Having everyone build their realms' histories simultaneously is akin to promoting a cold war. We can expect that, consciously or unconsciously, some histories will strengthen realms, forcing every other ruler to begin consciously strengthening their own in turn until the deadline is met and beyond until the guild's activity drops. Every realm has a fairly straightforward conception which every RPer should comprehend. A history is unnecessary unless players would like to use it to create a deeper plot.

I understand what you mean. When people go to look at other kingdom they will indeed feel threatened by a kingdom that is stronger than their own and will constantly tweek their kingdoms stronger until it gets to the point of god-modding.

However, if we can keep people from doing that, it shouldn't be a problem, yes? Like say they can't go back and edit something or change something they already have put?

That's a good thought, once it's written, it's written, period. I also think we need to decide on our worlds population right here, thats where we have these issues, hundreds of thousands of armies coming out of your arse.

That's a good idea, but nobody would have the audacity to challenge edits, and people who would generally tend to create other problems and stir up unneeded amounts of drama. Afterwards, forcing people to revert their changes would create widespread discontent.

If we want a solution to someone criticizing this thread, we should just delete it, as it serves no apparent purpose, or change its title to 'guild background'. I don't know how this conversation evolved from criticizing this thread to considering a deadline for nations to finish their histories. The benefits from this policy, limited to slapdash backstories, don't provide compensation for its defaults.

A high population should not be a bad thing, i think we should just be a little more descriptive with our military, I plan on too. Some Kingdoms have to be larger then others, otherwise what fun is there?

I agree. Not sure why this little general summary should contain all the histories of the world.

As a side note, it is unnecessary to speak so formally. Especially when we are all in equal standing and it's difficult to get your point across if you write in a manner that is more like a legal document than a suggestion.

My criticisms were simply out of me trying to start on the RP.
I was trying to figure out what was going on in the RP, and "Guild Storyline" sounded promising, and then it didn't help me at all.
I don't think this is a useless thread. It's definitely the bulk of today's discussion.

I actually really approve of his writing style, as well as ideas.
