Running swiftly, Ryuuou chased the magic user through the forest. He finally caught up to the magic user, careful not to hit any trees. Ryuuou grabbed for the magic user's coat, missing the first time, and almost losing balance. Just a few more inches... Ryuuou thought. He reached for the magic user again, but just as he had caught the man, a volley of cannonballs came through the sky, shakingthe earth beneath Ryuuou, causing him to lose footing. sharp pains came from all around Ryuuou, as he tumbled through the forest underbrush.

When Ryuuou finally regained footing, he realized that the magic user got away. With deep humiliation, he ran back to the camp as fast as his injured legs would take him. He knew that with the magic user still alive, his reputation would probably be horribly destroyed. all the hard work to get this far, all the turmoil he went through, all for naught. The most I can do nowis regroup and attack with the other soldiers, hopefully causing enough damage to keep my champion status.

Tom looked around to the forest, and saw the necronytr running through the copse of trees, many many more undead behind. as they lined up more, tom saw he had close to seven hundred more soldiers... bringing his total to 890.
He raised his fist.
"Close the last tunnels... blow the walls from the ground!!''
There was a slight *pop* as the walls descended about a foot and slanted slighty, but other than that, no real damage. Tom was fed up with this.
" all men, charge!!"
[Rol 3d100s, I'll roll the same, whoever has the highest total wins control of the walls. whoever loses loses half their men.]

The captain of Vinnad's milita was the first to fall. The undead seemed to pour over the walls, and soon overtook the walled holdings. Each of the cannons blew their fiery balls of smoke and powder, aiming to cleave apart the attacking and quite invincible army. Sanderfall's men held, though, and remained fighting with their opponents.
Karthan, Prince of Sanderfall, went with the mass of men that were fighting with the horde of disfigured soldiers. With his gleaming God-Steel he tried to hack and slash through his opponent's undead flesh.

Tom was laughing heartily as he cleaved his twentieth slain man in twain. in the midst of the attacking, he saw one figure distinguish himself from the others, slaying many of his with a glimmering blade that seemed to get no resistance from flesh or bone. Tom hopped off his horse and strode to the man, hacking a manling or two apart on the way.
"Oy! YOU! Manling!" He cried as he lopped off the head of a random troop.
"You and me, right 'ere, right now! You will DIE beneath my sword, manling!!"
(Leader battle- roll D20, to be victiorious must beat the other by at least three. otherwise, it's a draw, and roll again..)

As Ryuuou jumped up and cut his fourth undead victim, he realized this might not end well. He noticed the prince fighting what he suspected was Tom, giving him a ghastly chill. It is just as Noyad had said; Tom the Blade is not human, he thought to himself. Lets hope that it doesnt mean his strength isnt human.
The Fifth opponent slid in half, and as he looked at his completely clean sword, he realised with a sorrowful sense that the enemy had no blood. I'm fighting nothing. These are nothing but puppets, the lives already long gone, the blood of the soul gone with it. Necromancy was never one of Ryuou's favorites, but now it was the worst thing he could imagine. He hated to think that what he was fighting didnt have the will to live and fight, the thing that drives all living things.

".." Prince Karthan remained silent for a moment. 'His usage of the word 'manling' shows that he is not a man, or at least is hinting at it.' Twisting both of his blades into a defencive stance he looked on at his new opponent. Just like the others he had cleaved through earlier.. Ragged, strained, likable to a corpse.. After a moment he saw what he needed to do.
By the way his opponent moved it most likely meant that he was a leader, or some sort of captain, of the opposing army. If, by chance, the prince could defeat this monster the spell on these attacking corpses would fall back. Maybe. "By Angstrom, and my father the king-- I will slay you, Monster! Engaurd!" Leaping forward with both of his swords he attacked. Swishing his blades to and fro he slashed a small path toward Tom, and his eyes laid past his god-steel to land on his opponent's body. "I will slay you in the name of Sanderfall and its people!"

That caught Tom by surprise. He laughed crazily and grabbed the sword lodged in his belly. "Mansteel cant hurt what is already d--" He stopped speaking.
the strangest feeling came over him. it was one he had not felt in a long time...
pain.
He looked at the hand that had grasped the blade, seeing it slowly crumble away to dust. he knew the same thing must be happening to his abdomen, too.
"No... no, no, NO!!! I was... destined for greatness... this cannot... will not happen!!" He cried as he wrenched the blade from his gut. He cared not that his hands were like they were torches, and that his body was being consumed, too.. he cared not that the other deads like him were doing the same. all he knew now, all he could think of...
I must cause this manling pain...
He lashed out with a skeletal hand, putting all force he had into it. though there was nearly nothing left, He cut the commander deeply across the brow and down to the chin, gauging deeply and barely missing the eye. that scar would remain with him forever, as the last testament to Tom the Blade, and his attempt at conquering Vinnad.
the necromancer had been caught by the flames and consumed with Tom's final thrust, and now lay dead.
the siege was broken.
Vinnad was safe.

Still Fighting the numerous bandits, Ryuuou had finally noticed all of them, all at once, had fallen to the ground, and crumbled to dust. taking a moment to gauge what had just happened. "The town of Vinnad has been Won! Victory! Long live Sanderfall!" Ryuuou shouted at the top of his voice, creating a reverberating uproar from the soldiers, elated and surprised they had made it out alive. Making his way through the crowd to congratulate the Prince on their accomplishment, when Ryuuou saw the deep gash on the prince's face from Tom the Blade, blood still dripping from the wound. "Sire, do you need medical assisstance?" Ryuuou said, calling up a medic from the field.

Hidomio and Kakazan entered Vinnad to see Ryuuou slaying many bandits. Kakazan decided to help Ryuuou out, so he went charging at a few of the bandits.

Kakazan charged into the fray, killing two bandits in his charge. He swung his broadsword around, lopping the heads off of few others, and then stabbed one bandit straight through. A bandit with a black bandana came behind him and hit him on the head with a blackjack, and Kakazan fell over, stunned. Panting heavily, Kakazan drew his dagger and threw it at the bandit, stabbing him through the neck. He recovered his blade and cleaned it. There were still many bandits left, and he went at them full hearted. Cleaving swords, bashing skulls, Kakazan was an adrenaline pumped tank.

As Ryuuou was tending to his prince's wounds, he finished bandaging up his head. He decided that he was needed elsewhere so he left the prince alone to talk with the two newcomers. Kakazan approached the prince, bowing at his obvious royalty. Hido did the same. Kakazan then said, "Sire, what went on here? for what reason have you fought with these bandits?"

"Jeez, It looks like they almost took over!" Himodio said, examining one of the not-completely dissolved bandit-skeltons. "But we won it back, and we can keep another city," she said mostly to herself, still interested in the bandits.

((My computer has been iffy for the past week. It's now up again. heart ))
The prince pulled backwards from the necromancer's fierce slash. He dodged the blow for the most part, though. Yet moving out of the way of his foe's attack.. He was still struck by the monster's terrifyingly destructive claws. A mighty gash was created on his face and a large spurt of blood spat out at the decomposing pile that once was Tom.
Karthan fell to the ground and dropped his swords. His hands went to his face and pressed against the blood that flowed from his new wound. "********!" he yelled as the pain became onto his senses. After a moment, though, a man came over and offered aid. Then another came to give it. After being tended to the young prince stood up to look at the smoldering corpses that had been attacking Vinnad over the past few days.
"..." He remained silent as he peered by the bandages to view the amount of dead on the field.
