ArianaXXXXNyx_________________________________________________ Tactician | Team LANZ | Age 18  _________________________________________________"Hmm, star children… I had never thought of it in that manner, then again my mother had mentioned the ability is more akin to summoning creatures than anything else. They very well could be as you’ve described.” Ariana replied with light smile which played upon her lips. She enjoyed being complimented as much as anybody else, though until then only her family, and Nia, had witnessed the true extend of her Soul Flicker. For a moment she contemplated demonstrating the secondary form of it, however she quickly drew back her excitement and contained herself. Just in time as it would seem, as Iris had suggested speaking of their origins moments after Ariana had collected herself. She listened quietly as each member of the team spoke in turn, taking in the stories and emotions which welled within each and every one of them. Ariana desired to travel the world and learn all she could, or more apt to say, read everything imaginable. The thought of the island which Iris hailed was swiftly followed by the realization that there must be so many myths and legends upon it. Many of which recorded within what was likely to be volume upon volume of beautifully hardbound books, each waiting for Ariana to absorb their secrets. She must have zoned out in her desire for ever illusive readings, as Nia pecked her head several times to bring her back to reality. “Oww… Thank you Nia…I drifted away again…” She let out a soft chuckle as she pet Nia then shifted her lilac eyes upon the group and smiled. “I’m afraid I haven’t a beautiful or interesting story to tell as you three do…” She admitted yet turned her eyes towards Nia as she hopped onto Ariana’s hand and gently began to preen her feathers. “I was born in Vale, but my mother is a skilled huntress from Mistral. I was born during the winter, during a blizzard and my first memory was of me lying beside her, stargazing as she explained each and every constellation in the sky…” She smiled lightly as she watched Nia. “I ended up creating Nia on one such night, when an owl which looked very much as she does now landed before me. I wished for someone who loved books and the stars as much as I, and then… there she was. We startled the poor owl away however.” She let out a light chuckle as she turned her gaze upon the group once more. “I spent most of my time reading, whenever I wasn’t doing that, I was practicing controlling the potent aura I inherited from my mother.” She thought for a moment then nodded. “Hmm yes, that’s all I can really say. As I said, not particularly exciting, I am but a bookworm after all.” She smiled, the word she used to describe for herself she deemed as a compliment and not as a means to demine herself. She calmly followed Cora as she had started walking again and lightly placed her hand upon her shoulder once she had caught up. “I never had a sibling, but I would hope if I did, that I would be blessed to have such a caring one as you do.” She smiled after she’d spoken, and Nia fluttered off Ariana’s hand over onto Cora’s shoulder and nuzzled her neck. _________________________________________________

"Cora, I love you girl but don't you dare make me more teary eyed." Iris tried playing off the fact she too had some tears welling up but Iris would have changed this moment at all. Thank goodness Iris doesn't wear any makeup or else this might have totally messed up her looks.
With that light smile upon Ariana's lips Iris couldn't help herself from giving a giggle of joy. Though Ariana is from the mainland she had a much more open mind than others she and her brother had met before. "Nia, you're so motherly it's cute!" Iris stated as she watch with amusement, the phantasmic owl notifying and helping its master like a dutiful lady-in-waiting. Iris loved animals of all kinds, like her brother, and Nia was no exception. If only she could lay just one hand on the feathered beauty....
For whatever reason Iris looked over to her friend Danny and pondered what he thought about the whole team. Being a man on an all female team might be a man's dream but was it to Danny's favor? Did he hate it? Did he even care? This lady's curiosity wonders a lot so sooner or later they'd be noticing the island girl's cat-ish nature later.
“I’m afraid I haven’t a beautiful or interesting story to tell as you three do…” Ariana expressed to her fellow teammates but something about Ariana's averted gaze told Iris another tale. Perhaps she was just breathing too much into her fandom for lady Ariana. "Though you may think it's not interesting I find interest in you, Ariana." Iris openly admitted. "Being born during a blizzard must have been challenging for an infant yet you pulled through fine. And having a huntress as a mother sounds out of the norm. Besides, you were able to create Nia! How many others can say they created something as beautiful as her." Iris cooed to the owl, complementing the familiar, and attempted to pet it under its chin.
With things going so well Iris was beginning to believe the Soulstream must'ev showered past last night to bless today's adventure. Though she was originally, like Cora, from another team it must have been destiny or Fayth, as his ex believed in. Whether it was the fact the Grimm didn't pick up on negativity, some blessings from a higher power or just sheer luck the team was enjoying a tranquil walk among the birds and the trees but for how long was this to last..,

Daniel Redmond Crane  Listening to Ariana's story, Danny had to respect her as Iris did. "Yeah! Not many people can make their own pets/best friends from scratch! I gotta say, that's pretty cool! Honestly, if I had that power, I'd abuse it and make a flying alligator, and then it would most likely turn on me." He half-joked. He had to admit, she was a talented person, having a huntress for a mother, and all.
Danny had to admit, each of his teammates was unique and had qualities that made them who they were. Granted, he was originally thrilled to be the only dude on the team, but that was his hormones talking. He truly respected all three of these girls. Ariana was a clever, talented person, Cora was soft-spoken, yet strong and loyal, and Iris was a free-spirited, caring girl, even if she could be a bit naïve. We all have our quirks. Danny was glad to be on a team with them, and he didn't think much about being the only guy anymore. It helped him be more unique, but honestly, he was just glad to be with his friends.

