The pirate took in the not so subtle changes in the man, "Yes, this is my port of origin...yeah...The Marked Lands....home to the Marked Lands Bastion, and the triad: The Eye, the Reader, And the Sojourn. Favored Bastion of King Lydon...This is the world after the Awakening...." she stopped unsure of what else to say about her home but was in luck as White interrupted.
"You're the dragon man that Manic talks about aren't you....Valen right?" he looked to Manic, "Is that right?"
"Yeah White....this is Valen...."
"My name is White, so you can call me; White." The introduction was standard for the 15 year old indigo child, he extended a small pale hand to the drake for a handshake.

Looking the child over, Valen reaches out a hand of his own to complete the odd ritual of greeting. Careful to not slice the boys hand to ribbons with his claws, he retracts his hand once done and returns it to his side, a smirk crossing his lips. as he takes in the words before offering a reply:
"She talks about me? Hmm, I had not realized you held me in such esteem to speak of me, Manic. However, while at one point what could be said about me may have been accurate, I fear that it may no longer be so. Things have changed as you have undoubtedly noticed."

White looks between the two for a moment before turning his attention fully back to Valen with eyes seemingly much wiser then they had been a few momets ago, "You have been through a lot....."
Manic looked at white for a moment, then shook her head, disgregarding the indigo boy's obvious gifts. Prefering to rely on her pirates abilities of scouting out the most significant changes of a person, "I take it you had a run with the EIT or something along those lines mate...musta came close to death and lived to tell the tale..." She combed over his image with her eyes before meeting his with her normal grin, "You look like hell mate....And I'm afraid you've come into port, when the winds have just changed much against our favor as well"

"Close to death might be an understatement."
Valen lets a faint laugh escape his lips as he moves a hand to the heavy wrapping around one of his arms. Undoing it and pulling it away, he reveals an area of flesh seemingly rotted, the area surrounded by signs that should have been undoubtedly familiar. The same markings as the other dragon he once clashed with.
"I dont just look it, I feel like hell. As for the current tide of things here, it should prove a good distraction at least."

Having only seen the great draco lich briefly, and both times when fighting for her life, Manic was hard pressed to remember the markings, but the look of the decaying flesh was enough..."So you're ending up just like him then?" she said looking up from the terrible sight to again meet his eyes, "Well if it can destract you; more power to you. I'm afraid this world hardly functions like what you are use to....The Marked Lands is my town-my world....We've never even seen dragons here....Most people think they never existed....."
"Hey Manic...." White looked Valen while he spoke, eyes focusing oddly on his form and yet seeing beyond the simplistic mass that made up his body, "We're not going to win this one...." he turned his face towards the pirate and let tears shimmer in his eyes.
Manic looked at him slightly annoyed, "With Valen here...." she turned back to the view of tower, "We'll have a chance....even if Black is gone..." She laughed a bit, and crossed her arms over her body, then looked to valen with a smile, "Right Old Man?"

"Becoming like him? Yes, in a sense. I absorbed him and his energies, it just takes time to filter it so i can use it without him being able to overtake me."
He laughs slightly and crouches down, energy surging over his body for a moment before he closes his eyes. Opening them again, he curls his lips into a smirk.
"Hmm, you want me involved? Looks like your people are in for quite a few shocks then."

"I'd test what you know of your own abilities before you just go on trying to use them here. I'm not sure how they willl react with the Awakened.....the war is long over; 15 years as a matter of fact but i wouldn't want you to be stuck with your p***k in your hand...." She smiled as if something were playing in the back of her mind. "Black is gone, whether out of our reach or betrayal...still gone. Moved over to the tower and in-so to that black magic user...." A sneer passed over the pirates face and she pulled out a cigarette, pressing the end between her lips and lighting up with an antique old stlye lighter.
"Manic....black wouldn't betray us, would he?" White had grown accustomed to the dragon, and even with his show of power, the energy that rippled around him as he crouched; he just seemed like someone who was supposed to be there.
Manic shrugged, "No idea mate...no idea at all..." she looked back at Valen, "I know you'll give them a run for their money though mate....if you choose to fight at our side. So what say you Old Man? You willing to join us, or you going to stand on the shore again and watch while we bilge?"

Sasuke pressed harder on the gas pedal of his SUV as it roared through the streets. Hunter had filled him and Hawk in on the situation Sane was about to find herself in first thing when she woke up. Now they were rushing to get to their humble abode. "So, then what did he say?"
Hunter rolled her eyes and took another deep breath, letting it out in a very audible huff. She was more than irritated with the constant badgering from the both of them about something that was not her fault in the first place. "He said..." She dragged out the words for emphasis of her annoyance "...the King didn't want her to turn on the Awakened and destroy us. It was all very confusing because I was trying to not admit that I knew about it, you know. But Sane slipped in telling the Sojourn about her alchemy. There is little hiding it now. We just have to try and hide her." She took another deep breath and looked out the window, holding on to the two front seats so that she could easily talk with the two boys in front.
Hawk looked irritated and even snorted a little at Hunter's last words. "Yeah, well apparently she wasn't the only one slipping around those brothers yesterday." His tone was full of disgust. He rolled his eyes and looked over at Sasuke. "I guess we need a smaller leash for these girls." He chuckled a little and went back to staring out the window.

