Wet werewolf, in Cain's opinion, was much better than whatever flowery junk he stank of for that week. No matter now much he disliked his own wet scent. Though, getting to his own next class--French, though he only just got by last year with a C--and sat down near another member of the clan, who grinned at him. There weren't many kids in their grade level from the Clan, but quite a few in lower years in the high school; having been born after they parents had come to this safe place to live and grow up.

Zuran, however, felt his eyes widen and blushed a bit at what was said. "B-but ... I'm a ... and he's a ..." Zuran had thought people in this country were mostly agaisnt that sort of thing. To hear people talking about it teasingly made his 'job' easier ... but also a bit more embarrassing. "I'll try to be less ... like a new guy then ..." he sighed, looking up when the teacher started writing on the board. Oh ... numbers ... He glared at a badly-written 4 before pulling out his notes and a pencil. At least he could have lunch after this.

Zuran slowly blinked. Too peaceful for ... but ... Minato and Cain definitely smell like--Oh, right! Human's couldn't smell half as well as they could invent things. He listened curiously to the small talk as half the class paid attention and the other half gossiped, but the teacher didn't seem to care. Though, hearing the girl mentioned the vampire having a love interest ... well, judging by the way he had been looking out the window, this non-human could hazard a guess. "Oh ... was it that one person kept staring out the window at this morning? In his brother's gym class?" He threw the tidbit out. It was good to give information out--or partial info out, anyway--and see what guesses and reactions were given back.

He wouldn't be going after the vampire, though he was nice enough and more than prime mate material--how many pure-blood vampires were around? Not even a dozen, where Zuran was from--but he wanted to look around more. He had been sent here--far from home and blood relatives--to get himself a good, strong-blooded mate. Personally, the Chinese Dragon hoped for a Dragon from here, but there wasn't too much luck of that. A clan werewolf would do just as well, seeing as his breed of dragon could always use more shapeshifter in their gene pool.

Zuran shrugged, not giving any more hints. It had seemed quite obvious to him, but then again he was an outsider with an unbiased view of things. Sometimes, that helped with clarity. "Perhaps you could ask Minato himself," the incognito dragon suggested. The first bit of math they were learning today was very easy. First-day basics. Even Zuran wasn't having much trouble keeping up with it. Though he had scented a few other werewolves around, the only vampire he'd seen was Minato. Perhaps he could still scent a dragon sometime during the rest of the day ... Though, right now just fitting in and getting used to the swing of things was his top priority.

Cain was enjoying his own, first-day-of-French class; things weren't too bad, and between himself and the other werewolf, it was pretty fun. Nothing trouble-worthy; just sharing summer gossip and making the usual 'oh you animal you' jokes.

Zuran listened curiously, following the two as they went towards the lunch room--basically following them because he didn't know the way and Minato had already gone ahead of them--and listening some more to their guesses. It would be so easy to hint that 'what if the brother ... is the crush?' but he kept it to himself. He didn't think giving away such information would be a good thing to do, seeing as he'd only just made friends with the vampire. Better to wait and see.

Cain, his class being closer to the lunch room, had already claimed a table with the wolf from his French class. Seeing his brother walk in, Cain waved him over, grinning. "Hey!" He discreetly took a sniff, chuckling. "You must've have had a ball painting; you smell like a canvas all over!" he teased, letting Minato sit next to him, though he didn't forget to wave Minato's friends and the new guy over too. He pulled out his meat-on-meat sandwich, taking a big bite.

Zuran took the seat to the side, across from the other wolf--Vin--and introduced himself, pulling out a box. Inside the box, he had a very neat array of sushi laid out, along with a pair of chopsticks for himself (for the small square of rice he had).

Cain chuckled at Minato making a mess of his face, though he wasn't half as awed by Zuran's lunch as everybody else. Instead he used his finger to wipe off a bit the vampire missed, wiping the avocado off on a napkin. Though, if it had been blood, he would've felt free in licking the stuff right off of Minato's face, like when they were kids. Well ... perhaps not in public. But he still would've cleaned up the other using a finger and licked the blood up. Meat and the red stuff went together pretty well, after all.

Zuran blushed at all of the attention. "Uh ... This is tuna. Some yellow-tail. Most of it is fish. Though, there's a few raw slices of beef too. The rice is, clearly, rice." He looked at Jason, smiling a little. "Yes. Mandarin ... or Chinese to most folks. How did you know just by looking at my fish?" he asked, curious.

Cain took another large bite of his sandwich, looking enviously at the small strips of raw beef the smoker had. "Hm. Fresh meat with fresh meat," he commented, making Vin laugh.

"Hey; be nice," the male did manage to say though, trying to be serious.

"I am being nice; see? Wagging tail and everything," Cain answered.

Zuran was more than a little curious about Jason's response, but was too polite to ask. Maybe ... later, sometime. Though, he blinked back to attention when the vampire zeroed in on his lunch. The dragon sued his chopsticks to pick up a slice of raw fish, then a bite of bland rice to lighten the sharp flavor. "... Perhaps you would like me to make you some tomorrow," he said, taking another bite, and clearly not sharing what he had today. Zuran liked to be polite, but the look the vampire had was more like a 'I'll eat it ALL' look instead of a 'Can I have one bite?' look.

Cain laughed, putting an arm around Minato to 'hold him back.' "Hey bro, leave the poor dude's food alone!" the werewolf said, taking another bite of his sandwich. Vin laughed at it all, eating his own peanut-butter sandwich and chips; not all werewolves were meat-only like Cain.

Zuran smiled, but chuckled a little himself at Minato's hungry, then sleepy actions. He looked over at Jason when no one else was looking. "I could bring you some too. If you want." He wasn't sure how the human male would take the offer, but thought it would be polite to at least ask.

Cain smiled at Raine. "Aw, leave the kid alone. You have to admit it what makes him adorable," the were teased, ruffling Minato's light orange hair. "Besides, he can't help it. It's part of the curse of being cute." Cain sighed dramatically.

Zuran shrugged, glad the other didn't look mad at the question, at least. He continued to et, but followed Jason's surprised look. Seeing his own reflection he quickly fixed it, putting a bit more power in his shapeshifting. Darn it. He needed to smoke--and not in the addictive way. He sighed to himself, wondering how he was going to manage sneaking a cigarette on school grounds anytime soon. Perhaps before lunch finished ... he did see some students eating outside on picnic benches. Perhaps he could find a sneaky spot ... Quickly finishing his lunch, he packed the re-usable box away into the backpack then got up. "I'll see you all later; I'm going to look around a bit ... to get more used to the place," he said, then skedaddled.

Cain chuckled at his brother, but let the vampire lean on him, putting an arm around the other. He really was quite protective of his little brother. Hearing Raine's comment though, he quickly looked at her, eyes narrowed. "Really now ..." he got a scheming, murderous look. He even began scanning the cafeteria, as if daring someone to show any sort of attention for his 'defenseless' little brother.

Vin sighed, shaking his head at the girl. "You shouldn't have done that ... now he won't rest until the poor fool is castrated. Or mince-meat," the werewolf sighed sadly. Neither fate pleasant.
