Well, when you're one warring entity (Rotto; possibly a Scion, possibly simply a demon? Either way, one third of him is Eidolon (Saisei), one third is Aeon (Selter), and one third is human (Shane)) split up into three different souls, stability isn't exactly a virtue. xD
Shane is the ultimate medium; he's always been neutral. Now if he were to turn to one side, how would the third side fair? It'd be all alone against its own self, twice in number and power. It'd die from within.

Well, they weren't born together. Selter and Shane both simply made deals with Rotto, which inevitably bound their souls to him. Saisei had to make the deal by default, seeing as how he was just a fragment of Shane at the time. But when he was freed and took his child-like form, it stuck.
So inevitably, they're all pawns of Rotto, but none of them save for Selter knows it. If Saisei did, he'd probably kill himself or beg for Cosmos to break his bond of servitude.
But anyway, yeah. I plan to have Rotto make a biiig impact on the three of them, which may, in the end, lead to death.
Anyways, John was Rotto's first pawn (and his creator, thanks to his disturbing experiments), and the reason he came to Shane to die was because he didn't wanna live that life anymore.
If he knew Shane himself had fallen under his influence, he would've slaughtered he, Selter and Saisei, one by one. He sees him as a possible world-shattering threat.

Hold up, Selter's not an Aeon. He doesn't even have one attached.
He can be a part of Shane's soul, but the whole he gets strong and Saisei gets weak isn't going to work. Saisei is a divine being, not a part of a human soul, he's attached to Shane, and he's influenced by Shane, but he's not Shane's "good" side.
Now Saisei can get corrupted, which is what I was thinking of having happening. So the Rotto thing will work brilliantly. Also, as an Eidolon, there are only a few ways that he can be killed. And none of them are accessible by mortal means.
Also Rotto isn't a Scion, he's merely a man-created demon. I already stated once that there are only three Scions.

I was just brainstorming. lol
Plus, didn't we agree sometime before that Selter had an Aeon? Or that Rotto may have been an Aeon? Or sooomething like that?
But aw, I wanted Saisei to become as lively as your average cancer patient while Selter becomes super strong.
Hey, it could still work, after all, I made Rotto, I know what he can and can't do, and binding spirits could work out marvelously
And no, Saisei wouldn't be Shane's light side, moreso Rotto's only light-sided servant
He'd have three pawns to carry out a complete balance, and if that balance was broken by any of the three, it'd mean chaos.
Plus, I never said Saisei would die, just be dy-ing, as in very very sick.

I think that we were discussing an Aeon or Eidolon for him, but we couldn't agree on one that fit him so it was scrapped. Overpowering him was the other reason, but I'll have to see if I can find the pms that it was discussed in.
I remember you had wanted Shiva for him, but she wasn't on the list.
Ah, I see. (I was just going to have him pretty much rape Odin and do a couple of other things that show he was falling, but lethargy works too).
