"Alright men! And...Er... Woman. Maeri has sent his orders to capture Vlarto, our goal now, take out the city's main building to discoordinate their attacks, afterwards-" Just over the horizon a small army had begun gathering, most of their ranks full of bandits and a few knights, Iso among them. She was also the only female, but she never really paid any mind to her superiors.
"Yeah yeah, I'll see you all in town," Iso turned and walked off, giving a half-assed wave as she left the gathering behind, not even turning to see their reaction.
"Oi! You! Back here!" Banid didn't know who this girl was, but he wasn't going to be disrespected by her. When she refused to turn to his beckoning he decided he ought to turn to more drastic measures, "Seize her."
"ATTENTION!" Another rally was being held in town, Sir Karlene was heading it for the first time in ages... It's good to see battle again... "Men! None of you have seen battle before, not in years! Now, we will find to defend what is rightfully ours! Those of you who think you can handle it, you may stay, those of you who are weaklings! Step out of line now!" Two men stepped out of the line and snuck out ashamed, "Good! Now, take your positions, they will be here by morn!"
The men scrambled to grab their armor and take up their planned positions. Sir Karlene himself headed to the watchtower to survey the land, his own sword in hand, tomorrow was going to be a long day...

Narsha had just finished wiping down the last table in the tavern when the first customer of the day came through the door. "Goodmorning Sal! The usual?" Sal was a storyteller who sat by the fireplace all hours of the day, entertaining anyone who would listen. He smiled and nodded, taking up his place in the corner of the room. Narsha went into the kitchen and brought a sweetened bowl of porridge, patting Sal on the back as she set it down.
The tavern was her life. She'd lived in the village her whole life, and when her parents died, she inherited the popular building. It was a little tiresome, but the people of the town were always willing to help when she needed it...
Makia looked down from a high tree at the army gathering below her. Large gatherings of this sort always interested her. Violence excited her greatly, a shiver rushing down her spine at just the thought of a war breaking out.
As she watched, a girl.. probably the only girl in the whole crowd, walked off. She giggled, liking the rebellious attitude of the stranger. She decided to keep watching. Maybe she'd join them..

Iso stopped at this and turned around, her vision flickered and her mind went fuzzy as her mood quicly shifted, her eyes going from a light blue to a captivating soft grey.
One man stepped out of the crowd but she stepped back towards them and up to Banid, placing her hands on his chest, feeling him grow tense underneath her touch, growing wary, "Now you wouldn't hurt me would you? I'm the only fun you boys have..."
The wind changed direction, it carried a scent of flame... Not again... The kids down the alley were setting fires to the livestock again. Sir Karlene came down from his post and sent one of his guards to go bring them in, he was going to have a word with them, if not with their parents.

Midday brought a whole new wave a customers. The tavern was unusually busy today. Narsha sighed, wishing she could sit down for a moment. "Narsha!" A young man in a blacksmiths outfit called from the doorway, waving. Narsha smiled at the sight of Nathaniel. He was a few years younger than her, and fancied her quite a bit. He was always willing to help.
She embraced him pleasantly, "Please tell me you can stay for a while. I really need some help."
"Of course. Let me go get washed up." His heart fluttered gently at the sight of Narsha, even if she was a little sweaty and flushed.
Narsha watched Nathaniel hurrying off to the kitchen, shaking her head. A man called for her and she sighed again, turning to serve him.
"Oh! She's a catch." Makia's eye's twinkled with delight at the scene playing out underneath her. This woman was someone she needed to meet. She'd wait till she could get her alone though. These men were pathetic and she'd rather not associate herself with them.

"Heh... Maybe not. A lot of the guys have been bored..." One of his hands reached up and cupped her face as her hand trailed down his chest, over his stomache, "Hey hey, you're a frisky one," He smiled wider, but didn't stop her.
Frisky... Lower, past his hips...
Banid's face went pale as he collapsed. The men around him just stared in disbelief and confusion. What just happened?
The guard returns with reports of only a nearby tavern burning their trash. It wasn't a big offense, but it was bothersome. He'd go down and see what could be done about it.
Karlene left his post and headed out of the courtyard of the city's center, all too quickly arriving at the alleyway. There he could see a man tossing scraps and garbage into a brickoven, "Sir? Your oven is creating quite an awful stench. I'll need you to find another way of burning your garbage, perhaps making a trip to the outskirts every so often and burning it? Or the Collection down the road would work."

The tavern stayed busy most of the day and Narsha barely had even a few seconds to herself. It was rather uneventful too. The people seemed.. tense. At one point, while serving a table of travelers from Sedia, she couldn't help but hear what they were saying..
"Well of course there will be a war. You don't march armies into a country without a war breaking out. The question is, how big an outbreak will it be."
Narsha felt her heart skip. She'd heard about small battles breaking out every once in a while.. but war?"
Makia giggled with delight and dropped from the tree, not wanting to wait. She skipped over to the strange girl and smiled. "You are an interesting creature indeed. I like you." There was something about this girl. They'd make a great team.. if she didn't pull anything funny.

