Josh blinked. He saw the picture in his head; a picture of them kissing. What the hell? He shook his head. That wasn't right. It... It was her. She was ******** with his head... Well, it wasn't that easy. His power was one of the mind, as well... With strained effort, he shook his head again, and clenched his fist. Focusing very hard on her lungs. Squeezing the air out, and not letting her breathe. Only for a minute, to prove a point. She would be light-headed and might even pass out, but she'd recover. Because even as much as he wanted to believe it didn't have an effect on him- he no longer wanted to hurt her. While he wasn't anywhere close to madly in love with her, he certainly wouldn't have her killed. Unless, of course, she forced him.

The moment the kick landed, Josh was free. He recovered almost instantly from the blow, and stepped back quickly, smirking. "Bad move, babe." He held his hand up; around him, chunks of cement and asphalt broke away from the street and hovered behind him. He pointed at the girl, launching the stones at her like bullets. Only much, much bigger. His powers may have been uncontrolled, dangerous... but they were extremely powerful. And this fight was making him mad... Which meant that any second now, things would randomly start blowing up. Just like the mailbox.

"And you're more annoying," Josh replied, grinning in return. Of course, he was face-down so the gesture was probably lost. But, he wasn't about to be rendered helpless by being pinned down on the ground. Hell, he didn't need his body to fight. He began laughing, as he picked himself up. Off the ground, into the air. With her on top of him, as if they were weightless. And held himself there, more than likely giving himself the appearance of flying. The more powerful she thought he was, the better. He really only had one power; he could just figure out how to use it in different ways. And right now, he was 'flying'... He could keep it up for a minute, maybe two. But if she held on, that was all he would need.

"Just one," He said, grinning. Her amazement tickled him pink. And while he didn't go too high, only about thirty feet, that was all he needed. She had held on; she had cemented her doom. "Beat me into the ground, will you? Take me out all on your lonesome?" He asked, pushing her off and holding her in the air a few feet from him. "Not on your life." He cackled, tossing her up about twenty more feet. "One suggestion? Don't think about pancakes!" He shouted, laughing as she plummeted to the earth below. At a fall of fifty feet, she wouldn't die... Probably just break a few bones. That'd teach her to screw around with his brain.

Josh dropped to the ground, as well- not landing hard, though. He landed clumsily, awkwardly; like a giant, featherless bird just dropped from the nest. But he stood, proud of his momentary accomplishment; he'd taken on a worthy opponent and won. It felt good to win- didn't really feel that good to drop a girl from fifty feet. Amusing, since she deserved it, messing in his head and all. But it left an odd twinge in his stomach; guilt, perhaps? He shook it away. Guilt had no place in a world like this.
