It was one of the lesser temple priests, dispatched at the order of the high priest. After eavesdropping on the conversation, he told himself "I must notify the high priest about this."
STP said to Jackie "I'd better lead the way. If the tribe sees you alone I don't know what they'll do."

The scout returns to the temple and notifies the high priest of what he observed, adding "What do you plan on having waiting for them, if you can tell me?"
STP said "We'll have to wait until the darkest part of night to make our move. In the meantime, let's return to my hut"

Jackqueline nodded and followed STP to his hut, "Do you think we should pack up some supplies before we leave? Like food or something so we're prepared?"
The high priest sneered and replied, "If you must know, I plan to have the linkx await them in the forest!" The high priest grinned, the linkx was the most ferocious monsters that the tribe had ever come across. It was almost impossible to defeat and it usually killed it's victims gruesomly. There was no way those two runaways could stand a chance.

STP responded "Yes, some essential supplies, but we must travel light, for we want to be inconspicuous as possible."
The scout responded "Ah, good plan, your highness. That will show them not to mess with the natural order of things."

Jackqueline nods and replies, "Then we should get started. Since it's night now, we can get going immediately!"
The high priest sneers, "Did I ask for your approval?! Leave my sight before I send you to the same fate as the runaways!"

With that, the scout promptly left the room.
STP grabs a few provisions and then sneaks out from the hut, keeping close to the treeline to minimize the chance of detection.

(By the way, did you notice the new topic I created in the root of the guild forum? I'm trying to advertise my ongoing Sonamy fanfic to an audience who actually know who Sonic and Amy are, but so far I don't think anyone noticed.)
They continue walking and soon come to the hunting trail in question. Gently grabbing Jackqueline's wrist, STP says "This is it...we must creep ever so slowly along this path to avoid detection."

(I noticed, though I don't think a lot of people are going to post, sad sadly a lot of guild members just aren't online anymore. I even fnd it hard to just log on.)
Jackqueline nodded her head in reply and crept behind STP.

(That's unfortunate. sad I've thought about leaving this guild and joining another that is more active, but I don't want to be the one to put the nail in the coffin.)
Meanwhile the high priest is watching the scene remotely and says "And they're sure to run into my surprise any minute now... twisted "

(It's sad really, I don't want to leave gaia behind but roleplaying was the only thing that kept me interested and now it's not so fun anymore beause most everyone has left and I found other ways and sites to roleplay at. It's not really about a metaphorical nail in a metaphorical coffin though I would just feel bad to leave so many people hanging.)
The Linkx crept behind them silently, stalking insignifigant prey, ready to strike whenever the opportunity presented itself.
Jackqueline felt her hair stand on end on the nape of her neck, "Uh, STP?" she whispers, "I don't feel so confident about this..."
