Emily was relieved she was not the girl this horrifying, threatening, abusive stranger was looking for. If this was a different situation she would have jumped around in circles with glee. But under the circumstances she would probably be killed. This man seemed so burdened, and stressed, like he was going to snap any minute.
She jumped backwards at his response, she could not see what happened, because his back was turned towards her, but she felt the impassable presence of cold, darkness, a strange feeling consumed her. Chills filled her body, and she hugged herself. What he said next also surprised her. "A game, are you talking about the millions that have died, the uncertainty if anyone is going to be alive tomorrow, the demolishing of this country, of the world? I know damn well that what is going on is not a game. What am I supposed to do about it, Im a waitress for gods sake!" She looked at his eyes, they were still glowing their mysterious color, and his expression was none to reassuring, but he needed to know that she wasnt as blind to what was going on as everyone else was.
His hand stretched towards her. She was shocked. Was this some kind of trick? Or did he really want to.. apologize. The second one didnt seem to promising from what she had seen from this character in the past hour or so. He had put a gun to her head, threatened her repeatedly, smashed walls over her head, and now he just gives his hand to her. She almost laughed. She looked at him, "How do I know you arent going to try to kill me?" she said

((Sorry to do this, but it sounds a little better if I interrupted her at that point when your talking.))
Vincent interupted Emily just before she finished saying, 'how do I know you aren't going to try to kill...' His voice though low in tone was strong in vocals said, "Cause you would already be dead. Now will you accept my apologie or will you force me to kill you." He smiled as he began to joke around with her. Like he wanted to say before he wasn't a killer, he just did it to protect himself when needed. "Trust me or not, it doesn't matter. Either way you are still ignorant of the forces that have yet to come any further." He stopped for a second as he noticed a car drive by at a very fast rate of speed. It seemed that the day was just about to start soon.
He looked over towards her eyes, nothing but questions where probably flowing through her head. He wasn't an oracle so he had no necessaty to answer them. "If I told you what was doing this, you would probably never believe me. Then again I have been surprised once or twice. Usually causing another unforgetable scar upon my body." He took his hand and began to rub the his inner armpit, then moved his hand to the center of his back. He was old, and his scares still reminded him of what happened to him.
"What should matter most now to people like you is will you do what you have to do, before you die."

((I edited my previous post so that it fit your interruption... blaugh ))
She was taken aback by his abrupt answer to her question. Although he did make sense it was difficult to trust him or believe any word that was coming out of his mouth. She looked at him and wished she knew if he would really kill her, but by the smirk upon his dark face was not a good omen. She smiled, the fakest one she could muster and crossed her amrs in front of her. "I may not know what is going on, and I may be just some citizen in your mind, but I am not someone who wants to stand by and watch the res tof her life fall apart. I know something is going to ahppen, I know it is going to be big, and I know it is going to alter the world forever. I am not slow" she replied back. Still her ignorance to what was going on, was not helping her in this situation. She needed the information, and was now more intrigued by it than ever. The only way she would get her answers is to accept this mans apology. Fatal or not,s he was bound to die sooner or later.
She took a step towards him. "Fine, I accept your apology" she looked directly in his eyes, pushing the numbing feeling she felt to the back of her mind. She stood her ground, watched as he pointed out his battle scars, knowing now that this was indeed a warrior. "Why do you fight? It is obvious it is not for the intention of the people, or the well being of these towns. Is it personal gain, revenge? What drives you to do what you are doing, to fight so ruthlessly? To stand up against something, that noone believes or knows about!"

((One of the most famous events that happens in every Final Fantasy game is.... Random encounters. So for the sake of story and humour, random events are here.))
Vincent Looked over towards her and noticed she finally accepted his apology, but she also ignored his offering hand so it was more of an insult then a acceptance. Then came her remark of fighting, What reason should one have when fighting, to fight for revenge would seem to primitive for him, yet for that thought it could be considered it, even though he did not follow it as a vendetta.
"A warrior fights because he has to, not because he can. So I guess this is what my thoughts are." Vincent finished his sentence and right behind Emily was a huge rodent with its fangs barring and its claws ready to slash away. As Vincent saw this the Rat began to fire itself into the air and right at them. Vincent took his hand and grabbed Emilys shoulder as he tried to protect her.
*Crash* the glass on screen cracks into shards and flows away as the screen becomes blank. Then Vincent and Emily appear on the screen right infront of the rat. Vincent had his gun in his right hand and his claws ready on his other hand. Emily had no weapon, but a broken bottle ready to stab at the rat. It was Vincent's move first, he lifted his gun and fired one shot directly at the rat. It instantly killed it as it fadded off the screen. They had won and a few gold and exp. was given to each character. The obnoxious music begins to play as Vincent and Emily do their little stnaces. The screen goes blank again and goes back to where Vincent and Emily were talking with each other.
"Then my question should be the same to you. Your hiding something, by the way you reacted to my sword I can tell you have fought once before. Though you are not the girl I am searching for, what do you fight for?" Vincent said after the fate battle between them and the creature.

