Yes, everyone important who is against me will be dead, and I'll have my own country so other countries can't tell me what to do. It'll work, I'm sure of it! whee
no....some five year old will go tell the UN and they'll make you join just to punish you.

Not exactly true. If the UN doesn't recognize Taiwan they're certainly not going to recognize you. Just as they haven't recognized Sealand. They'll turn their snooty euro-trash anti-semitic noses in the air and ignore your existence.

Ah, you might be right. *sigh* I guess I"ll have to kill all five year olds as an example to the rest of them. twisted
if they're all dead, then there are no five year olds left to see the example...we should stop, I mean, abortion looks humane compared to this.
Ok, fine. But can I still make Texas it's own country? biggrin

You know that part of Texas' agreement to become a state included a claus that said that they could split into four states, because of size?? Can you just imagine if we exercised that claus? We probably would never have to worry about a Democratic president ever again! And we'd get to make a new flag! And name new states! And new state jobs would open, and.... This is looking like a really good idea to me.. surprised

you know, that's not a half bad idea. I'm tired of compromising to suit the needs of the Northern and Pacific Coast states anyhow. I'd fight for that cause.

hmm. Sure.... stare heh, I'm a yankees fan and I was born and raised here in MD all my life, so I shouldn't be talking. But in my own defense, my family's from NY. My Papa's been a Yankees fan since they were the Highlanders, before they had pinstripes. Actually watched Babe Ruth play and all, and then of course my Mom was raised a Yankees fan but my Dad went straight for the Mets, I'm pretty sure from the beginning. Yeah, they're old enough, I think. But anyway, we were raised Yankee with Mets a close second. I told my friend the other day that I'd know I was in heaven when I found myself at the 7th game of a subway series game tied bases loaded two out bottom of the 12th inning, and catching the winning home run hit by some new baseball star. Course at that point I'd realize that because I was in heaven, I'd realize I was dead. To further that point, I'd probably hop on over and watch the Jets win a Super Bowl. Then I'd know...I'm either dead in heaven or this is some drug-induced haze.

We're talking about Texas and sports and Yankees and this started out as an adoption thread???

I'm just playing...but about the adoption thing...I know this one lady who adopted two of her three children, one was open (I'm not sure which kind of open), and one was closed (the little girl was from Romania, it'd be hard to be open). As far as I know, in extreme cases, like the little girl from Romania, open isn't practical nor possible. But I think the other little boy benefits in knowing his "tummy mommy" and his "heart mommy."

Plus they're all adorable so I'm biased. xd

it's gotta be hard being adopted and having a birth mom and an adopted mom and being confused which one you should love more.

That's true. I honestly can't imagine.

either way its a lot of stress on the child
PostPosted: Sat Nov 20, 2004 7:58 am

It's hard. people are all different. Take things different ways. You'll never really know which way is best for the child until he or she gets older.

One thing is people keep saying we've got enough kids in the adoption system. That's due to the fact that CPS takes kids from good parents and puts them in fostercare with abusive people and pass them around and make it impossible for the parents to get their kids back. Then people say, "Well everyone just wants babies." Yes....and so adoption as opposed to abortion would cause the child to not be adopted because....everyone wants a baby and you're not a baby if you were almost aborted or what? lol.
