"Its not me controlling the storm anymore..." Eragon could barely get the words out because he was exhausted. The storm had become wild with lightning flashing everywhere. The storm was gonna be short, but it was still growing more vicious. Lightning hit the ground around where they stood. "Take cover" Eragon yelled just as he was struck by a bolt. He fell to the ground without another word.

Inferno's gun followed Brophy carefully as he walked around him and stood by Eragon. He lowered both his guns slowely. It wasn't until Eragon was hit by a lightning bolt that he realized this storm was created by means of magick. <******** me... Eragon had said to take cover, but there was no such thing as taking cover from a lightning bolt in a forest. He spun his head around quickly. "Gilvan, blow us a bubble, now!"
It took a short moment for Gilvan to interpret it, but he understood exactly what Inferno wanted. Without hesitation, he reached into his pack sitting next to him, and pulled out the white orb after taking a quick swig of the whisky. "Ain't notin gonna interrupt a man drinkin goodt whiske from back home." The orb floated from his hand and a white aura started to protrude from it. This aura quickly expanded and formed a dome over the party. "One bubble blown ta pefecttion, commanda."

Beni quickly realized what was going on. He grabbed his sword in a panic and ran toward the rest of the group for cover. "What the hell? This is...probably...the strangest thing I've seen so far. Where do you get all this stuff? You carry around--what--fifty pounds worth of stuff everywhere as if you know you're going to need it? What's up with that?"
Brophy remained quiet. Beni was good entertainment.

Eragon laid on the ground energized and dazed. His energy had been partially returned by the pure energy of the bolt of lightning. He had emitted his own energy to attract the lightning to give the others time to escape. He quickly sat up and wished he hadn't cause he instantly became dizzy. The lightning hadn't knocked him out, but the energy was so intense that he collapsed at the intensity of it all. Eragon saw everyone was safe and the storm was subsiding. He instantly realized what had happened and started to explain. "I'm sorry about that. I tried to create a magnetic field to repel bullets in case things got outta hand and it seems that some of my powers have evolved because of the demon merging with my physical body. So i will have to hold off on that power again till I learn to control it." Eragon walked out of the bubble for the storm had subsided, but it appeared that some trees had caught fire. Eragon knew Garth was low on energy, so he was happy to see that the trees were secluded from the other trees. He walked up to Inferno and asked "Where to from here commander..." as if nothing had happened.

Gilvan touched the white orb with his hand, and as he did so, the barrier fell, the aura collapsed, and the orbs glow slowely faded away. "Where I get it from? boy, if i had a memre like at, I'd be in for some trouble eh? I'm sure you rememba Roura tellin us we needed to take em with us, the commanda's got the black one, an I got the white one. Ain't that right, commanda?" He placed the orb into his pack and sealed it back up.
Inferno almost forgot about the black orb he had in his pack. He started to remember Aroura making mention of that, and he tried to pick up the white one. He remembered he got nowhere except short term flying lessons, first class. He took the map out from his pack and unravelled it. He found their location. They were a good distance southwest from the church. They were near the outskirts of the forest on the west, but their destination was far to the north, surrounded by a natural wall of rock. He took out his personal millitary compass and checked it. The needle didn't settle in any direction. It veered north then west, then east then south. it kept repeating like this until he put it away. "Looks like we're going to do this the best way I know... the hard way." He still didn't know exactly where they were going to head, so he didn't say anything. Instead, he tilted his head to the sky, which still had thick clouds covering the sky.

"You misunderstood, Gilvan...I said where'd you get 'all' this stuff. I knew of the orb, but it got me thinking...you always have just what we need, as if you either already know, or carry around tons of stuff..." Beni stopped to think about what he was implying for a second. "...Well, I suppose you could very well afford to carry EVERYTHING we could possibly need at all times...and probably wrestle a rhino to the ground with your bare hands still carrying it all, couldn't you?" He stopped and thought about that for a moment.
"If I might suggest someting? Why not go to me place? Or yers? I'd like to meet that nice lass that left as soon as I got 'ere."

Eragon thought about what Beni said, "Hes' got a good point Gilvan. You do seem to have the right item on you all the time, but you can also carry a lot, but if we are going on a long expedition, try to bring only essentials. If you carry to much, you will slow down in combat. Even a man of your strength has his limits."
Gareon descended a dark staircase and had a sudden chill. Besides his companion, he could feel some odd presence in the room. He wasn't sure it was human..., or even alive.

