Maybe they start out with different starting stats, but thats just what I think.

i thnk they start out the same...but maybe its something where when u use alot of one skill, it raises it when u grow a level, or it my be different section id's that do it...

Character base stats, max stats, and stat growth are determined by specific class. Any stats inbetween are determined by the mag's stats.

Um k so do you think that the way the mag was raised could affect your groth rates....cause our growth has been different though we're all the same class.....and in my case I can't figure out why I got so much evade for so long.

evasion is part luck too (not the luck stat). and mags do not affect growth rates...it just boosts stats according to its stats. each class has a predetermined growth rate and it is never altered, whether you character fights with blades, guns, or magic. the only exception to this rule...although is all still specualtion...are the levels inbetween levels at intervals of 5. i have a feeling that those are randomized...but they level off at every five levels. so in other words...two HUmars may have atp stats at 43 of 212 and 214, but by level 45, they have base atp of 220.

in regards to you and ur friend having different growth rates, it depends on level. HUmars don't gain 7 atp EVERY level. but compare stats at the same level, un-equipping everything and you'll see that stats should be equal, unless stat boosters were used

in other words...each class has a preset growth rate and can never be altered.

correct...other words....like taking 2 different roads and meeting up every five miles (levels)

The only possible variance of 2 characters of the same class at the same level with absolutely NO equipment can only be caused by how many and which materials they've used. Growth rate stays the same though. It's not the exact same number per level though.

So it just seems like they vary then.....ok. Makes sense.

At the moment I have two memory cards with seven characters. My strongest is a force, but for the most part I have every andriod chacter except the Hucastel. Mostly because I'm to lazy to find magic for everyone. I have three rangers, three hunters, one force. I don't really specallize in one chacter or another, I just use what I thing would be fun.

Still, do Tech weaknesses change online? I noticed it takes more to put things down in Multi-player mode, but a total change for online play... that's odd.

Do the just get stronger or are the completely diffrent?

Well, I have to say that I have tryed ever class and the best one for me is the HUnewearl. I play her all the time and I got some good tactics with her.

What I do is if I have Daggers, I do just a normal attack, then I charge it up, and if I have time, then I do the thrid attack, but not a charge, gives them time to hit you. I only do that if the enemy I am fighting is a slow attacker.

For enemies that attack long range and you like to fight short range, like me, then I attack from the back. Say that you are fighting a Hildebear, then when I am fighting alone, then I run around it and cast Barta. That makes it flinch. So then after that I run behind it and Start hacking away and if it turns fully around, I start the process again.

And for what Lightsneasel said, Online and Multi-player mode are the same thing. Online is a multi-player so it would be the smae thing. Beieng offline and alone is easier because enemies HP are lower. They raise stats and resistances on multi-player and online becuase there are 4 players and it would be easier to kill off every enemy and they wanted to add a challenge.
