I think refusing to run for president simply because your ideals are different than what people expect of the president of the capitalist society to be stubborn and immature. If you were able to be a humanitarian and get elected that way, why not flaunt your communist ideals? Why not reform bills via the legislature in place? As the president, you could very well spread ideas of marxism, socialism, communism, humanitarianism, you are the voice of the people, afterall.

I think honestly it is a good goal to strive for, and if you were kicked out of office when all you were trying to do was "change things" the current state of America as it is, the people very well might riot in hopes to overthrow organized society as we know it.

In the end, I think little short of a civil war will settle it, which pains me to say, but capitalists show little sign of wavering or being willing to change. Ever. I really dislike the idea of a civil war, considering the state our country is in right now, I think it would be quite the bloody battle, and quite one sided... wars tend to make nationalism way to high.

Thanks for considering it rather than instantly scoffing and considering my goal stupid. I don't really want to be president to be president. It looks boring, a lot of pomp and image, and I hate that. But if I managed to become president, or even if not, I would have a voice that could potentially reach all of America and get people thinking. Something harder to avoid than an awkward stranger telling you how insufficient the economy you grew up with is, or fliers crying about inconsistencies you've been taught to brush off by media.

Essentially, it would be the same as the prior, but with motion, action and a serious feel.

Yeah, but the media would still likely brand you an extremist or "communist" and that you wish to undo the moral fabric of society and drink christian's babies' blood. America is just that ******** up.

On a related topic, does anyone else cringe when you hear "7 year old christian gunned down" in the newspapers? Like, did that child honestly "choose" that religion? And why do parents force such ridiculous theologies on their children... I don't believe kids are capable of being religious, it's hard enough to understand reality, let alone the supernatural. (when you're, say 1-12 years old)
