Alexander was caught off guard when she didn't get angry, and then he thought of the scenarios if he were to keep the flirting going. She could be charmed...she could change the subject...oh no! Maybe she is just being nice! Should I just act like all the Leekozri's act like this when they see a pretty girl? Hm...It's the only thing I've got. Might as well. Heck, If I like a girl, then I shouldn't let her slip away anyway, right? "Would you like to dance?" And then he put on his most charming smile he got and hoped that she wouldn't decide to get agitated after all.

"Why not?!" Mistletoe said with a big grin. Then she grabbed Tonina's hand and Ketsle's hand and dragged them to the dancing area.

"Well that is true...ok then, let's dance!" she said with a grin and took him towards the open area where the band was playing.

Selaine blinked, then smiled a bit sheepishly. "I'd love to! But...I should forewarn you...I'm a horrible dancer. Never really learned properly and all, and well...we can try if you're not afraid of having your toes stepped on occassionally..." she said nervously. Somehow he seemed as if he would be the type of Leekozri who was light on their feet, regal on the dance floor, whereas Selaine was the type that only danced when no one was looking, and danced badly then.

[Mini-Prompt]
The dance floor was still rather uncrowded as of yet with only a few other leekozri daring to dance just yet, the rest of them who weren't milling around or getting a bite to eat hovering along the sidelines and clapping their hands or stomping their hooves to the music. The band was playing a lively tune with two fiddlers dueling back and forth in harmony as if dancing in their own way. It was just the kind of music that welled up the desire to move inside of you, and the people already on the dance floor seemed to be having a blast!

Damian smiled and began to dance. He even took Edon's hand and swung her around.
Not seeing anyone that caught his eye D'hria shrugged and went to go dance by himself. He knew that he would find someone soon enough. As he walked over to where the band was playing his tail began to sway with the music, soon his hips joined and eventually his whole body was moving with the beat. He was actually really good at it, since he was a professional dancer, though he usually danced to more eastern music.

"Sounds Awesome!" Tonina smiled and let herself be lead to the dance floor before letting her body move with the music and following the lead of the other dancers.

Ketsle chuckled as he was pulled onto the dance floor, his tail already moving in time to the beat, his hoof tapping as well once he stopped, his head bobbing slightly before he took Mistletoe's hand and began to twirl her about, a grin appearing on his face as he did so, enjoying how the music just filled him and made him feel alive.

Mistletoe giggled as she was twirled. Then her face lit up and she grabbed Tonina's hands and began to rock back an forth, in a kind of swing dance.

Edon was lively as she danced with Damian kicking her hooves out in time with the music and twisting around easily when he swung her around, her shoulder length hair whirling around her neck with the motion. A huge smile was plastered on her face and her eyes sparkled with joy even as her hair whirled around her neck. Clearly either she was a natural or she'd danced quite a bit (her enthusiasm for it seemed to indicate the second). At one point when they were dancing hand in hand back and forth for a moment she said above the din of the music, "You're pretty good at this! Do you know how to do flips?"

Selaine smiled and unclasped her cloak, leaving it with Bagara. "Alright then, let's give it a whirl!" she said as she took his hand. "Just go easy on me!"
((By the way, if anyone wants to get a feel for the music, I'm thinking something between big band swing (think "Jump, Jive, and Wail" by the Brian Seltzer Band) and hoe-down country swing (think "Devil Went Down to Georgia" by the Charlie Daniels Band or upbeat fiddle dueling). You can find all sorts of examples for those on Youtube smile ))

Swinging around with Mistletoe and Kestle, Tonina was glad she had come! She had been nervous about meeting new people but was really ejoying herself. The music was like magic, transforming the room and people before her eyes and she was amazed at how much they came alive, twirling and swinging together on the dance floor!

On the sidelines, Whiskathor clapped his hands in time to the music, a hoof beating in time as well as he grinned. What lively music! Too bad he himself didn't have a dance partner.
Ketsle grabbed the hands of both girls and spinning with them, giving a hoot of joy as he did, his cloak snapping with the turns and beat of music it seemed. He grinned good naturedly at them both, letting go momentarily to spin Tonina by herself, and then Mistletoe, grabbing both again.

(*laughs* That was exactly the style I was imagining! xd Whoo!)
"I'm afraid I must admit that I don't. Why don't you teach me?" Damian said as he laughed. He didn't know when the last time was that he had had so much fun! It felt good to let loose.
"WHOO!" Mistletoe giggled as she was twirled. "Isn't this great?!" she said over the sound of the music.
D'hria soon wandered off to the sidelines. His face bright with excitement he stopped to catch his breath. He saw a green striped Leek standing near by and chuckled. "Great night, huh?" he asked with a grin.

Selaine was unsure and it showed, but she tried her best to step with him and thankfully didn't completely have two left feet even if she wasn't the most graceful thing on the dance floor. She found herself chuckling with delight as they swayed and stepped together in time to the music. "You're right, this is kinda fun!"

"Well alright then," Edon said. "But maybe we should start off with something simple and build up to the really fun stuff. Do you think you can flip me over your arm like this?" she asked as she showed him what she meant with her hands before continuing, "and still hang onto my hand?"
