As Jitka sweeped up Devika, Mayes did the same, letting Takumi sit on his back. He hadn't noticed before, but they were growing...too fast, too soon, but wasn't that with everything? Of course, there was no way he'd be able to carry Takumi there and back...but at least one way would be good.

He added in, and headed for the door, Gouka following.

"Let's go~!" The boy chimed, and skipped out after the other koivou.

Where were they going? Takumi tipped his head, but rested on Daddy's back. Well, wherever it was, he was sure they'd have fun. After all, what was the point of showing them something boring?

Jitka shouted, and she had to resist the urge to run, because Devika's claws were well developed now, and she didn't want to have to deal with Devika's claws digging into her back, attempting to hold on.

It was tempting to run, though. She couldn't wait to meet everyone's families!

Devika caught Mommy's excitement, and grinned, swishing her tail eagerly. She wanted to see the exciting thing! She couldn't wait to see the exciting thing! The exciting thing was so exciting that Mommy was almost running to get to it!

She wished that Mommy would run. It would be fun to ride on Mommy's back when she ran!

"Okay, and we're off! My place is closest, right? It's a bit more than a day out, give or take, depending on path conditions, and how often we need to stop." Gouka and Mayes were both experienced travelers, and so they'd probably end up pushing the group, while she and Tails hung around the back. Oh, she'd made the trip to her house a few times, but she didn't seem to live on the road, the way she thought Gouka and Mayes did.

"Mirek and Touma know, so if they ever show up, people can ask them."

She might act like an over-protective parent towards her Koivou, but Touma seemed to be under the impression that she couldn't take care of herself, and liked to keep an eye on her at all times as well. It definitely made for an...odd relationship, but it was good, if anyone ever wanted to find her or her Koivou.

"And running will just waste your energy. It'll take awhile to get used to the weight of the backpacks just walking."

She understood the urge to run, though. It had been such a long time since she had seen her family. She hoped that they were doing well: maybe they'd have gotten a phone or something by now, so she could call them, and not have to walk so long to get back home.

Not that she minded the long walk, but it seemed like there was always something going on, and it was hard to find a few days to take off to go home. If she could just be able to call every now and then...It'd make things a lot easier.

Devika knew the word "run". She wanted to run! She would run, too, if she knew where they were going. But she didn't, and she didn't want to get lost, because that would be bad.

But they seemed to be following the path. She would run, until something happened to the path!

Devika jumped off of Mommy's back, and started running down the path as fast as she could go, which wasn't all that fast, since she was a kit, and a small one at that.

Jitka shouted at her daughter. She wasn't sure what Devika was doing, but she didn't want to loose her, so Jitka started running after her daughter.

"It is far too early in the trip for this," Anrea muttered to no one in particular.

"Two," Anrea corrected Karma, and sighed. They had just left, and already stuff like this was happening.

Jitka quickly caught up with her daughter, picked her up, and placed her back on her back.



How long? More than an hour? An hour was a reaaaaaaaly long time. Would it be even longer than that? It had to be something reaaaaaaaly good though, if Mommy was taking them all to see it, so Devika would wait, and stay on Mommy's back, even though she wanted to run so she could get to the good thing faster.

"Jitka was running after Devika, so Devika couldn't get away," Anrea explained to Karma.

At least Devika was staying put now. They couldn't afford to waste energy running around when they weren't even halfway through the first day yet.

From the pace earned by traveling with Gouka, Mayes was several yards in front of the group, zoning out. Of course, he was paying mild attention to what was going on around him...but he was mostly just...well, walking, paying mind to nothing in particular. Were was he going, again?

"Oi~!" Gouka shouted back to Anrea. "Say, how long is this trip going ta' be, anyway?" Like Mayes, he had no clue as to where exactly they were headed.

When Devika had run ahead, Takumi's natural reaction was to jump off of Dad's back and chase after her. But it didn't seem like Mommy liked how Devika ran off...so he stayed put, making himself comfortable on Mayes' back.

Takumi yawned, rolled over onto his back, and stared across the way at Devika. It was always fun to look at people when you were turned the other way - they looked so funny! Though, he noticed that his head started to hurt if he had to stay like that for very long, and head hurting was never good.

He glanced up when he heard 'Rea speak. Something about night. What about it? Was it going to come soon? But nighttime meant sleeping...

Traveling at night in the fall was generally a very, very bad idea. Then again, thanks to school, Gouka's had to walk around at night in a forest with a blindfold on, so...

Mayes glanced over at Jitka and slowed his pace some. When walking with Gou, it had become just an instinctive thing to take his faster pace. But they were walking with others now, and he shouldn't stray too far...especially since he had his son on his back.

How long had they been walking, really? Well, the sun had risen far above their heads...almost directly above, he figured. They did have quite a hearty breakfast, but surely the kitlings would be getting hungry soon. Either that, or it was his own stomach talking.

"Anytime fine with me!" Tails jumped about if she couldn't run she would jump. She would show rea she could use up some energy and still have enogh to make it to everyone's place. "Yey! Yey!" She was getting very hyper now. "Maybe we should stop and eat soon it's about 12:30 I think."
