AHHHH MY LEG!!! BUT I DONT THINK IT SEES ME SO I WONT EVEN ATTEMPT TO CRAWL AWAY!!! AHH STOMACH!!!! OH WELL I WANTED TO LOSE WEIGHT SO ILL STAY HERE INSTEAD OF ROLL AWAY! AH MA-----" Seriously though, I can imagine like if the world turned all SH on us, people would probably be standing in the streets looking at the monster "omg what do I do? Oh look, a dark hole that leads to a exitless room, let's jump in!" uhhhh, if there was a dark hole, most of us with our Silent Hill knowledge would probably jump in first xd , however if we saw no exits.... I got ma pipe..... Yeah, but see people who aren't gamers/horror movies obsessies wouldn't know that there would be a monster in that dark hole that they would have to defeat if they had any hope of escaping. But we would and we would be prepared with our pipes and wooden planks!

It's true that two is a lead to four, but four's story wasn't premeditated with two. You don't have to get defensive. It just facts, we're not saying it's any less of a Silent Hill.
;D never said SH4 derived from 2's storyline, only stated it was mentioned in sh2. I even agreed when i said "you're right that it has no storyline connections". Every Silent Hill has it's... how to say.... "reason for buying". Most common ones are is that 1 and 3 are linked, 2 has pyramid head, the movie had pyramid head and some awesome scenes with Alessa, and SH4 had *imo* one of the hardest and most complex story's behind it, as it took me longer to piece together SH4 than it did the others. really, i made the mistake of posting "i get defensive" cuz i wasnt bein defensive in that quote. *u'd know if i was defensive.... i can relate defensive to some old comment wars i had between Nemesis vs Pyramid head videos..... THAT was defensive*. Really, the one thing that drives me to pure rage or to be defensive is when people throw rocks at SH4 completely as if it didn't deserve to BE in the SH series. Actually, isn't it that each game does not have any link besides the town itself? Each game can stand alone completely by itself and it would still be a great game. Although some of the characters are linked to characters from other games but it's not like that relationship influences said games in anyway. Well, each game has its own story, yes. And there are things that connect. 1 and 3 are the cloest links though. 2 stands alone but it was the mentioning of Walter Sullivan in SH2 that made SH4 based on the Walter Sullivan case...... *how else are they gonna obtain the Walter Sullivan scenario?????? Pull it out their a**?????* Infact, Silent Hill 4 takes place in Henry's apartment which is located in Ashfield, near Silent Hill. But the hole takes him to differnt places IN silent hill..... The makers said in an interview that "Silent Hill 4 is suppose to mark the dawn of Silent Hill's evil reaching beyond it's borders." Oh my, I did not know any of that. Well that's what I get for not playing the games. That's okay though. My friends have them and I can just whore it from them. SH4 was first presenting the idea that Silent Hill was escaping its borders? How far beyond? I thought that would have been SH3? Where was Heather Mason living, at that time? Remember, she had to get a ride from Douglas in order to actually get to Silent Hill and it had already infultrated her mall, shopping district, and subway system... so where were they living? There was a Happy Burger, but seeing as how that is a fast food chain, there could be HB's anywhere at any given time. Wouldn't that mean that SH3 was the first initiation of Silent Hill growing beyond its borders? I'm asking in case there's information I am unaware of. sweatdrop
