Nathaniel looked out into the distance. A large dust cloud was rising, five men on horses riding towards the town from Dast. He watched as they got closer, seeing that they were military men. What could they want? They stopped, "We're looking for a young man named Larson and a young woman named Narsha." Nathaniel shook his head, "I don't know either of them." The man glared at him and signaled to the other men, riding off again. He wasn't sure what these men wanted with Narsha, but he didn't like them. After they were out of sight, he ran off to warn her...

Makia came up behind Iso, tapping her shoulder. "Hey, I just got a wonderful idea. Feel like taking out the whole camp? I mean.. an army that can't defeat two girls isn't fit to live."

Narsha was in the back when Nathaniel climbed through the back window, out of breath and red in the face. "Honey, what's wrong with you?"

"Men.." he panted, trying to breath. "Military men... from Dast.. looking for you and Larson..."

Narsha's heart started racing and she went out to find Larson. When she explained what Nathaniel had said, Larson's eyes grew wide.

"I knew they'd be looking for me.. but I didn't know they'd find me so quickly. Narsha.. I killed to men from the army when they tried to recruit me. It was the only way I could get away."

"Oh no.. quick, get in the back. Excuse me! Everyone, I have to run off and fix something. Nathaniel will be helping out around here though." She walked quickly to the back, Nathaniel already putting an apron on. "Thank you so much.."


"Fine fine, but I wanna kill 'em.." She walked off and found a group of men sitting around a fire. She sat down with them, smiling at their bewildered looks. "Boys.. I'm bored. Would you be so kind as to entertain me?"

Larson and her ran upstairs so Narsha could grab a few things. Her bow and quiver were her priority, a cape and money pouch came next. Grabbing a sack, she put in a few loaves of bread and a water pouch. "Okay, Larson, are you ready to go?"

He had just stared, amazed that she was going to help him escape. "Yeah.. I just.."

"It's okay. Let's go."


Playing along, she giggled. "Yeah.. what do you guys do for fun around here?" Killing men was always fun, but tricking them first with a.. well, not friend, but another death addicted creature was great.

Narsha guided Larson into a dense forest a few miles into Sedian land. Not wanting to be easily found by anything, she found some big branches for them to sleep on and split a loaf of bread. "I'm going to take you to my grandparents house.. They'll take care of you."


Larson only nodded. Slowly eating, he stared off into space. Not only was he a murderer and a deserter.. he'd dragged his favorite cousin and her family into the mess.

Makia smiled, "I can do that." She got up wrapped her arms around Iso's neck, giggling. "Come on guys. If we get bored, we'll have to entertain ourselves..."

Narsha let Larson sleep first. He seemed depressed and she wanted him to rest. She stayed awake in the moonlit forest, watching the croud and listening to the creatures of the night live their lives..

Makia was startled at first, but then got into it, kissing Iso back. Her lips tasted of blood, sending shivers down her spine. Some hoots and hollers came from the men around the fire, calling their friends over to see the show.

Nasha's shift went by uneventful, and when shewoke Lason, she quickly fell into an uncomfortable slumber.

Larson stared at the sky most of night, unable to get the guilty feeling in the pit of his stomach to go away. At one point, he heard a branch crack and looked down, seeing a familiar man with a familiar symbol painted on his cape. He nodded and went back to staring at the sky, trying to forget about the Dast rogue below.

She was getting uncomfortable now, but let Iso go for it. If one of them was enjoying it, it would be more believable. Glancing over, she saw at least half of the whole camp was gathered there, staring. Lust burned bright in the mens fire-lit eyes, but Makia wasn't worried. After her father, no man had ever touched her and lived...

Makia smiled, "I think I'll find my own "lover". She pulled out of Iso's arms and sat in the closest man's lap, smiling sweetly at him. "How about you? Feel lucky?"