Cora hadn't been expecting Nia to react as she had, but internally, the earthen huntress was glad that the owl expressed her approval and offered this kind of comfort. Words did not need to be further used among them at the moment and Cora felt no need to say anything further for now. As it was, she did want to keep her ears open. Having Nia close reminded her that other wings could be spread and be in use.
Nevertheless, never having been one to pass on a hug, Cora gently stroked the feathers of the bird. She wouldn't have minded if Nia lingered longer on her shoulder or cradled against her neck, but she also understood if the owl couldn't stay very long. However, to Adriana's statement, Cora felt distinctly touched. She nodded slightly. If only everyone were blessed with such a sibling.... There would be a happier and stronger world indeed.
To Iris' playful attempt at humor, Cora felt herself smiling also. It was good to spend this time together, getting to know who the team actually was. After a moment or two, Cora remembered that they were still in a grim-filled forest and they had to pay attention to their surroundings. If the forest was still.... there was a reason for it. Now that this came to her attention, Cora felt herself more distinctly on alert than she had been before. She came to a stop and looked around, though at the moment, all she could see were trees.
"Wait." She spoke in a firm tone and with enough volume to be heard but not to be considered loud. "The forest... it shouldn't be this quiet."

ArianaXXXXNyx_________________________________________________Tactician | Team LANZ | Age 18 _________________________________________________Ariana smiled lightly in response to what Iris had said, nodding lightly as she watched Nia happily be spoiled by Cora's petting. She took a few steps forward and scanned the trees while they walked. "A flying alligator...?" Ariana said softly as she tilted her head a bit, the amount of irregular things which this Daniel person came up with were almost staggering. Yet she shook her head a bit and sighed. "If you'd managed to create such a thing, it likely would not turn on you. My mother wrote that familiars created of one's own aura are incapable of turning upon their maker. You wouldn't need to worry about it turning hostile." She glanced back at Daniel as she spoke. "You would however need to figure out a logical means for which it could fly. Familiars are effected by gravity much as any other life form. A full sized alligator weighs on average half a ton, imagine the necessary lift required for it to take to the air..." She chuckled lightly, however she joked more at the sight of the beast in her head than the joke itself. However she was brought back from her imagination as Cora stated a very concerning fact. It was indeed far too quiet, the birds had silenced and there appeared to be no insects flying about as there once had. As if all life had cleared out of the area in fear of something, or somethings. "I would suggest we ready our weapons, I believe we're being hunted..." Ariana said in a calm tone as she drew her hilt from inside her jacket and flicked it open. The chambers of dust glowing a bright yellow, as Nia, who was happily being pet and cuddled quickly fluttered over to Ariana's side. She too appeared different, as if she were distinctly aware of her role in this situation, her head moving about, her eyes on watch for danger. Emitting soft clicks with her beak with Ariana nodding lightly. "Two beowolves in the trees to to the east..." She continued to click as Ariana spoke softly. "One more to the south and west, four to the north of us directly in our path..." She glanced back at her comrades as Nia kept a keen eye on their opposition. "It appears to be a hunting party, they intended us to run into the four while the other four converged. Typical pack tactics, though since we've stopped moving they're bound to charge in at any moment." She considered an ambush style attack with her Soul Flicker, however all that would truly do is cause the targets to engage and would likely not strike anything but the surrounding trees. _________________________________________________ OOC: Sorry for the delay in posting, honestly I didn't realize it was my turn >.< lol

