When I'm falling I'm in peace
It's only when I hit the ground
                                            It causes all the grief

Sariel hadn't meant to flinch. It had just been a reaction and she felt bad for it, then guilty, then confused as to why she would feel guilty or care if she had hurt his feelings. Shaking her head to clear it, the angel nodded when he said he'd be with the horses and then in his office. Her voice seemed momentarily lost and she sighed as he left. Right then, she didn't even want to be in the stables - quite honestly, everything hurt, badly. With the collar off, she was at least healing faster than a human would have, but since a demon had inflicted the wounds, it slowed everything down anyway. So she just curled up and put the tv on, more to have the noise than to actually watch something. The house was too quiet otherwise and it made her paranoid, worried someone was sneaking up behind her, that something was going to pop out and grab her. She tried to get rid of those thoughts, a shiver going down her spine, and settled on a cartoon channel. It was the silliest thing she could think of and it did calm her down a little bit, if only because it was so far removed from reality. Nothing really bad happened in cartoons.

It was nearing lunchtime and the angel still hadn't made an effort to go find the demon or be around him. She wanted to be alone, to just hide from everything, and was doing her best to do exactly that for as long as she could. But she was starting to get hungry, having never eaten breakfast. So she sighed and got to her feet, heading into the kitchen and making herself a salad from the greens and vegetables that were stocked in the fridge, even putting some dressing on it, before sitting down at the island counter and picking at it here and there. She ate more than half of it before she just gave up, lacking an appetite despite her earlier hunger. She just didn't have the urge to eat, it felt like. But she did her best before putting the remains back in the fridge so they didn't go bad, and then looked around a bit aimlessly. There wasn't much for her to do, at least, there wasn't much that she felt like doing, and she rubbed at her arm before heading upstairs.

She didn't bother to knock. He never did, so there seemed very little point in giving him that courtesy. Instead the angel just let herself in and saw him staring out the window. "I thought you said you were up here working," she remarked, trying to sound like she was teasing him and not just snipping at him to get under his skin. He looked like he was deep in thought and she managed a half-smile before she sat down on the windowsill. "You're going to give yourself wrinkles and then you'll just look like a cranky old man," Sariel said after a minute, clasping her hands in her lap with her wings tucked tightly against her back like always when she was anxious.

When Sariel entered Eligos' office, he was a bit surprised, but pleasantly so. He wanted to take her into his arms again and breathe in her scent, but he knew that she would not take kindly to the physical contact just yet. Her healing seemed to be going well from what Eligos could tell, but he knew that it would take another day before she felt completely better. He starred at her with amusement in his eyes before deciding to speak.
"Ah but you see my dear Sariel, us demons have the misfortune of not aging once we reach maturity. I am cursed to be this handsome for the rest of my life."

Eligos flashed a winning smile at her and then looked down at the papers in front of him. He was mostly done with his work, just a few letters to briefly compose and seal in envelopes. It wouldn't take longer than 15 minutes and Eli relayed as much before getting to work. His handwiritng was elegant and it would make anyone jealous. It only took him tweleve minutes to completel his work. He stood up and stretched, his t-shirt coming up a bit to reveal his abs before covering them up again. He walked slowly towards Sariel and then held his hand out for her to take.
"I know just what we need. Come on."
Once Sariel took his hand, he lead her back to the living room. He popped in a movie, one that neither of them had to pay much attention to. Eli sat down on the couch and pulled Sariel to him. He wanted her in his arms and the movie at least gave him the excuse to hold her.

The movie was boring and Eligos paid more attention to Sariel than he did the movie. He would either play with her hair or gently run his fingers over her arm. After the movie was over, Eli looked at Sariel.
"What would you like to do now? We can watch another movie if you like."

The demon got a roll of her eyes for his joke. If she'd been feeling better, she might have gagged for effect as well, but couldn't manage that much. Instead she just settled for a sort of huff that might have been the ghost of a laugh and shaking her head at him. It was the same for angels, of course, she'd never age a day past what she appeared to be already. That was just how it was with their kind. She hummed in acknowledgement when he said he wouldn't be there much longer. Really, she wasn't even there to bother him or make him stop what she was doing. She guessed she'd just gotten sort of lonely by herself and wanted some company, as pathetic as that sounded. Well, she didn't have to say it out loud, at least, and the angel just fiddled with a fold in her dress while she waited for him to be done. She didn't know what he'd feel like doing afterwards and hoped he wasn't going to try to make her go out or do any...activity that involved a lot of movement. Right then, she just wanted to rest up.

