he asked the girl who was standing there and staring forward.

"Twenty seconds remaining until pilot lock override," she replied.

"This thing needs to hurry up," Bade stated impatiently as he looked at the door. He could hear more and more voices.

"Hatch door opening in ten seconds. Override complete in five seconds."

"That doesn't add up...," he said as he ran over to the door's control panel and began to put in the lock code over and over to delay the door's opening.

"Override complete, hatch door open failed. Ready for final steps of activation," the girl said.

"There's more?" he said impatiently as he ran over to the girl and looked down to her. "What's left?"

"There is no registered captain for this vessel. Lift-off cannot be complete without the consent of a registered captain."

"I am this vessel's new Captain. Akio 'Bade' Armand."

The girl would point her finger at Bade and touch her fingertip to his chest. In seconds, a light surge of white electric energy could be seen enveloping his body. "Registering..."

Bade felt relieved as this strange energy went around him. It made him feel good, like he was in heaven.

"...register complete. Do you wish to name this vessel?"

Bade looked over to the door which was being hacked to open again. "I'll do that later. Just take off!!"

"Lift off ready," the girl said as she took her finger off of his chest and sat against the wall, shutting down.

"Right. Noah, we're ready to go...,' he trailed off as he hopped into the pilot's seat. "...so strap in tight."

Project Genesis' hatch locked up tight, unable to be opened during take-off. It let out steam from its ports and began activating the engines.

Meanwhile, the captain of the Dark Prince grumbled. "We can't destroy Project Genesis and there doesn't seem to be a way to stop them without doing so...so we'll just wait until they land. Everyone get to your fighters and send out a couple of recons. They are going to use remote to open the hangar doors and anyone standing here will get sucked out into space."

Genesis was off of the ground and moving very slowly towards the hangar doors as they opened. Once open, Bade turned up the engines and took off out of Dark Prince. "We've got company. Noah I need you to get to the laser turrets. This thing doesn't have any other weapons." He flew in the direction of Eris.

With Noah on the guns and Bade at the 'wheel', Project Genesis was making its way towards Eris. They were able to hold back the enemy forces until a sudden rush of many more ships began to come. "This isn't looking good. This ship doesn't seem to have any other weapons besides those turrets. What I wouldn't give for some missles right about now...,"

Just then, he heard Noah say that back up was coming. "Call out the back up. If I can just get about ten minutes, I can activate the back-up engines and get us out of here."

On the Prince, the captain was afraid, but angered. "We will never catch them in this rig. The Prince was built for stealth and capacity, not speed."

The captain would hear a question over his radio from the cockpit and swiftly reply. "They are headed towards Eris. We need to get a tracker on that ship. Otherwise they will get into Eris and the military won't be able to get to them without starting a war with the scum that hangs out there."

While the diversion started, Bade steered Genesis away from their pursuers. "These engines are good, but really old. Looks like no-one has tried to take this thing anywhere near its limits in decades." Normally, a ship could use its Turbo Drive quickly, but this one had to warm up its cold engines.

Meanwhile, the Prince's forces were only putting on a show to buy enough time for them to ready the tracker to get on Genesis. Finally, two of them were sent. One was shot on the outer hull and the other was placed inside of its systems.

Three minutes later, Bade hit the Turbo Drive and the engines start to kick up. Soon, they took off away from the Prince and were quickly headed into Eris' Sector.
