Sami nodded, "Your safe. Though it's best if you don't fall." She finished stretching and looked at Alexander. "Let's see what you can do."

Taking the last straw, Vincent looked at it. It was the one of medium length, so Star would be his recruit. He didn’t know Star, but her name sounded familiar.
Must be someone else I knew. He dismissed the thought.

“Good.” The Shendai Lord said as all straws were drawn, “Teach these recruits everything you know. Train them in what they lack and make good Shendai Knights out of them, like you three have become.”
Before he would send them to Licia, he would h-give them a starting point.
“And about your task to restore Licia,” He began explaining, “start with Cinora. This Kingdom used to be the connecting between Licia, Yajun and Kania. If Cinora is restored and the trade routes are safe, then more recourses can be send to speed the restoration. Further I have no leads. Once you arrive in Cinora, find out what’s causing problems and deal with that. And never mention you are Shendai Knights or can use Magic. Or you’ll find people will refuse to deal with you.” Thinking for a moment he thought he said everything, “Any questions?”



“I wasn’t planning a dive.” Alexander joked, stepping from the edge. Facing Sami, he held out his hands with his palms pressed together. Slowly, his hands opened and a fireball was created.
“I can create this.” The fireball was the size of his hand, “If I make it bigger it gets harder to control and then it’ll explode.” The first time he did this, he barely could toss the fireball before burning his hands.
“Tossing a fireball isn’t a problem, but it’s changing it’s direction after tossing it that’s the problem.”

"Uhm... Are you sure that's safe?" Alexander looked at her from over the fireball. Since he couldn't redirect the flame, he didn't knew if he'd catch it. Never the less, Sami sounded like she knew what she was doing.
"Okay, here it comes." Taking a moment to ready himself, he tossed the fireball at Sami.

Sami caught the fireball and sent it back to Alexander. As she did this she took a quarter of a step to the right, moving out from in front of the other. She made sure she had a handle on the flame, in case Alexander missed.

"Concentrate! Stop the flow to the flame or send it back to me." Sami said, seeing Alexander face. She still had her hold on the flame, but wanted to see how he would handle the situation.

“Not that comes to mind.” The Shendai Lord answered.

Vincent had no questions about the task, so he would look for his recruit.
“We’ll meet up at the gate, is that okay?” Vincent asked the other two. They had to find the recruits and inform them about the task. It would be easier to explain the task to all three at once. Also, everyone could be introduced. They would need to work together in this task and trust each other as a group.



Forcing himself to focus on the flame, his concentration was all about decreasing the flame’s energy. Slowly but surely, the flame grew smaller. As long as Alexander kept focussed. The fireball was back to it’s normal size. Lower his arms and holding the flame in front of him, Alexander sighed relieved.
“That went well.” His smile had returned as if nothing had happened, “Here catch!”
