Ghaleon wasn't really sure what he should be saying, he felt rather annoyed with Rose's sister.. but well it was Rose's sister and he himself didn't feel like he had a right to say anything bad about her. Though he did feel the sister was ether extremely jealous.. or simply didn't take the time out of her own life to be more out going.
He could understand that to a degree, Ghaleon was extremely bookish and he simply lucked out that Rosewood had started a conversation with him. If she hadn't there was a fairly good chance they never would have really met. But that would have been his own fault for not taking his nose out of the books himself.. Rose had a very out going personality so it made sense that she had a lot of friends and knew people fairly well. If her sister kept to herself then she had no one else to blame but herself, no matter how much she might have wanted to blame others.
Ghaleon took a breath.. he wanted to say something but he wanted to make sure he didn't cross any lines by accident while doing so. "Well I'm sorry that it brought up bad memories, though I can't be helped in saying that you look fantastic when you do." He smiled lightly "And while I don't pretend to know your sister in the least, perhaps and you can tell me if I'm wrong of course.. but if it bothers her so much that you seem to be getting more attention then maybe she's just to shy to really put herself forward?" He said, he wasn't sure if he should be saying any of this or how it was coming out. "I mean from my own experience I was rather shy and secluded myself until that say you spoke to me. Maybe your sister just needs to find a way to start conversations with new people? I always felt that was how you always knew people or made friends with others, you have a very cheerful outgoing personality." He said with a smile again now, hoping he'd made a little bit of sense.
He was annoyed at Rose's sister for making her feel bad. But he imagined that perhaps she just blamed Rose because it was easier than blaming herself. He could be wrong though, as he said he didn't know Rose's sister in the slightest.
"Of course if I'm completely wrong or if I've crossed the line by saying any of that... feel free to pretend I didn't say anything...except the compliments I gave you, you can remember those ether way." He said trying to make a small joke in hopes of lightening the mood some.

Thoughts:His parents are...interesting...I like them!
Rose face broke out into a large grin."Don't worry...Im not offended,I know Mary is a little well,overly obsessed with how the world sees her,she is my sister and I love her more then anything in the whole world.Even that stuffed unicorn I won at that muggle street fair.But I shouldn't be talking...I am pretty concerned about how I look.Vain is probably the word for it,sorry to say.You always wonder why ask you how I look before I walk out of a place?That is why,being sisters we have similar traits.She isn't really stereotypically shy...just not overly talkative, bodacious and bubbly like me.The only reason her words hurt so much is because.I've actually always though she was gorgeous,even though I got the blue eyes and the perfect curls...I've always thought she should be a super model.She was my best friend and my idol,someone who I looked up to greatly.I used to copy her,steal clothes from her drawers in hopes of being like her.Now I think being pretty is some sort of sin,now I kind of wince when people say I am.You catch my flow right.Oh and we shouldn't be late..you don't want your dinner getting cold do you? "She said as she moved her head onto his shoulder affectionately.
Sure we are smart but where would we be without charming our teachers into good grades? See kids you don't need book smart to be a Ravenclaw... You just have to be attractive."~Rose

"Yeah I understand what your saying, I just hope it all changes for the better for the two of you is all." He said with a smile. "But yeah I do suppose we should head off to the kitchen before one of my parents come up wondering what is taking us." He spoke with some nervousness in his voice. Not that he and Rose were doing anything wrong but, it would just be odd to have one of his parents come up looking for them both.

Rose smiled. "Well it was a while ago...I am sure she is over it."She said nodding heading over to the kithen."So whats cooking,Mrs. Elmerast?"She asked almost too nonchalantly.

Ghaleon entered the kitchen along with Rose, the smell of the food could already be smelt as they descended the stairway. Taking one of the empty seats, Rose had asked what was for dinner a second before he did.
"Ah nothing to fancy dear, just steak and potatoes." Cheryl said replying to Rose. Then thought for a moment "I completely forgot to ask if you eat meat though.. rather rude of me, sorry. Do you eat meat? I could make something else for you rather quickly." She said with a smile.
Ethan was simply looking over a few notes he'd jotted down while sitting at the table.((Ah no worries, it's all good ^^))

Rose laughed."Oh don't worry...sounds brilliant.Oh I eat meat its fine.Tried being a vegitarin...didn't work out to well for me.Passed a muggle burger place and it was all over."She laughed at the memory.
Sorry I gtg...lil brother is bugging me to grt off.Uggh!