Iris knew that the peace they shared wasn't going to last but why right now. Oh well, Iris thought, it was going to happen sooner or later. Readying herself, Iris looked at the surroundings to take in ever large rock, rotting log, oversized tree root and the very flow of the near by creek before saying a quick prayer under her breath. "Ancestors, make my lancing arm precise and my shield arm strong."
Howling of large wolves sent chills down the spines of smaller animals nearby, sending them running as the trampling of large paws began nearing Team A.C.I.D. Just as Nia had warned, the Beowolves closed in form each corner crawling out from large bushes with snarls of malice. Iris stood by her teammates taking out two seemingly average iron rods from her sash she made a secret utility belt and with the click of a button she expandable them, reviving her shield & spear; Ranssuroto & Achilles shield
With the northern grope of Beowolves still en route the other four, thous of the east, south and west, quickly stood before their selected target and moved in for an attack. On iris' side her Beowolf had leap off the tree and aimed for her with claws sharpened. The island girl quickly pushed foreword her shield and pressed a button on its handle to unleash its power. With the mechanisms inside the shield twisting and moving intricately a burst of wind had pushed the beast hard enough to have decrease its momentum to almost nothing. Taking a step forward and stabbing at the big bad wolf was child's play after that. With the Beowolf injured it had leap back and looked down at its chest, a small hole bleeding slightly, before snarling up at Iris. "You're lucky you're light on your feet or else that wound would have been a lot deeper." Game time! Like anyone from her home island of Atzlán Iris was a fighter. And like any good fighter the thrill of battle brought a smile on that usually sweet girl's face just before she brought her shield back up and held her double ended spear like a Deathstalker would its stinger. "How's everyone else doing?"((OOC: Gosh, sorry for the wait! ))

Daniel Redmond Crane Seeing the group of Grimm arrive, Danny was a bit bummed to have the team bonding cut short. "Ah well. That's life." He thought out loud. Two of them pounced on him, swinging their claws fiercely, only to be met with Danny blocking each swipe with his helmet. Hearing Iris's question, Danny chuckled.
"I could do this all day!" He called out. The two Beowulves then piled on top of the horse man shortly after. "Hey! Free pony rides are only reserved for pretty girls, and my little cousin Mavis!" He yelled at the beasts. He kicked and bucked relentlessly, attempting to shake them off. He managed to get one loose, knocking it off with a swift back kick to the jaw and shattering its teeth. The second one had clung to his back, sinking its fangs into the horse section of his body. "Gah!" He yelped. "On second thought...someone save my a**! Literally!" He screamed, trying to inject a bit of humor into his pain. "Oh, god, it's the middle school dinner dance all over again!" He added.

Here we go.
Cora made sure her shield was up and ready before moving to defend. She would let the more aggressive team-mates take the forefront of the attack. She would bat back a beowulf or two that got too close, though when help was needed, and when it was expressed by Daniel, she was ready to help.
She moved to his side, or close to it, and tried to avoid his desperate bucking so that she could get at one of the wolves. She struck boldly and smacked one on the side of the head. It only jarred the creature, but succeeded at getting its attention so it would snarl at her. It leapt off of Daniel and one of the other wolves followed suit to follow after the petite girl who didn't have a sharp and pointy object.
She held her ground. She planted her feet when the beowulves charged. She threw her shoulder and back into the counter, which shoved her very blunt shield into the pointed nose of the first wolf. She heard a snap and everyone heard the following howl of pain from the wolf that limped aside and cried as its mask cracked and seemed to blind it momentarily.
The second received a solid hit to its head with the side of her shield. While this angle was not particularly sharp, it was very capable of cracking through the wolf's skull, as it did. It might not kill it outright, but she began to wonder if the creature would be able to see properly through its right eye.
This wasn't the largest pack she had ever seen.... but it wasn't far off. This kind of noise might easily attract the attention of bigger predators... That could either steer them away if they were alone... or bring them to their location.

ArianaXXXXNyx_________________________________________________Tactician | Team LANZ | Age 18 _________________________________________________Ariana took a few steps back and raised her weapon before her in a fencing stance as the wolves converged on the group. She calmly observed their movements and the movements of her allies as she swiftly dodged one of the wolves' attacks and brought her weapon around to swiftly parry it's swing. In a smooth motion she drew the blade down and thrust it into the chest of the beast. She then swiftly struck it in a series of lighting fast thrusts until she slid back several yards by using the force of the final thrust to push her back; ripping the the Argyle coil out of it's chest causing it to howl out in pain and stagger down to the ground. With that one incapacitated she dropped the Argyle Coil where it shattered into pieces and reassembled into it's shield form which immediately set to hovering around her, facing the direction of the group of four which was moving in on them. Ariana kept a close eye on her teammates, assuring they were first doing well she rose her hand outward and closed her eyes for a moment to concentrate. "If we can stall the group charging at us I should be able to strike them with Flicker. Once they're too close I will be unable to do so without fear of striking you all as well. Daniel, are you alright? Can you use your weapon to create a wall of flame in their path and stall them?" She asked as her eyes sparked open, her aura manifesting as flames over her body as she created the floating wisps around her body. However her first target was not the group converging on them, instead the sphere lashed out directly behind her upon the Beowolf which was starting to stagger back onto it's feet. It howled out in pain before it evaporated within the explosions of her Flicker soul. She swiftly began drawing upon her semblance again, five more spheres forming around her and dancing about the air. The first target was easy, it was injured and took the force of all five spirits, it had no chance to escape. But four was an entirely different story, she would be able to injure them, but the best she could hope for was to render one or two immobile. However with them moving so swiftly she wouldn't be able to track them very easily. Throughout the fight even little Nia seemed insistent to help. She fluttered about, hooting and pecking at the wolves which annoyed them more than anything. One even took to swinging at her, however it's swing passed through her causing her to dissipate then re-form yet again to continue her "assault". She made for an excellent distraction however given that the beowolf seemed to have momentarily forgotten that Iris was in a primed position to strike it down. _________________________________________________ OOC:

