I voted for Badnarik, if anyone cares.

Wil Wheaton
Apparently, my country holds a fundamentally different set of values than I thought we did, and that scares the s**t out of me. I still believe that Bush is bad for America, and though I'm virtually certain that the next four years will be an absolute disaster. Not just because we have gotten four more years of the Bush agenda, but because this election has been an enthusiastic endorsement of that agenda.

I hoped I would wake up this morning to the good news that our long national nightmare was over.

It's not over.

It's just beginning.

Sadly, I can't leave just yet. I have unfinished business to take care of that will last me about another two years. Still, if it gets any worse here in those two years, I'll probably be up in Vancouver around this time in 2006. Damn, this is depressing. Goodbye freedom of choice. Goodbye civil liberties. Goodbye freedom of religion. Goodbye equal rights for homosexuals. Goodbye respect.

Where's John Wilkes Booth, Lee Harvey Oswald, or Charles Guiteau when you need them?

I agree with BType mostly, espescially about the softwood lumber as it affects my family's income. Since companies don't want to export to the states, they flood the market here, cutting into where the little mills used to sell.

American dollar going down does not directly mean that the Canadian is going up. It's all relative anyways.

Winston Churchill said that "A young man who is not liberal has no heart; An older man who is not conservative has no brain."

Honestly, I think the only intelligent choice in this election was "anyone but Kerry." I will take a calculating liar over a compulsive liar any day of the week.

There are presidents who do great things, and there are presidents who fill space. Despite 9/11, Bush is a space filler. 2008 will likely bring something special.

I don't vote in polls on Gaia. I feel my posts will convey my messages more than a poll result on Gaia, but that's just a misc. personal issue thing.

And when Kerry withdrew, I applauded him. In my opinion, it was etremely nobel of him to spare the country another 2000 indecision, and to spare the country an expensive investigation.