Laughing as Manics' face takes the appearance of one contemplating something that none should know, Valen shakes his head and stands, walking to the edge of the roof and looking down.
"Hmm, I dont know about this Black. As for me, we'll just have to see what unfolds, both with the way things unravel and with how my powers decide to react with things here."

"I expected as much." She heard a familiar rumble, echoing off the buildings and smiled, "Looks like we have visitors then....White, can you get Sane for me? Tell her Valen is here. And we've got some old mates coming for tea." She smiled a little and looked to Valen.
White nodded, and looking sullen headed to the ladder leading down the the apartment.
"What brings you here Valen? You aren't the type to just jump worlds for no reason. You know in general what is happening here..." her face had taken on the serious notes that had given her the title of Captain, even beyond Sane's rationality, Manic was able to really look at the broad spectrum of the world she lived in. This was her town the same way Treasure town belonged to Black. She attempted to catch his gaze, "What have you brought with you to my shores?"

"Anything could have come with me. As for why, it seems me and Verilis fighting just managed to completely destroy a section of that last world, so I was thrown through at random."
Glancing back to Manic, Valens eyes narrow for a moment. The change in persona was odd to say the least. Perhaps he'd gotten to used to expecting some for of well, manic behaviour. Looking back, he sighs and runs a hand through his hair, the long wild strands seemign to glow as the catch the light in the movement, sending rays of dark reds, silver and onyx back into the world.
"Granted, I'm happy its a place like this. Those crazier worlds can be a severe pain in the a**."

Sasuke turns the SUV onto Sane and Manic's road and soon comes to a stop in front of their building. He puts the truck into park and pulls the key from the ignition before looking over at his two companions. "I'm sure Sane will be expecting some kind of news like this, so it shouldn't be too big of a surprise to her. Who knows about what she told Manic though? So, let's just keep it to the facts, okay?" He looked at Hawk and then Hunter.
Hunter nodded her head, and slid over in the seat, taking the handle of the door and pushing the door wide open. She jumped down out of the backseat and flung the door back shut behind her before turning to look up at the roof.
Hawk nodded stiffly at Sasuke before pushing his door open as well and jumping down from the truck. He shut the door and then made his way to the opposite side of the truck where the building was, not really caring to look up first. He was trying to force the disappointment of the situation from his mind and face so that he could enjoy a reunion with their long lost friends, but he was failing miserably.
Sasuke took a deep breath before following suit and jumping from the driver's seat of his SUV. He shut his door and twirled his keys around his index finger as he looked up at the roof with Hunter. "Hey! Manic!" he yelled and gave a simple wave.

The smile was wide and welcoming, "AHOY MATES! Come on up!"
"Are they really here?" Sane was making her way up the ladder followed by White. She looked at Valen and politely smiled giving him the same warmth genereally offered up by a 1920's housewife recieving her husbands boss for dinner. "Mr. Valen....It is a pleasure to see you again..." Her eye trailed off as she saw the three; Hunter, Hawk and Sauske making their way to their apartment.
"Its the other Fire lady!" White said happily standing beside Manic and waving down at them.
"Yes white, it the other fire lady...." Sane smiled but with the admitance of the pressence of Awakened and seeing Manic's unmarked cheek, the smile was sad and tight.
"Wonder what brought them round...." She had her hand on a cigarette she'd managed to light. "Looks like we have many unexpected guests."

Sasuke had on a hint of his usual big grin as he stood next to Hunter looking up at the roof. He nudged her shoulder with his elbow. "Come on, let's get up there."
Hawk was already halfway up the ladder to the roof, hearing everyone above already there, he was already slightly happy when he reached the top. "Manic! Sane!" He couldn't help the relieved smile that crept on to his face. It had been a long time since he'd seen them.
Hunter followed Sasuke as they too began to ascend the ladder behind Hawk. Hearing the excitement in his voice definitely brought a sense of relief to her, and the knot that had been twisting in her stomach began to loosen. They popped up on top of the roof behind Hawk, and began walking towards the group up there.

Sane moved forward to embrace Hawk....it had been a very long time, and even with all the anxiety she had been feeling; seeing his face was definately something that brightened her day, "It's so good to see you again!"
Manic stood back, glancing again at Valen before moving towards the newcomers, "Hawk! Sweet Hawkeye, how good to see you again mate! Its been too long!"
White laughed and ran up to Hawk, "You look just like Hunter!" he said and extended his hand, "my name is White!"