Emily brushed her hair out of her face, and slumps against the wall. "You have mistaken" she said. She now had a slight trust in this man, he did in fact just try to protect her. The slightest encounter always has a meaning. "I used to fight. I have no reason to fight right now. What ahs happened is behind me, and I wish not to return to that." She quieted down and looked to her feet, almost embarrassed. She tried to supress the memories that were trying to flood their way into her mind. She could not let them embedd themselves into her skull once again. She did not want to become that person.
She propped herself up straighter and turned towards him. "I used to fight for myself. Only numero uno. I regret what I have done, and wish to leave it at that." She flashed the stranger an odd but real smile and crossed her arms. She started across the street, heading back towards the bar. "I have to be getting back now, you can join me if you wish" she said pleasently as she walked across the street rather quickly.

Vincent glanced up from the ground with his mouth about to speak, but he stopped himself before he said something stupid. He nodded his head as she walked through the door. The door followed behind and he clenched his fists around his gauntlet hand. "No matter how hard you try, your past is something you can't erase, or keep away." Vincent took his claws placed them on the brick wall next to him and laid it there. His mind began to drift upon how he required the claws and it seemed like a nightmare if nothing more. As the thoughts traveled acrossed his mind like a snake traveling acrossed the heart of a woman, he ripped his claws through the wall and left a huge gapping scar. Though his claw wasn't that big, it left a scratch large enough to claim a dragon as the culprit.
"I guess I should go inside now." Vincent took what he had and moved away from the already torn apart wall and started for the bar. He looked around this time, he seemed to be less alert then before. Was that the reason he was able to see without his eyes before? Yet what ever it was it didn't matter as the door slowly moved open and him following behind Emily. "I guess I should have what evers left of that bottle."

Emily walked to the counter, aware that the other man had already left. Nothing was out of place, which was unusual in times of need, something always seems to get misplaced. She put the remains of the bottle on the counter, daring it to roll off, then crouched behind the bar and pulled out a glass, pouring some water in it for herself. She put the glass to her lips and let the cool liquid drench the back of her throat.
She looked at Vincent. "Have a seat.. would you like anything else to drink?" she asked avoiding his earlier question. She grabbed another glass and placed it on the counter, as if it was an enticing gesture. She sat on the small black stool that was hidden well behind the bar counter. Her boss had told her that she should not sit down while working, but noone comes to the bar in the morning, noone seems to really come to the bar at all. Money was now scarce and only the real desperate people clung on to their addictions.
She readjusted herself, and pulled her hair out of her eyes. "So who is this Pestilence?" she asked. She was so curious about who this person was, "And what led you to believe it was me?" She questioned even further, hoping that it had nothing to do with her past, with the memories she tried so hard to supress, that always seemed to flood her mind when she was weakest. Her dreams, daydreams, when she was alone, it was hard to keep her mind from wandering, wandering back to those horrible days, the days she wished never happened.

Vincent walked over to the counter sat in one of the black leather stools provided and moved his hand over the bottle to pick it up. He moved a little slow as he caught on to every word she was speaking. It wasn't until she asked about herself as Pestilence did the drink lift from the counter top and into his lips. As the alcole dripped past his throat directly to his stomach he thought to himself about the girl. He never met her, but if he ever met her he would know who it was. He felt her once and that seemed enough to give even him the chills.
"You don't need to know anything about her, at least not yet. Those who know her usually die, I'm just not one to accept death, and thats why I'm alive." Vincent placed the bottle on the top and took his right hand and placed his finger on the edge of his lips. He placed his tounge slightly out to touch his finger, then he removed it and put it on the bottle lip and moved it around in a circle. His finger became cold once again and the bottle began to create a very clear unique ringing sound that sounded like a soft echo. "But because you need to know something I guess I'll tell you something. What do you know of Pestilence? The word anyway. Do you know of the history that has, and the names of three others? Do you know what they call the end of the world? Maybe you have, but tell me what you know about the Apocalypse."