Looking at him in surprise when he held out his hand, Sariel eyed him for a moment with old suspicion lingering in her expression before it slid away and was replaced by...something else. Maybe her giving up? Whatever the case, she finally put her hand in his and let him lead her back downstairs into the living room. She sat down on the couch and slid her feet out of her mules while he put on a movie, curious as to what he picked. When he joined her on the couch and pulled her against him, almost onto his lap, she panicked for a brief minute, her wings stiffening in protest. It only took another moment for the appendages to relax again and tuck further between them to get comfortable, as the angel shifted so she was almost resting her head against his chest. It was...oddly intimate, oddly nice, and a small smile was on her lips. She dozed off against him during the movie, comfortable, and feeling his fingers in her hair did a lot to soothe her.

Shifting when the movie was over, she shrugged, making no effort to jerk away from him or run. "Another movie would be nice. I wouldn't mind it," Sariel told him after a minute to think about it, giving him a tiny smile for his question. Maybe he figured she'd take the opportunity to move away from him, or tell him she wanted to be by herself or do something else, but really...this was fine with her, just getting to exist. It was giving her body a chance to heal better as well, since she wasn't doing anything to exert herself.

Eligos had not failed to notice that Sariel was comfortable, even dozing off at a few points. Her lips formed a small smile and Eli wanted to kiss them again, but he didn't want to ruin the moment. He knew that it was going to be awhile before Sariel let him kiss her. Perhaps he had gotten away with it this morning because he had fallen asleep again right after. Either way, he wanted to be able to touch those lush lips with his again. When Sariel said that she wouldn't mind another movie, he was relieved. He wanted to have her in his arms as long as possible that day. He still wasn't sure why, but he was ignorning it for now.

Eli flicked through the movies already in the multi-set dvd player until he found one that he thought they would both enjoy and relaxed back into the couch. He continued to play with Sariel's hair and caress her skin with his fingertips. Sometimes he would even snuggle into her hair, closing his eyes and just existing in the moment with her. Once or twice, he may have even pressed his lips lightly against her head. It was a relaxing day, one that Eligos hadn't had in a long time and it was refreshing. He missed being able to relax with someone like that. The last person he was like this with was Levi's mother and while he missed being with someone in that way, he did not miss Levi's mother in the least.

When the movie was over, Eligos didn't want to move but his stomach was beginning to growl and he was starving. For a minute, he debated about getting up to cook and decided against it. It was about time he ordered out.
"Sari, what are you in the mood for? I was thinking something hearty like steak or maybe an exquisite dish of lamb."
Eligos pulled out his cell phone, getting ready to pull up a few take out menus on his phone so that she could get an idea of what she wanted for dinner. He was not going to let her miss a meal, although he wasn't sure if she had eaten lunch or not. He probably should have asked her that, but if he got her to eat dinner, then he wouldn't have to worry about it.

It's only when I hit the ground
                                            It causes all the grief

The movie was one she hadn't seen before - most of them would be, she hadn't had much time to see anything about modern film or music or anything like that, so it would at least be easy to find new things to watch for her. Sariel kept dozing off during it anyway, not because it was boring, but because she was comfortable and she felt...oddly enough, she felt safe with the demon, despite him being exactly that. She was sure that the demon who had hurt her was bragging about it to all his cohorts and wondered how long it would take to get back to Eligos, someone bragging about how they had hurt his new little pet. Shoving that thought away, the angel just sighed. She could sort of feel Eligos moving about slightly whenever he did, but she wasn't concerned enough to move and look to see what he was up to. Unlike the demon, she had never had someone to rest with like this, to snuggle and watch a movie with, and it was all unfamiliar to her.

When he moved, she was forced to move as well and found herself yawning. She stretched out, even her wings joining in, before she relaxed again and processed what he was asking her about. Food? Her stomach wasn't sure if it was full or hungry, it wasn't as if she was paying it much attention at the moment, and she still didn't feel like eating. But she had a feeling that Eligos was force her to eat, one way or another, and simply didn't feel like getting into it with the demon right then. So she sighed and looked over at the menus he had on his phone, taking the odd device and scrolling through it once he showed her how it worked. She settled on a place that had huge baked potatoes with all sorts of toppings, one with roast beef on it, that sounded oddly delicious to the angel at the moment. "That actually looks good to me," she told him, gesturing to that.