Mood: Bubbly Eye color: Light Green Iso's mood shifted once again, her eyes flickering to a bright green. She turned around to face the newcommer, more like spun then turning.., "Well hi!! Where'd you come from?? The sky?! Beautiful place to come from!"
The group behind her dropped their jaw, a unanimous opinion forming... She just killed him... Now she's.. Bouncy?
Banid's body just lay there, and she couldn't have that. Iso hoped that she didn't mind as she turned to an emtpy one horse cart and drug Banid to it, toassing him in the back before turning back to her, holding her hands in front of her and twisting, left, right, left right...The man glanced up at Karlene, and stood. The knight took that as a confirmation and turned walking back out of the alley without giving him so much as a chance to speak, heading back up into the courtyard.
Once up there, he beckoned to one of the guards to fetch him a drink, and that he'd be up at the watchtower. It was a cool sunny day, but nonetheless, their armor was bulky and hot.

The tavern was finally slowing down, men going back to their work or fields. Narsha took a seat at the bar, stretching. Nathaniel slid a mug of water in front of her. "Thanks. And thank you for the help. I needed it." She saw him blush slightly and smile. "It was no problem. I like coming in here." It was silent for a few moments before Narsha cleared her throat. "Nathaniel? Do you.. know anything about a war?" A grunt came from the corner, Sal standing and making his way to the bar.
"Ah, the war... yes." He looked to Nathaniel, who slid him some ale. "I've heard some stories from many a traveler.."
"Tree actually. No flying for me." She stared curiously on the figure in front of her, not sure what to make of her sudden mood change. She walked around her, looking her up and down. "Come back to the tree with me?"

Mood: Bubbly Eye color: Light Green "I could, but I don't quite think this horse'll fit in here.." She frowned and looked at the cart, then back to her, "Why not? Let's go!" She giggled and walked over to the tree, hopping onto a low branch then up to a higher one. By this point the men who had been watching turned back to camp and went to look for the second in command, unsure of what to do themselves...A few minutes later, a young man showed up with a beer, Karlene thanked him and grabbed himself a chair, kicking back and relaxing... Now just to wait for those cowards to arrive...

Narsha listened to Sal talk about the two kings and their differences, the history of battles and fights, and finally the recent activities of either countries armies. It was all so interesting... and scary. She'd never paid a lot of attention to the problems if either kingdom. Their town was really a neutral zone, so they didn't really worry about the affairs of the rest of the continent. But a war.. this would be sure to affect everyone.
Makia skipped after her and leaped up the tree gracefully. Sitting on a branch, one leg dangling down, she watched the girl. "So.. I'm Makia. Depending on who's asking, I'm a lot of different things." She paused, "What, exactly, are you?"

Mood: Bubbly Eye color: Light Green "I'm Iso, an elf!" She giggled again and swung her legs, glancing at the cart below, making sure no animals were pecking at the body, "And you? You don't look like an elf!"Karlene sat up and glanced over the horizon, the men looked like they were retreating... A few moments later, a scout confirmed it.
The knight gathered his troops and sent them home, calling off the attack. Good, I wasn't planning on staying up the whole night...

After Sal and Nathaniel had left and Narsha had finished cleaning up everything, she went upstairs and made herself some tea. It'd been an interesting day. "Maybe I should write my uncle..." He in Dast, but she wanted to make sure he was alright. He was never one for violence, but he'd join an army if asked. Would he really go to war?
"Not what I meant.. but I'm a fairy." she grinned, getting up and dancing from branch to branch. She loved trees.. "I wanted to know, what did you do down there? It's.." she turned and stared at her again, cocking her head, "fascinating."

Mood: Devastated Eye color: Icy White "I...Killed him?" Iso's eyes were suddenly blurry again, both from another mood shift and tears... She was almost instantly bawling, "I killed Banid? I-I can't have..." Killing people? How do you justify that? I killed someone! With my own hands...Karlene smiled to himself as he arrived at his home, crawling into bed with his wife, "Cowards..."
"What's that?" His wife turned to him, unsure what he said.
"Nothing nothing, goodnight dear." He leaned in and kissed her softly, pulling the blankets up.
"Goodnight."

Dear Uncle, I hope all is well with you and the family. I am well. The tavern is doing wonderful, and young Nathaniel still comes around to help when he can. He's growing to be a fine young man. I only egret that I don't have the same feelings for him as he shows to me. My reason for writing to you is somewhat distressful. There has been talk of war. Armies are already being formed. What do you know of this? Are you to fight? I do hope a war is not needed. If you do fight, your family is always welcome to come and stay with me. I have more than enough room, and I would love to have company. Please write back soon. All my love and well wishes, Your niece, Narsha
Makia raised an eyebrow, "What, you don't remember?" Was there something wrong with her. She certainly was interesting. "You stood there, put your hands on his hips, and then he fell over. How do you now remember that?"