Emily listened to the slight ringing amazed from the soft clear sound penetrating from the bottle. She was dissapointed by his answer, hoping she would have gotten more information. But what she ahd was enough to know that she was not anything or anyone she faced or met before. Only being 17, she ahd done many things. Her life was more advanced, complex, and dangerous than many older people. She has faced many things in the last three years than most people have in their lifetime, thats the reason she is how she is, and what she was.
She stood up and walked around hte bar and sat in the leather stool beside Vincent, staring at the bottle, and still the sound eminating from it. She listened to his question intently, pondering about anything that she knew, anything that she had heard. She stoppped her thoughts not wanting to go back to where she was, not wnating those meories to return. She came up with nothing, knowing that she probably would have heard something back then, but she knew she was most likely to get an answer anyways.
"I have never heard of the name relating to a person, although if it was not coincidence that her name be that, I wish not to know this person." She paused. "Three others, I have never heard of, and as for the Apocalypse, I believe that is what you believe is what is going to happen to this world. And by seeing what is happening to the country, I know that it may be true. However I know not what to expect, or what is going to come. All I know is that Im not going to sit back and watch it happen"

"When I asked what you know of the word pestilence I was talking about what's its meaning. Pestilence is in the bible. You have heard of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse haven't you? Well in the story the horsemen are, Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death. They would come across this earth destroying everything which would soon lead to the earths Apocalypse." Vincent began to explain about the bible as if he was a priest. Then again what kind of priest has a gun that fires bullets the size of bottles and a sword that can cut through steel. Yet he was a little tired still, having so much done already he needed some sleep. A good rest would help much more then the warmth of the alcohol running through his system drying out his mouth.
"Your probably thinking what I am doing here, right? Well I'm just a solider trying to stop those who kill innocent people. But my part in all this is more likly bigger then I expect." He moved his eyes towards her wondering if talking about this would come out to being a good thing or a bad thing.

Emily listened to the man talk. His words seemed genuine, and how he spoke them you knew he was not lying to himself. That what he was saying, he believed was real. All of his questions earlier, seemed to come together and make sense. She herself was not a holy person. She rarely, if ever attended church. Her parents did not bring her up in a religious environemnt, they barely did anything to help her at all. It would have made sense for her to turn to religion for help than to the things she had in her past.
She was relieved to finally hear what this man was. A soldier. It made her feel more safe, relaxed and well less scared and frightened. He seemed tired, wore and well older than he looked. Maybe it was the eyes, his experiences the efforts of his past weighing on his shoulders. She listened intently and clung to everything he was saying, absorbing it all. After he ahd finished she looked concerned, and wella little frightened. "Are you alone in this, or are there others fighting for the innocent also?" She looked at her wirst and noticed how time had flown quickly, the bar once again had another dead afternoon, and the sun was about to fall over the remaining buildings once again, and maybe for the last.

(((AWWW this sucks no one else is joining in crap..)))
Vincent turned his back towards her and began to walk to the rest room. He didn't answer her question and he himself didn't know, or at least he didn't know the answer. He was a soldier, but he was more of a single warrior. He fought alone most of his life so there would be no point in saying he was with a group. But there were other people that knew about this, a small few, but would they do anything or would they... no not many would do anything. The fear, the stories, even the images Vincent had seen would stop any opposer from confronting them...them, that is what was interesting. To him could they be considered human or were they more a greater evil.
"I guess well both find out." Vincent walked into the bathroom for the men, and when he entered he removed his arm guard and looked at his left had. It was sweating and from the small scars that if you weren't looking for wouldn't be seen. He looked at himself in the mirror seeing how tired he was, how much he didn't want to have to go on much longer. He was tired and wanted to rest. Vincent was ready to fight at all times, on his guard every second. He needed some rest and sometime to not worry about the things around him, but it would all have to wait till later.

((Someone most likely will. I might add to the first post, and add a little more information. Include Pestilence, etc. Maybe then someone will understand what this rp is about more))
Emily shifted awkwardly in her seat. She hadnt expected silence. Had she said something wrong, something offensive. She did not think she did, but his sudden movement towards the bathroom, told her something was up. She opened her mouth to say something but was already met with a question. 'I guess we'll both find out.' What was that supposed to mean? Were they somehow working together, was he hinting he needed her help in some way. That couldnt be though, he was a soldier how would he get help form a teenage bartender. A bartender who knows nothing about what is happening to this universe. But the way he said those words put a fluttering sense in her stomach.
She stood up and walked behind the counter. It was beginning to get late, and she was planning on closing the bar early. She did not care what the owner said, he didnt even show up for his shift anyways. She walked to the back room and grabbed her bag. She returned to the front room and made all the needed preparations to close. She needed to get ready, for what she didnt know, but she had this feeling in the pit of her stomach, that she had a much bigger part in this huge picture than supplying people with alcohol. She smiled and sat back down in her stool, awaiting the return of the stranger.