She watched as he placed the order, after figuring out what he wanted from there, and sat back on the couch. "So they just will deliver it here, then?" Sariel asked, sounding a bit surprised. She knew about take-out and all that, but thought it was just for things like pizza.

Eligos watched as Sariel scrolled through the menus on his phone until she found a menu with different kinds of baked potatoes. She took her time looking at them before she decided on one that had roast beef on top of it. Eli approved of her choice, but he was going to get the one that had pulled porked on top. With a few clicks of his phone, the order was place and he sat back with his arm around Sariel.
"Yes, they'll deliver it to us. There's all kinds of restaurants that deliver nowadays. There's a really nice restaurant that I own. Maybe we can go out there for dinner sometime soon." Eli suggested casually.

The suggestion wasn't meant to show her off as being his. The party had done that. This was simply meant to be a night out, something that the both of them could enjoy and get dressed up for. He looked down at Sariel, hoping that she would see the sincerity in his eyes and not take his words the wrong way. She was so sweet and soft and her lips were plush. Eli had the urge to kiss her right then, and he let it show in his eyes. But he kept his distance, not wanting to scare the angel and have her pull away. He broke eye contact and returned his attention to the new movie, but kept his arms around Sariel.

When the food arrived, he reluctantly pulled away from Sariel and signed for the food. He brought both of their meals into the living room, setting it on the coffe table in front of the couch. Eli didn't mind eating in the living room, although he preferred to not make a habit of it. They ate quietly and watched the movie, Eli being done with his meal first. He sat back into the couch, his arm resting on the back of the couch. His position and posture were clear that Sariel was still welcome to snuggle in with him and that he hoped she would.

                                            It causes all the grief

Listening to his explanation, Sariel didn't react much when he suggested they could go out to his restaurant one night. She wasn't sure if he was trying to show off to her for whatever reason, or if he was planning on bringing her there to show her off. Either way, right then she had no interest in going much of anywhere and simply shrugged in response. When her eyes met his own, she bit her lip, unsure what expression he had on his face and how to read it. That made her nervous, seeing something new on the demon's face, and especially when she had no idea what it was or what it meant for her. Her heart started beating a little faster and she was almost relieved when he broke eye contact and simply turned his attention back to the movie. Calming herself down, Sariel just let him go back to holding her, her attention more on trying to decipher what that odd expression in his eyes was.

When the food came, it was a welcome break from the physical contact. Not that she wasn't enjoying it - that was the problem. She was, didn't know why, and it worried her. So the angel turned her attention to the food instead. It was good, more filling than she had thought it would be, and she could only eat half of the massive potato before she gave up and made herself sick instead. Eligos had already finished, which was no surprise to her, and she glanced over at him and how he was sitting when she went to sit back against the couch. He was clearly giving her an invitation to - what? Cuddle, snuggle? For a moment Sariel was about to sit on the opposite end of the couch just for her own sanity but...was that...did she not want to hurt his feelings? When had she begun to attribute any sort of emotions to the demon at all, let alone not wanting to hurt his feelings?

Sariel didn't know what was wrong with her. Biting her lip, she decided to accommodate him and settled back against the demon, her head near his shoulder as she got comfortable and brought her feet up on the couch. She could hear his heart beating and it was oddly relaxing. Focused more on her confused thoughts than anything else, the angel ended up falling asleep on the demon holding her well before the movie ended, one of her wings draped over her as a makeshift blanket.

I felt the darkness as it tried to pull me down

Eligos has seen Sariel hesitate about snuggling back into him when she was finished eating, but he was glad that she decided to cuddle up to him once more. Her head was tucked into his chest and she could obviously hear his heartbeat. He bgean to run his fingers through her hair like he had done before, taking comfort in their phsycial contact. He knew that she was asleep long before the movie was over, but he didn't want to disturb her by moving her. He knew that she was recovering and wanting to make sure that she was comfortable.

Eligos began to power off the DVD player and the tv as it became apparant that Sariel was asleep for the night. He gently lifted her into his arms and carried her up into bed. He nimbly and easily changed her into a simple light pink night gown with white lace across the top and bottom, the bottom of the night gown ending at her mid-thighs. He placed her earrings and shoes back into their proper places and then tucked Sariel into bed. Eli kissed her eyelids lightly, a sign of affection, before turning off her light.

