Ellery relaxed when his mother picked him up, feeling secure in her grasp. Plopping down in the grass, he looked at the other green male laying in the grass. Sniffing at him, he found the smell familiar. Ellery tested his wobbly legs, taking a few steps to look for other smells to explore.

Chaos looked proudly at Emily, a radiant smile on his face. "Very good Emily!" He said, patting her on the head lightly. He then looked over at Ellery, excited to now see his whole family together and happy.
Eclipse beamed at her mother, happy to have made her proud. She nuzzled lightly against her mother's leg before noticing a pretty flower. "Ooh!" she squeaked excitedly, jumping on top of the flower, accidentally squishing it. She gave a little pout when the saw the flat flower..

Sorbete stifled a giggle as she watched Eclipse crush the flower that she seemed to admire. Soon after, she looked around, spotted a nearly-identical flower that wasn't too far away. She detached herself from the family once more to walk over, pluck the flower, and walk back. She dangled the delicate thing above Eclipse's head for a small while before releasing it, sending it gracefully whirling its way to the purple kit.
Emily gave another satisfied chirp as her father acknowledged her for her speech. She felt like she was getting ahead and was suddenly hungry for more words to devour and rebound at her parents. "Verree goot!" It had to mean something good; after all, her father said it in such a pleasant tone.

Ellery's legs gained steadiness as he took more steps. He paused to look around him. So many new sights and sounds to explore, he didn't know where to start.
Ellery felt something under his front paw. It.. wiggled. Slowly lifting his paw, he saw a bright colored beetle. Realizing it was free, the beetle started to move. Instinct took over and Ellery slapped his paw back down on the escaping bug. Catching the bug only enough to halt it's escape, the beetle's front legs and feelers wiggled frantically in protest.
Ellery was fascinated by the rapid movement. He leaned his face in for a closer look. The beetle wiggled and twisted in it's attempts to free itself. Ellery touched the beetle with his nose and sniffed.
Finally finding something solid to climb onto, the frantic bug's front legs latched onto Ellery's nose. Ellery reared back in surprise, his front paw releasing the trapped beetle. Finding freedom, the frenzied beetle made his escape, clamoring over Ellery's nose and up his face.
Ellery squealed in surprise as he toppled over backwards.
