His attacks were getting better, and Blackheart's were getting weaker, but he shouldn't let that get to his head just yet. He had to win this first, and then he could gloat.
Right now, though, he attacked again, bitting Blackheart on one of his forelegs.

Blackheart wimpered to himself as Altiar bit one of his forelegs.But Blackheart wounldn't give up. He snapped at Altairs neck.
Blackheart didn't want to lose, but with his ingured leg he proble would.

Altair managed to evade the attack enough so that it didn't cause that much damage. Oh, he was bleeding, and it wasn't nice, but it still wasn't anything to hamper him, yet.
Blackheart was being wise by keeping his wings close to his body, giving Altair less to attack, so Altair decided to go for the next best target, Blackheart's injured leg.

Blackheart tried to dogde the attack but felt Altairs teth hit his ingured leg. Blackheart growled and went after Altairs neck.

Adurna sat there on the edge watching. Wondering how this was going to end. If Blackheart didn't pick up soon he would lose. But then again, who was she hoping for? She started to lose ehrself in her thoughts, but just aware that they were there fighting. And jumping in case one came her way.

More damage to his neck, but in a different place. Which was good. He wasn't quite sure how bad his last scratch had been, and he really didn't want to risk Blackheart worsening that. But it still was just a bit more than scratches, at least. Bloody scratches, but scratches none the less.
Altair clawed at Blackheart's face, knowing that should distract Blackheart enough to leave him an opening.

Blackheart felt Altair scratch the side of his face and it hurt. Blackheart lunged at Altair's throat agian.

Okay, so that hurt. He lowered his head instinctively, to protect his now rather injured throat. Blackheart was not getting another swipe in there.
Altair lunged for Blackheart, aiming for Blackheart's throat. See how he liked it!

While the swipe connected, it was a bit off target, hitting his forehead, and not his eye, greatly lessening the damage.
Well, then, why not do the same? Altair took a swipe at Blackheart's left eye, and hoped that he connected. Then Blackheart's depth perception would be off if he did, and that would give Altair a nice advantage in the battle.

Blackheart felt Altair get the side of his left eye and it really hurt.Blackheart snapped at Altair's foreleg, hopping that it would leave some damage at least.