"Thanks Nia!" The island warrioress shoved the inky dark cloud away with her shield, the grimm's proof of having been successfully slain, and took a step back; moving in on Daniel. "Danny, you're hurt!" She worried, seeing blood where the beast had taken a bite into the brave Faunus, but composed herself to heal her comrade. Tiny spheres of orchid colored stardust quickly flowed from Iris' aura to Daniel's wound, closing the puncture and helping blood cells regenerate at a quickened pace.
"Cora, here's something to help!" Iris was worried for her teammate. She couldn't let her going toe-to-toe with these monstrous without some help so she lent her strength to the brave shield barer. A part of Iris' aura would simply leave her in exchange to posses Cora and assist her physical prowess. Iris would feel her own might diminish but it wasn't like she needed it right now; Ariana's Soul Flicker was defending them well. "Ariana, I can help Danny and add to the potency of his flames or stand by you and defend as needed, your call! If Ariana chose for her to help Danny Iris would do so with a vile of red dust in her shield. But if Ariana would want Iris to defend her then Iris would use a vile of ice blue dust, freeze the legs of Beowoves which neared, and support Ariana's own aura with her semblance; Supporting Enhancement. Whatever the dissensions made they would have to be fast, the Beowoves were coming!

Daniel Redmond Crane Danny let out a sigh of relief as Cora removed the Beowulf from his behind. He could feel the sting of the bite vanish as Iris healed him, causing him to smile a bit. "Thanks, guys! You're the best! On another note, can we please never tell anyone about this little incident?" He said. He already got enough laughs from the carnival thing. He didn't need people knowing a Grimm bit him on the a**, of all things. He really hoped he wouldn't form a scar there, of all places.
As Ariana asked him if he could make a wall of fire, Danny smiled under his helmet. "I got this." He told his teammate. He owed his friends for helping with that little mishap. He waited for the tactician to make a decision regarding Iris and her dust, first, but she'd have to do it fast. He really wanted to burn these Grimm to ashes.

Cora hadn't been expecting the infusion of strength. When it came, it was like an electric bolt danced through her nerves and muscles. When a half-blind beowolf leapt at her, she angled her shield and slashed it with the sharpened side of it. The force of the blow almost slashed off the creature's head. In surprise, Cora blinked a few times.
She looked up to see the rest of the back ready to join them. She moved to the forefront of the group stall them. She focused her energy, and the extra energy Iris gave her, into her shield and focused it outward. The energy came out in a translucent and almost shimmering bloom that seemed to have a tinge of golden yellow throughout it. It moved outward and followed the curve of her shield, yet effectively operated as a wall. Hopefully this would help stall most of the pack and give Ariana the time she needed to take them apart.

"All remaining hostilities are engaging in a frontal assault, remaining behind on defense is unnecessary." She spoke in a calm tone, as if each and every potential outcome had already been thought out and decided. "If they remain stationary I can utilize the second form of Soul flicker and destroy them utterly." With that statement the spheres around her begin to spin around her rapidly before launching up into the air and coiling around one another until they formed one large entity. This one had an almost draconic look to it as it hovered in the air before slowly homing in on it's intended target. _________________________________________________ OOC: Sorry it's short, but lest I act for your characters all I can do at present is set up for my next one lol.

Daniel Redmond Crane Danny, knowing the plan, smirked beneath his helmet. "Alright, ya bastards! Come get some!" He yelled. The young centaur let Pyro Jack's flames spew forward, scorching the earth in front of him. The flames rose to form a massive wall, burning any Grimm that got too close. "Yeah! How you like me now, huh! Horse meat doesn't taste too good now, does it!?" He roared, still pretty angry about his earlier bite incident.

If that was the case Scorched Earth was the tactic to use. Even though remaining on defense was unnecessary defending a comrade was still smart. Taking a leap to Cora's side Iris thought to make full use of the coverage her friend was creating by changing the support of her Semblance, the changing being felt by Cora only, and activating a vile of red dust after swapping out the previous dust. With these four current Beowolves getting their hides burnt intensely most of them immediately retreated back to escape the range of the torches blaring from Danny's helmet and Iris' shield, but one of them had actually decided to rush the defense line and strike for as long as it will survive. With three hiding behind trees to recover from the fire and one attacking at the team what was the team to do now?
