Yang gazed upon the moving water, she understood nothing, but he was sure he could do what was necessary against another human to retrieve the pendant, then it struck him.

The very reason the spirits had engaged in this act was their distrust of humans, why would the spirits then listen to this woman...princess or not they would not. They would simply wait to see who eliminated whom to strike, before this Yang would have to retrieve the item he came to this land to seek.

Yang placed the sword in the earth directly in front of him and stood still the lake separating the princess and him self placing his feet shoulder length apart his left arm rose above his head, Yang bringing it down and curving it to his face, a black trail of lightning forming as he did, his father's technique. He did the same with his other hand and brought them both to the center of his body, he zoned in on the princess and the movement of the tentacles, just as one would clear her body he made his strike, thrusting his right hand forward his index and middle fingers together and extended outwards.

The black lightning surged forward in a straight path as if a bullet, aiming not for the heart of the princess as the deathly blow was taught but just past her face just under her right ear, Yang aiming for the ice wall behind her. The lightning struck the wall in a thunderous clash, the ice shattering and breaking away from the wall, a large sheet falling towards the princess.

Yang would use this distraction to make a run, dashing low aiming once more to retrieve the pendant.

Yang slid to a halt as the Koizilla appeared once more, the princess had shown weakness, and though the spirits had a devotion to the people their devotion was first and foremost to the spirits. They were going to turn on her.

Yang redirected himself and ran toward the princess, the Koizilla, now large and containing both fish held the ice sheet above its head and prepared to slam it down on her head, "Move!" said Yang as he ran diving towards her to push her out of the way.

Yang rolled in the grass then jumped to his feet looking at the giant shape. "The Spirit...it will kill us both if we can't prove our worth." Yang looked to the being.

"Our worth..." he said quietly. As he thought about it, what did this fish want for worth. It was going to crush the woman but when Yang sacrificed himself it stopped and instead threw the ice away. When Yang attacked the girl the fish grew into it's spirit form and aimed to crush them both.

The necklace belonged to a healer, that was it! The spirit, the peaceful dance of Yin and Yang. What the spirit desired, what the truth of this test was...was peace.

Yang turned to the princess and bowed to her dropping down to his knees and bowing as the water tribe tradition was, "I am sorry Princess, I intruded on sacred ground, I desire the object for a purpose, I will not fight with you for it, I only wish to explain why I need it."

Yang looked to her, then the fish, then back to her, they had calmed. Seemed peace was the key with this spirit. Yang couldn't help but think about what all these task would have to be in order for him to achieve his goal, but first he would have to focus on the task at hand.

"L-Let me ask you," said Yang as his nervousness around women overtook his adrenaline rush while everything calmed, "Where is the current Avatar?"

Yang stood as he attempted to speak. He cursed his nervousness and the fact that every single woman he had run into was unnecessarily attractive. He took a deep breath shook the majority of the water from his hair and spoke.

"E-exactly n-n-nobody does. These i-items were given p-power from the spirits, even Twi and La" he gestured to the fish, "After the war which occured during the absence of an Avatar. These items w-w-were given powers...W-w-w-we need t-them now for..." Yang thought threw everything, he wouldn't be able to even attempt to understand his purpose, he could only make a ploy, "...i-i-in order to prevent another war."

Yang's red eyes met her own, he needed to find a way to get that object and take it with him if he were ever to open the gate to the Spirit World.

Yang looked up surprised. He wasn't sure what to say next and his blood red eyes looked surprised enough to show it. While true he needed the pendant and he couldn't carry it because of the blade, he wasn't sure about traveling with a woman, he didn't know if his heart could take it.

He sighed and looked to the ground his face turning beet red, "U-u-u-um...o-o-okay...b-but" he pointed to the pendant, "Only if you can grasp that object!"

Yang looked to the side lowering his eyes, half of him wished that she hadn't managed to grab the necklace. It would seem that he was in for a long journey. Yang stood and turned to her taking a deep breath he extended his hand. "Y-Yang Kaido,"

Yang looked at her as she grabbed his hand, his stare seemed near blank, then without warning his face turned beet red, his skin warming, even his grasped handshake would seem to get hotter.

He turned and walked towards the exit clearing his throat, "Well then I suppose we should embark, The next item on the list has to be found," really he was trying to find a way out of the situation he wasn't quite ready to deal with, being around a woman.