Eli headed back downstairs and cleaned up the living room quickly before heading to his room. He showered and then pulled on a clean pair of boxers before crawling into bed. With the darkness around him, Eli sighed and began to relax. He was still angry for what had been done to Sariel, not only because she was his but because it was so wrong. He was beginning to relax, starting to drift off to sleep when a weight shifted his bed. He had locked up the house so he knew that it only had to be one person. She crawled across the bed. Eli had been lying on his back, but once she was within his reach, he turned onto his side and tucked her into his chest with his arms around her. Eli buried his face into her hair like he had done the night before and held her closely.

Eli could have made a comment, but he knew that it would only ruin what fraglie relationship was starting to build around them. He kissed the top of her head gently and closed his eyes once more, relaxing into her. Sariel placed one hand on his chest and the other drapped over the curve of his hip. It was easy for Eli to fall asleep holding her and withint minutes of them settling down, he was sleeping.

                                            It causes all the grief

Sariel could feel him moving her around as he picked her up, but she was so exhausted it was too much effort to move and wake up fully. Instead she just drifted back off to sleep, it was much easier to slip back into unconsciousness than bother with the outside world. Including the demon that was carrying her. By the time he reached her room upstairs and began to change her, the angel was dead to the world again, only feeling the movements in the backmost of her mind and little else. It was almost soothing, but when she was alone in the bed, the lights off and door shut, something made Sariel snap back to reality. Panic rose up in her throat and she sat up quickly, looking around and trying to figure out where she was for a moment. Realizing she was in her bedroom, it wasn't hard for her to figure out how she had gotten there. Or how she had gotten out of her clothes and into a nightgown. Normally the angel would have been angry, or even embarrassed, that he had done that - now she was just...well, she didn't care. Maybe even a little bit...grateful, not that she knew how to put that into words, or explain why.

Sighing, she looked around and ran a hand through her hair. She didn't know what to think, other than that she didn't want to be alone. That was the last thing she wanted. Sariel knew that for certain, it was the only thing in her mind, other than the panic. It was the cause of the panic, the fear in her mind - the fact she was alone. Maybe the dark made it worse, she wasn't sure. All she wanted before was to be alone and now all she wanted was to not be alone. Taking a deep breath, the angel held it before letting it out in a 'woosh', thinking it would make her feel better. It didn't.

So she found herself heading down to Eligos' room, trying to be quiet even though that was ridiculous. There was no reason to be quiet or try to creep around, it was just the two of them in the house, after all. Shaking her head and feeling stupid, and also feeling afraid of going back to her room, and feeling stupid of being afraid - the angel was all jumbled up in her head and tried to clear it, but it didn't help.

He didn't move when she opened the door. Was he asleep or just pretending? The angel couldn't tell and she moved over to the bed carefully, keeping an eye on him. It looked like he was asleep, or he was a really good actor. Biting her lip, Sariel slowly sat down on the bed to see if he would react. He didn't, just laid there on his back. Crawling across the huge bed over to him, she jumped a little bit when he turned over, wondering if he was doing it in his sleep or if he had been awake the whole time. but it really didn't matter. It was strangely easy to settle down next to him, feeling his arms go around her and pull her against him, curl up alongside the demon and close her eyes. It made her feel...safe. The angel was asleep in minutes, not even bothering pulling the blanket up. He was warm enough.

I felt the darkness as it tried to pull me down
The kind of dark that haunts a hundred year old house
I wrestle with my thoughts, I shook the hand of doubt
Running from my past, I'm praying feet don't fail me now

The next few weeks were a blur. Eligos spent almost every moment with Sariel and they slept in the same bed every night. It didn't matter if they were in Sariel's room or if they were in Eligos' room, so long as they were together. Eli guessed it was because the angel didn't want to be alone, but he never questioned or made fun of her for it. In fact, he was the perfect gentleman to her. He made or ordered her food whenever it was time to eat, even pulling out her chair occasionally for her. He took her riding or hiking or swimming so that they weren't couped up in the house all day. On days that were bad and Sariel didn't feel like going anywhere or doing anything, they would curl up on the couch together and watch movies all day long.

It was nearing the 3 month mark and Eligos was beginning to get nervous. While he had made significant progress with the angel, he was starting to think that they needed a small push in order to get things really moving or to even accomplish his goal. A romantic getaway was just what they needed and Eligos made all the arrangements. They would stay in a small cottage in the Irish country side with a pond in the back that could be used for swimming. They weren't near any towns and the kitchen and pantry would be fully stocked for whatever they should need.