Gilvan laughed. "o course, lads! Thas why I onle DO bring the essentials. If ya goin out ta extrac Roura from the city, bring a humma-tank. If ya gonna go out in a long journey with little chance a returnin, bring the goodt stuff. Ya always wanna bring the goodt stuff." Gilvan stood up, his pack still on the ground by the rock in which he had sat on. "Rememba, lads, this aint like IDSO headquartas or like summa in July, this is a realm that will eat ya an s**t ya out fast as ya mess with anythin. Rule a thumb here is ya always want ta make sure what ya bring packs enough punch ta knock somethin senseless... or somethin hard enough ta prevent it from happenin ta you in return." He finished the remnants of the bottle and stuffed it away on his belt.
Inferno thought back on their encounters in both worlds. He nodded in slight agreement, still unsure on what lied ahead. Yes, this world was dangerous, but he couldn't tell if what he brought was enough or not.

"Rule of thumb? Do you have any idea where that comes from? In the early 1900s it was legal for men to beat their wives, as long as they used a stick no wider than their thumb." Beni protested.
Brophy paused for a minute before questioning what Beni said. "And now just where would you learn something like that?"
Beni just looked back at Brophy for a moment with a surprised and confused expression. He shrugged his shoulders and gave a sheepish grin after a moment, seeing now that Brophy shook his head and gave a disapproving look.
[[P.S. Due to certain circumstances, I will no longer portray an accent at all. Just use your imagination from now on.]]

"You don't need to explain this to me Gilvan cause I was born and raised here. And the secret to this realm is not only strength, but wits and being cautious. And as for you Beni, I'm appalled you know something like that. I hope to God that you never get married cause your thumbs aren't exactly small. And now I think it's about time we started talking about why we are specifically here, in this forest? And where are we headed towards?

Inferno refered to the image of the map in his head, then looked back up to the sky. It seemed as though the clouds were clearing well, and the stars were becoming more and more visible. He then tried referring to a north star. What he found was quite strange. The brightest star was not like the others, nor was it the same type. What he thought to be the northern star shined a bright red... and was quite large for a star. He would have mistaken it for a harvest moon had he not seen the unique shape. The blackness of the night was indeed endless, but it seemed the clouds still shifted, whether naturally or not. "That way..." he said simply, pointing slowely as he squinted to see any simmilar stars. He found none though.

"Oh boy, I love it when stargazer gets us lost. Well, let's go then!" Beni said. As he ignored Eragon's comment about marriage, he realized that Eragon had quite a knack for getting ignored. As for the law in the early 1900s regarding such, that law no longer existed in present day, and furthermore, it didn't seem that any laws at all applied here. There was no apparent form of government whatsoever, aside from a possible monarchy with Shadow King as the sole ruler. Even then, he couldn't possibly keep an eye on everything, there are guaranteed places where anarchy existed. "Laws...what keeps someone from killing another right here and now? There's no punishment for murder except what the friends and family will do to you."
Brophy looked around for a moment when Beni said that. "I've got to go, speaking of which..." he immediately turned and started walking in the direction he'd indicated as where his home was.

Eragon walked quickly to catch up with Inferno and stopped in front of him. "We still haven't discussed why we are here and where we are going. You may know the plan, but it can be dangerous for any man to proceed without knowing the plan. I can't follow people on blind faith, especially when a crazed demon is inside them. Why are we out here in the Castellian Forest. This is not a place to go into unless you have good reason and knowledge of the place. And secondly, you also noticed there is something off about the red object in the air. It's not like any star i have seen. Something is going on and you and Aroura are withholding information. I am not a military man, so commander or not, you will tell me what we are doing here."
In the back of Eragons' mind, he was slowing recalling the events that had transpired so long ago. This forest held many secrets, and he was part of those secrets; and he had no intention of having those secrets being resurrected. He had spent many years of his childhood in this forest, but those years quickly came to an abrupt end when he stumbled into the wrong part of the forest. It was the day Gareon was created...

Inferno looked dead in Eragons eyes, but did not stop walking. "All you need to know is that we are heading to some kind of fortress protected by several layers of stone. If anything, that place screams attention, and knowing Tony, thats exactly where he'll be. Aroura had chosen the coordinates anyway, so If you have any problems, you can take my orb, and step right back through that portal." He stopped, opened his pack, and pulled out the orb all very quicky, as he was wasting time sitting around chatting. The orb pulsed with dark energy as he held it in his hand directly, emenating a slight aura that pulsated every two seconds. "I have no idea in hell where you originally came from, nor do i know if you're even the same problem I am, but I'm sure all will be answered in due time. You WILL not speak to me like that again, unless you enjoy the taste of .50 caliber rounds, is that clear?"

Beni looked over at Eragon inquisitively. The kind of look that begged to be followed by the question 'Could you really be that stupid?' But that wasn't really necessary at the moment. Inferno was going to deal with it, and he didn't want to be involved. "I much prefer the taste of a .38, personally." He wondered where Brophy was going. Something gave him the idea he wasn't heading home as he indicated, and that something seemed to be his sword.