Cheryl laughed a little as they all sat down down dinner. Ethan finally looking up from whatever he had been doing previous as the meal started, and looked over so as to face Rose. "So what do your parents do for a living Rose?"
Ghaleon was rather certain he'd already told his parents such things in his letters while still at school. But leave it to his father to not remember..((Sure no worries))

Rose smiled and walked over to the table and sat down,crossing one leg over the other in a lady-like fashion.She hated having to be lady-like even though know one could see her legs under the table cloth...or was some one looking...She erased the thought when Ghaleon's dad walked in. "Good to see you are alright,Mr Ele-I mean Ethan.That sounded like a nasty explosion."She said in a comforting tone. She smiled at his question. "Oh well my mom...yeah she's a muggle.But she does know about the wizard world,considering she married my father and all.She is basically a house wife.My father works in the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes. "She replied. "What about you two.Its really good to finally meet you.Ghaleon talks about you all the time.Good things."She added with a flawless grin.

Cheryl smiled lightly "Department of Magical Accidents you say?" she said at Rose's mention of her father's job. "I expect he's herd a bit about my husband then."
"Those weren't Accidents my dear... they were breakthroughs. Breakthroughs in what I can't possibly imagine. But breakthroughs none the less. While I may not yet see the plausible use of a potion that creates a pink dust cloud with the added effect of a chipmunk coming out of your mouth, I have a belief that someday that somewhere someone will have a need for such a potion and will be extremely glad to know there is as of today one in existence thanks in no small part to my experiments." Ethan said with some pride behind his voice.
Ghaleon couldn't tell if he was joking or serious, and just gave his father a sheepish smile.
Cheryl just gave her husband a rather odd look, very possibly of disbelief and confusion, before turning back to Rose. "Well, suffice to say you've seen what my husband does. I however spend most of my days in a small wizarding doctor's office. We don't tend to get anything so serious that you'd see in Saint Mungos. But we do get the bizarre occurrence or two along with those that just aren't feeling well." She finished with a smile. "But what about you dear? I know my little Ghaleon seems to be having some trouble choosing at the moment, though I expect he'll have his pick of the crop by the time he finishes Hogwarts. Certain he'll have a nice paying job, certainly one that could pay for a family of his own."
Ghaleon nearly choked at that last sentence, he hadn't expected to hear that from his mother. No.. well no, he did expect her to say something like that eventually he supposed. But certainly not day one of her meeting Rosewood.
"But, what about you? Do you have any idea what you'd like to do after Hogwarts dear?" Cheryl finished.( I'm having a harder time pinning down Cheryl's personality I think. Rather certain I've got a good hold on Ethan's though =P )

Rose smiled. "Maybe I should ask him.I am sure my dad might."She smiled. She laughed at Ethan's comment. "Don't worry,Mr Elmer-..I mean Ethan,I am sure that your potions will be useful one day. If I am even in need of an instant mouth-chipmunk or a pink dust cloud...I will call you."She smiled kindly.Rose's eye's lit up. "Your a medi-wizard!? That is bloody fantastic!Must be a skilled healer."She said happily.She allowed herself to blush lightly trying to restrain herself from anything larger. "H-h-haha. I am sure he is up for some great things.Smart as a whip and just all around amazing that why I lov-...like him so much."She said,blushing harder avoiding the "l" word for any awkward parent moments,ruffling up his blue hair with her hand,playfully. "Me?Oh well,I have always like the though of helping people...healing seemed like the best way.And well...really if Hogwarts ever has an open nursing position i'd be up for it..that is if Headmistress Nikolai allows me too.Wouldn't want her to have too much on her hands."She said remembering the last time she had seen her in the Hospital Wing...she had visited 2 times...no 3 times.That woman was a true hero.

Cheryl easily noticed Rose's near slip up but was kind enough not to say anything. Instead she focused on Rose's possible future job, it was always nice to see another person willing to go down the road of healing others. "I'm certain you'll make a fantastic healer Rose. If you ever want any pointers, or if Hogwarts doesn't have a position avalible at the time I'm certain I can find a few old friends that could give you a job with training." She said with a smile.
Ethan was also glad to see someone seemed interested in his works, as bizzare as they could be at times.
Ghaleon really didn't know where to jump in during the conversation Rose was having with his mother, simply taking one of her hands out of sight under the table. He'd missed having her close, though oddly he was thankful school would soon be coming back. As nice as it was to see her during the sumemr he actually felt they got to spend more time at Hogwarts than out of it.

Ghaleon spoke up at Rose's question. "Ah well we usually go to the town on Sunday's, Mom tends to know the areas a bit better than me or dad though considering she works in the area. We don't have to many muggle things around the house but we did see a few movies, and things like that. Nothing to huge this summer though, I think we may try and save for a trip next year. No clue where to though, kinda depends on what dad can make and get the stores to start selling."
"Rather certain I'm on the verge of a gold mine, trust me, by this time next year we'll have so much money that we'll be going to three different countries just for the sheer heck of it." Ethan said rather confidently. Ghaleon just gave his father a supportive smile, he knew his dad was good at what he did. He just wasn't certain he'd be making quite that much money is all.