It was now the second day of vacation and Eligos was lying in a lounge chair on the sand shore of the pond. It was quite a large pond and when they had first arrived, Eli had joked about Nessie being in the pond to which Sariel had pointed out they were in Ireland, not Scotland. The demon peeked over at the angel. Sariel was in a bikini, sunning herself on a lounge similar to his own. A wicked idea popped into his head and he sprang into action, grabbing the angel up by her middle and hauling her into the pond with him. He laughed delightedly while Sariel shrieked and giggled. They had a relax relationship now and Eli liked the change. He didn't let go of her while she squirmed, pinning her to his body as they waded in the water.
"I didn't want that precious skin of yours getting burned." Eligos muttered, tracing the line of her jaw with his nose.

When I'm falling I'm in peace
It's only when I hit the ground
                                                    It causes all the grief

It was rather odd, why the demon hadn't tried to get under her skin, needle her or taunt her for her fear of being alone, her fear of the dark. But Eligos hadn't - rather, he had more than accommodated her, never forcing her to be alone. Rather, he seemed to encourage it, or at least be happy about it, when they snuggled on the couch watching something, or when he held her in bed while they slept. Sariel still had no idea about his real goal, to make her fall, or things might have been incredibly different between the two. As it was, she was seeing him as more than just a demon, an adversary that she had to fear...almost as an ally, someone who would keep her safe, even if he had failed so miserably in that goal the first time she had needed him. Perhaps even more odd than his behavior was the fact she had never brought that up - never rubbed it in his face, flung it at him as an accusation to hurt him.

After a week or so he began to take her out more, going on rides or walks, or even swimming with how nice the weather was, to get her out of the house. Sariel slowly began to return to a semblance of her former self, no longer mute and sad, though it was still hard for the angel to shake what had happened from her mind. There were days she couldn't even bring herself to get dressed and they would just watch movies, Eligos never trying to force her to go out or do anything at all.

If she was of sounder mind, perhaps she would have questioned it. Would have been more suspicious of his behavior.

Stretched out on the beach towel she'd laid out, the angel yawned, a hand partially covering her face while she lay out in the sun. It was impossible for her to get burned from its rays, so she was able to just relax and soak up the warmth in her skin and wings alike without worry. She heard the demon move but before she could even raise her head to see what he was up to, he'd grabbed her up and was racing towards the water. He got a shriek out of her, more of surprise and delight than any real anger, and even a few laughs escaped as she helplessly tried to escape his grip. At least he didn't toss her into the water, just waded on in and slid her off of his shoulder so she was pinned to his chest.

Laughing at him, she still squirmed to try to escape. "I'm an angel, I can't get sunburn," she reminded him with a laugh, tipping her head back and giggling at the tickling of his nose on her skin.

Eligos chuckled when she struggled against his grip on her to try and escape. He wadded further into the water until it was just under her chest. He smiled against her skin as he reached her neck, placing gentle kisses along her tender skin.
"Would you believe me if I said that I had forgotten?" He murmured, still pressing kisses along her neck until he reached the apex of her shoulder. Eli buried his face in her skin, pressing her body to his.

The relationship that they had formed was nice and Eli wasn't above admitting that he had been lonely as of late. But he knew that he was playing a dangerous game with the angel. At first, it had started out as simply trying to make her fall so that he would have the status and have her as well, but now, he was beginning to care for the angel. If she truly let him in, he wasn't sure if he would be able to go back to being the heartless demon she thought he was. Not when so much was on the line. He held her like that for a few moments longer before picking up his head and resting his forehead against hers.

Eli starred into the angel's eyes, the laughter from before still dancing in them. He liked it when she was happy and he didn't want their playful banter to end. If he thought that she would let him, he might have kissed her right then. He was so tempted to, but he didn't want to start at square one again. He would have to carefully assess the interactions between them and wait for the perfect moment. He continued to look into Sariel's eyes, wondering what she was thinking and if it was possible that her feelings for him had changed. Yes, they had started to have a better relationship and she had started to count on him to protect her, but that didn't mean that the angel had begun to care for him.

Eli dipped his head down closer to Sariel's and wondered just how far she was going to let him go. He wouldn't close the distance between their lips without her making a move or giving him the okay. He held her gaze, searching in her eyes for the answers to the questions he had been asking himself lately.

