I don't think Katara COULD heal his scar, I mean it's already healed on it's own hasn't it? She could of done some thing when it first happened, but not anymore. I mean her healing powers arn't endless, she couldn't heal Jet, right?

I mean her healing powers arn't endless, she couldn't heal Jet, right? no, but Jet's dead (presumably) which is a completely different story, and besides, remember what the waterbending master said about the water? it has special properties, so maybe it can not only heal a wound, but restore the skin and tissue to it's former state, you never know.

She probably could've, but Smellerbee and Longshot realized that if they stayed to heal him, they might miss their only chance to go after Long Feng and get Appa.

the extent of kataras healing abilities are questionable at best. i dont think its something she practices, shes spends time on regular waterbending.
shes prob cudnt heal jet b/c it was internal damage, broken ribs, punctured lung, internal bleeding, that sort of thing. shes healed her own burnt hands, a small burn on aang i think, n one of the earth soldier's chi-blockage. i think the injury has to be a Recent small-scale exterior wound. i dont believe zuko's scar qualifies...unless the oasis water is tht special.
anyway, im a lil relieved knowing tht azula n iroh are also in the cave as well

i'm with the people above for a few posts. it's not Zuko's character to get his scar heal, but we will see come this friday (can't wait!)

I agree with most of them members here.
But the scar being healed isn't so bad.
Just not in the middle of the series.
A good time would be toward the end.

Hm... to keep it or not... As far as the character goes, it would show that he's changed and all that. But at the same time, we've only know him with the scar... Changing it would just be weird. sweatdrop For me at least. I don't think they will. Should they? ... Dunno... I don't think so.
But I've stopped trying to predict this show. rolleyes

Even though Katara did not heal it there is no chance that Zuko's scar will be healed in the future even if she did get more Phoenix Down's (thats what I call the special water). The creator's of Avatar are not going to get rid of Zuko's most distinctive feature.
