Hrmmm a top three is hard, especially since it's anime rather than manga. I guess I'd go with something like:
1) Revolutionary Girl Utena
2) Princess Tutu
3) Gundam Wing

I think that if I had kept watching Legend of the Galactic Heroes, it would probably be on this list.

Manga (because I can't bring myself to leave them out):

1) 7 Seeds
2) Usotsuki Lily
3) Ciel ~The Last Autumn Story~

Ooh a really good movie would be Sword of a Stranger, if you like samurai and epic fight scenes.

I am actually a huge fan of a lot of anime, and asking for my top 3 is like asking a fat guy his favourite fast food restaurant.

Number 3: Ao no exorcist/ Shingeki no Kyojin
I chose these both because the are both amazing and the manga is just incredible. I love them both equally, so I had to put both in XD

Number 2: Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
This one of my all time favourites. I just got into it, but I'm on episode 125 and it is absolutely amazing. I love it ;D

Number 1: Bleach
Bleach is my first, and that's why it will always have a place in my heart, and on my top 10 list. I love the manga and anime!

I would say Cyber Punk/Dystopian genre, but you didn't list that. Regardless, here's my top three favorite Anime.

1. Beserk

Badass medieval Anime with a lead character who knows how to kickass.

2. Cyber City Oedo 808

Very underrated 3 episode cyperpunk Anime. Has three episodes with files on criminals turn cops to reduce prison sentences to become free.

3. DBZ

Who doesn't know DBZ? razz