No, of course she wouldn't believe him. Not about that - not about most things, if she really cared to think about it. Why she believed him about caring for her, when he had been so kind to her, Sariel wasn't sure and it made her uneasy, deep down. Maybe the entire thing had been a trick? Could Eligos have faked that sort of rage towards the other demon that she had seen? Had he just tricked her into trusting him, using drastic measures to assure that she wouldn't try to escape? The thoughts had plagued her and the angel had, quite honestly, done her best to ignore them. She didn't want to believe that of Eligos, not anymore. Sariel wanted to believe that she was seeing an honest side of him, one that existed and wasn't just a show for her benefit.

Of course, none of those worried were currently present. Instead the angel was completely focused on Eligos, her laughter quieting down as his teasing grew more affectionate, rather than trying to elicit giggles from her. Instead her breathing sped up a bit, her heart beating faster in her chest. The sun was warming her skin, Sariel told herself as he rested his forehead against her own, it wasn't her own body betraying her, reacting to having him so close, holding her like this. The water was almost painfully cold in contrast and she bit her lip as his head dipped down, wondering if he was going to try to kiss her or not. Quite honestly, she was surprised that he hadn't already, given how close they usually were, and part of her...wanted him to, she realized.

Were those thoughts visible in her eyes? Sariel hadn't the faintest idea, her lips parting just the tiniest bit. Maybe in anticipation of the kiss she thought was going to come, that maybe...she actually wanted to happen? The angel wasn't even aware of such desires that lay within her, they rested so deep in her subconscious, but her body was more than certain of what it wanted when it came to the demon.

Eligos watched the angel carefully. He could almost track her thoughts through the change in her body. Her heart rate sped up and her skin grew warm under her touch. As he was looking into her eyes, he was it. Saw that flash of want that crossed them and noticed how her lips parted ever so slightly when he got close to her. Now was his chance and he wasn't going to waste another second debating it. He folded his lips over hers and started out gentle. He felt her tense in his arms before relaxing, melting against his touch and his kiss.

Eli reached up with a hand and cupped the back of her neck, tilting her head up to allow more access for her greedy lips and tongue. He deepened the kiss, crushing Sariel's body to his until there was hardly any space left between them. It was becoming harder to control himself and he knew that if he didn't stop soon, there was a chance that he wouldn't stop at all. He didn't want to scare the angel, but he needed more of her. He needed all of her. He had waited so long for this moment and he needed it more than for the simple fact of getting her to fall under his touch, but he needed it-he needed her on a much deeper level than that. If he had thought he had a soul, he would have said that it had been reaching out for hers.

The kiss lasted for a painfully long time, Eligos' need for Sariel only growing in intensity. He tore his mouth away from hers, only to dip down to the side of her neck that he hadn't covered in kisses. He nipped playfully at the flesh there, shivering when goose bumps rose on her precious skin. He was panting as he brought his mouth back up to hers.
"Tell me to stop or I won't." Eli growled into her mouth, the noise a primal sound of lust.
If she said the word, then he would back off. He would force himself to separate from her. But Lucifer help them if she didn't say anything.

Part of her thought he wouldn't do it. And that part of her was very, very wrong, his lips closing over her own. Sariel grew stiff in his arms for a moment, reacting to the instinctive warning that he shouldn't be doing that - she shouldn't be letting him. Which she was, her body growing soft against him, not resisting in the least when Eligos pulled her tightly against his own body, leaving no room for either of them to move. It was physically impossible for them to be any closer and Sariel felt that it still wasn't enough. Her arms moved from her sides to around his neck, her fingers curling in his hair as he tipped her head back. It felt like he was going to devour her, heart and soul, and her breathing grew ragged as she kissed him back.

The angel had always been taught that humans were born with a soul to match their own. Someone that was born only for them, as they were born for the other. Angels, however, were born with a whole soul, and demons with none at all - at least, that was what she had been taught her entire existence. But whatever she was feeling in her chest would have made her question that, wonder if this was how humans felt when they met their other soul. Sariel might have wondered that if her entire being wasn't consumed with how the demon's mouth felt on her skin. His words sent a shiver down her spine and the idea that she should tell him to stop never even entered the angel's mind.

"Don't...don't stop," she whimpered, her voice nearly drowned out by the moan that escaped her at his words. It was a pure need brought to sound and her fingers tightened in his hair, her nails digging into the back of his neck as she pulled him closer, kissing him with just as much want as he was showing.
