As each of you walks into the designated meeting site, fifty paces away from the desert. You notice each other. There is a small fire burning, in the middle of the site.

Lyrath looks warily at the other people approaching the spot he was told to go to. Walking up to the fire, he reaches into his bag of holding, and pulls out his quarterstaff to lean on.

A black carriage led by two horses pulls up a few yards from the fire. There is a shadowy, misty apparition holding the reins.
Shortly after it stops, a door on the side opens and a young elf exits the carriage. Dressed in a flowing silk dress, she is holding a pink parasol, that she decides not to open.
"Hello and well met." She says to the others. The apparition on the front of the carriage disappears, and the elf frowns. "I am guessing we are all here for the same reason? If so, then I probably shouldn't hesitate to ask. Would any of you happen to know how to lead horses? The spell I was using to do the job for me seems to have expired, and that was my last scroll" She says, trying to be friendly. It would not do at all if they started out distrusting or despising one another.

((Fyi, Marten is a Madman and a con-artist, but you will find this out later!))
"My my my what have we here! Such a lovely diamond in this ruff! Allow me to introduce myself milady, the name is Marten Rozeline, Thespian extraordinaire!"
Marten took a long bow, all the while assessing the wealth of the naive girl. He though, "They may live long, but elves are too trusting of us shortlives." As Marten stood upright he walked over to the girls carriage, looked at it inside and out, and gave the horses a once over as well.
"Top notch animals and a wonderfully crafted carriage! My darling princess, it would be my honor to be your coachman in this harsh desert, although, we wont be getting far."
Now bored with the girl Marten walked over to the one leaning on a quarterstaff he leaned in and ever so calmly spoke
"I can talk to fish!"

(So sorry I haven't posted yet been sick for a while)
Gimble shanks sits up almost coming directly out of the sand. He had arrived on the scene about a day earlier and had fallen asleep or passed out. Either way he awoke with sand in places he didn't know he had.
Looking around at the people gathered around he thought it was just his luck to get stuck with these lot. Then again they might have some valuable stuff.
"Hello all, I bet your here for the same reason I am"
(Orange is from now on the color that my character's speech shall be in. I might stop using quotation marks too)

Marten smiled at Lyrath and stepped back, he looked at the other people arriving, as well as the strange elf poking at their fire and the sandman. The sandman was his next target he walked over to him and sat next to him,
"Quite the odd sleeping place, yes?" in an quieted voice he asked Gimble, "Whats your take on the lot? That Lyrath fellow looks a little....violent. The names Marten, and I am pleased to make your acquaintance, mr, umm?"

Gimble began to cough uncontrollably, sand flying out of his mouth with every cough. He barely noticed the Stranger sit next to him until he spoke. "Yeah it is, Kinda wondering why I picked this place myself, As for the group in front of me, I think that as long as they don't try to cross me, they're all perfectly fine. The names Gimble Shanks, or The Dagger as the guild calls me" Gimble held out his hand to Marten, he had something up his sleeve that would work as a nice icebreaker.

Marten grabbed the mans hand and proceeded to pull him to his feet
