I understand your point, wench, (Ooh, it's going to be fun being able to say that... ninja ). However, I still thik we should be able to post our frustrations in guild, rather then having to take it to PMs. It's kinda nice to know that you have some people who understand and can pat you on the back while you vent: Rather then having it build up inside you 'till it's strong enough for you to just be pissed at everything.
exactly! lol. I think I need a brain transplant.

For me the big thing that set off this thread, (I'm the one who made it right after a post of theirs made me -really- upset) was that they insulted my banner, called all the girls in our guild sluts, and said they wanted to slap me. A completely innocent but somewhat humorous banner.

And I couldn't reply to it. I felt like my legs had been cut from under me, because I couldn't say anything to my tormentors.

^^That's the banner I made. Do you see anything wrong with it? In part, it makes a point that the Pro-Life guild isn't just men, which is something Pro-'Choice'rs seem to think (That only men would take away 'women's rights.') And in another part, it's complementing all the women in the guild, because they -are- beautiful women.

Although, one good thing about my having pent up anger is that it inspired This Song Parady (Please read). 3nodding

Lol, what a clever idea!!And it is true too. 3nodding

You're not the only girl who thinks she needs one. xp

Exactly why we should be able to do the same sort of thing back. xp

stooping to abortionists' level only makes them seem more legitimate than they are.
well the thing is, they take our posts in here, quote them, and then make long posts in their guild and we can't defend our points and it gets frustrating.

So are we on a treaty with the other guild, or are we still at war? xp
by now, we maintain a frustrated alienation, mostly.....they haven't popped in here, don't think we've popped in there, but....have you been to their guild?

Pro-Choice Gaians

so there is their guild. We stay out of eachother's way because it's really...

It's an emotional topic. We can both argue until we're blue in the face; we both think we're right, we both think that anyone onthe other side is blind, we both think that it's obvious how stupid the other side is being. We both think the other side is selfish and immature, and we both think that there is overwhelming evidence on our side that we're right and can't see why the other side "ignores" it.

So, it's not really war. this is just the thread where we allow our frustration to come out among people who share the same beliefs and we quote and argue and ask for opinions on things that they say but we can't reply to.

In ED, though, it's war.

Hmm I went to their guild, its WAY more comfy here. I really had to hold back and restrain myself from dissing all the threads in there.
I know we're not really at war xp , just...disagreeing with each other.

I'm about to go religious nut.

If satan would just plain show himself as EVIL and not good, this wouldn't be an issue. Being Pro-choice looks so moral. You're for women's rights, treating women like people and giving them choices and saying, you can't tell her what to do! It's so easy to pass a fetus off as a lump of tissue.

But, I guess if Satan looked obviously evil all the time, he wouldn't be so popular.

That's an understatement... sweatdrop I don't know what it is, if it's just me or what, but their guild forum gives off a dark energy if you ask me.

That sounds really superstitious and junk, but I literally feel like I'm touching something dark and slimy every time I go in there.

Maybe it's the fact they all hate you.

Diadema

I know it may not be legal to quote the other guild and all...but as far as I'm concerned if they say it, it can be used against/for them.
PostPosted: Sat Feb 05, 2005 12:48 pm

Diadema is right. Only if it particuallary stated in the rules will i even consider not quoting the pro-choice Guild. If they say it and it is wrong, it is our responsibility to call them out.

We Pro-lifers got quiet after Roe-VS-Wade. In part i believe pro-lifers everywhere felt defeated. The government said abortion was ok. So we shut up. We began quiet little revolutions to try to get things back the way they belong. Only problem is, fighting a big thing with little weapons don't work to well.

The Pro-lifers need to wake up. It is no longer time to sit quietly in the shadows as the world passes us by. We should no longer be silent as they shove there pro-choice down our kids throats in government schools. Its time to stand up for what we believe in. And the only way to do that is to prove that abortion is wrong. And to prove, we must use what they say. Wether against them or to fuel us to keep going.

I will quote the pro-death guild if i feel that something is so terribly wrong i have to say something, wether the rules say i can or not.

Don't mind my prudeishness, but......

Methinks if we quote, take names out. I'm serious. It's just ill will to leave names in. If someone makes a bad point, we should probably respond to it somehow, but leave names out. I can tell you, no matter how much I knew how far I'd been taken out of context and how obscure the references were, I didn't like it one bit that there was a hate thread dedicated to I.Am and me. It kinda hurt somewhere inside of me that people thought that poorly of me, and well, I know they do, but it's people sitting behind these computer screens, not just screennames. I think it'd be much better to leave personal gripes to be argued out via pms and away from forums. If anyone on either side is getting to be a big problem, let the mods or someone know, but it's below the belt to misquote, take out of context, insult, change words, even if it's accidentally.

If you take the names out of the quotes, I will consider keeping this thread open.

The new rules clearly states that these threads cannot be allowed. But i'll see if I can leave one open for some venting room. Anything beyond intellectual criticism and I WILL close this thread.

Your warning has been administered.

Kyle... I'm not sure what you mean. I don't think that Pro-Lifers have felt defeated, and I don't believe there was any point in time that we were quiet. I don't really see what bigger 'weapons' we can use, unless we start physically destroying Clinics and attacking Pro-Choicers. o.O

The groups that exist aren't really small. True, there aren't any that are big in the way Planned Parenthood is, but it's not like they are all little local things.

And, though we may disagree with their opinions, calling them the "Pro-Death Guild" is almost definetly out of order.
PostPosted: Mon Feb 07, 2005 6:24 pm

Well, how much you wanna bet someone quotes that to complain that prolifers think of prolife as prodeath devils?

Prochoice isn't necessarily pro-abortion. Just pro-legal abortion. Difference between the abolitionists and the, eh, I disagree with slavery but not my place to tell people what to do. Many people who are pro-choice find actually find abortion to be morally wrong, but see it as even more wrong to try to stop people from having them.

There are people who bomb clinics. I wouldn't suggest it. Police officers don't seem to like it that much. Neither do the workers at the clinic. Did you know that you could get jailed for that? Man, I gotta research some of these "law" thingies before I do something like that again.

What? People got mad at you for that? Dang. Well, there goes my weekend... What'll I do now that that's out of the picture? xp
